  1. For instance, what if we gave players a two game suspension after four major penalties? What do you guys think?

Also, it would be rather interesting to have the option of using PED's on your players… But if they get caught in the random drug screenings they may be suspended for the whole year! Haha!!

  2. I can't seem to move good SHL level players for the life of me - sheesh! Offer anything, a cup of bad coffee would even work! I really just need to boot some cap so I can unburry a player in the affiliate.

  3. I have a bunch of two Way contract guys I need to move that are on my tradeblock. They are all in my affiliate right now. If you want them shoot me an offer. Just need to free up cap so prospects or picks would be awesome...going cheap...as I can.

  4. I have two members of my Clapper team that I'm almost positive I offered long term, two-way contracts to. I went to assign them and couldn't because they had one Way contracts. Am I just imagining this or is anyone else seeing this. It's either a bug or a terrible error on my part. Either way it's a shot to the foot for the next 7 seasons!

  5. "And here we come again last place moans

Skating down the lonely road to get owned

Like Crosby we all wear too much cologne

...And we've made up our minds

...We'll lose at least 35 more times!

Cause we know what it means...

To skate along the lonely rink of dreams!"

A part of Slaughterville's new theme song for the season 24 lineup calls!

  6. Congratulations to Majko Masina and his Pittsboro Wildwings for winning the GHL season 23 Grander's Cup! (Just making crap up a little at the end there...)

On another note - I did not win the golden toilet this season...so I went and bought one!

  7. I've noticed in both Clapper and Biscuit a bit of an odd trend. In both leagues there have been several matches that I have won and lost that leave me scratching my head in confusion. The box score will show a 100% lopsided advantage to one team and by all guessing you would assume that the team with all the best stats would most likely be the winner. Not the case. I saw a match recently where a team put up early 50 shots and still lost to a team who put up half the number of shots and were stuck in their defensive zone for nearly 65% of the match. I have seen games like this previously but feel as if it has been the norm this season. Once more, I'm not complaining necessarily because my #14 Clapper team beat one of the top seeded teams recently on a match just like this but I don't know if I agree with how often a match like that can happen.

As additional info, on many games that we lose and have a high percentage of positive stats, my entire team will play in the green or blue and my goalie will post something like a 55 performance. I rest my goalies well and find that kind of a strange dip in performance rather odd, especially after he had just came off the bench from resting the last game and the entire team was killing it.

    Any one else seeing this?

  8. All members on my affiliate teams that are not designated as "untouchable" are on the trade block. Not looking to add major salary this year but am interested in trade talks. Cheers!

  9. Just a question:

How long in advance do you look for next year/free agency/draft?

I'd say abouy 1/3rd into the season, i'm usually ready/set for the next year.

I used to track at about the halfway mark but I've found that to be a log of unnecessary work - plus at the final prospect rankings a lot of things change. You can also see every interested prospects seasonal growth and have a better idea as to what your team may need after seeing your team play all 60+ matches. That's me though...

  10. i think I have players that have hidden traits that include "volcano-like explosive rage" because some of my players that are classified as more docile are creating some of the most horrid penalties. Posted below is a prime example: Benjamin Genest is a pretty easy going Defender that 'hates dirty hits' but I think he must store his anger deep below the surface and when it erupts creates massacres on the ice. I like this trait!

  11. I understand your feelings about teams being deconstructed, trust me, I do! Go back in previous posts on this subject and you will see me fighting tooth and nail about it but typically there is no good resolution to those threads and I don't anticipate one coming from this. My feelings aren't hurt and I have no particular bias toward Kim (who's he?). In fact, I only know one person here in person and we rarely have any trades occur due to needs not always aligning. Is there anything else you would like me to divulge?

  12. I've seen the rise of many a player in both leagues that I'm in. I've been apart of unfair CPU trades in the past and still attempt to do CPU trades when it makes sense on both ends. I offered a trade last night and gave a first round pick and a 82 OVR 19 YO goalie in return for a 25 YO, 84 OVR goalie and still got shot down. That all to say, I've seen you (Jihee) make some very questionable trades in your rise to the GHL also. You are not without blemish and I suggest that if any of us decides to bring this topic up again that you address the individual first and then if the response is not taken then log all your info and ask Glawin and Anders about it in the appropriate section. Once more - I've played my hand in the pointing finger game too but it only leads to more frustration. Find a different way to do it. Jusatin, because someone doesn't directly state that "you're cheating" doesn't mean they aren't saying it.
