    @GregJ: so most the time when I get injuries it's one of two things. A: it's an old dude. B: it's a small dude. Have you found that this is the case for your guys or not? Let's try to figure out what causes injuries and who might be more injury prone

    I checked this out- that was helpful! I double checked my numbers by just throwing my entire team into a trade with a team above me to see the calculations. That seems to be a pretty quick way to figure out your existing budget as well.

    I just got promoted to the SHL in biscuit. Almost every single player I have has a promotion Clause and is coming up with me . This is concerning to me because while it showed that I had $8 million dollars in cap space for next season I don't believe that's going to be accurate whatsoever. As of right now if I promote and go in the due to unseen promotional clauses effects on my salary cap, I'm not gonna be able to sign a goalie… That's very concerning to me

    Match 60 Postgame Press Conference: Coach Martin Reuger (Blakey Black Flag): "This season couldn't have ended in more dramatic fashion for our team. The boys played tough all season and we were only in the top 2 for two days out of the 60, so you know they were hungry for this. We have a lot of respect for Nottingham who had a real tough break today with an overtime win. They were the top team to beat all season but I just want to give props to our guys for hanging in there in the chase - it takes a lot of heart to pull this out and they deserved this. The crowd was electric all season and we're so happy to be giving the Blakey fans something to reward their enduring spirit. We're looking forward to our next challenges in the SHL and will start prepping for that as soon as we get done celebrating this week! Thanks everyone - now I need to go wash this Gatorade off!"

     

    Also - Congratulations to BfGore for capturing 1st this season in the BHL!

    Freaking Tigers- I hate that team! We're now in 3rd with one game to go and out by one point - we have to win tomorrow and Nottingham has to lose for us to get promoted. Uggg - I'm really hoping this isn't a repeat from two seasons ago where we won 40 games and then got knocked out of the first round of the playoffs :(

    This sucks - my team is bleeding points right now and have taken a step back to 6 points out. The most frustrating part is that my entire team (sans Goalies) are outplaying our opponents even in our losses but our goalies seem to want to go do anything else beside stop pucks when they are starting. What the heck!

    Ok, what the heck is going on with my goalie? That same goalie I mentioned earlier in this thread (Keene, 76 OVR) kills it as a backup but can't seem to play well at all as a starter. Check out some of the attached screenshots. How do I get his amazing backup performance to equal his starting performance?

    Thanks! It was a close one - I'm still baffled at how faceoffs don't really mean anything. I only won 8 and still won while I once won almost all of the faceoffs and lost. How does that happen? I've also noticed that some players in the GHL only have two centers who can actually take faceoffs and have a chance at winning one. I find that odd.

     

    The season is getting very interesting - I actually need you to beat Nottingham for me - and then maybe I can beat them here this next week too ;)

    I've always had very good goaltenders, skill wise, but they always seem to let me down when I need them the most. I switched goalies last season and this one is even worse :)

     

    At least I'm still in a playoff spot in the GHL, so yeah it could be worse. Just a little frustrated that my goalie is killing my season so far considering I thought I was going to improve from last season.

    There seems to be a great separation between perceived stats/ratings and what the actual player can do. I can't tell you how many goalies I've dismissed or invested into based solely off their OVR rating and initial performance out of the Junior leagues. It's all hogwash with goalies! I have a 76 OVR goalie who is killing it compared to my other higher ranked goalie in the GHL...why? Who knows - but I think it's a hidden factor that tends to make some goalies hot and cold depending on certain factors. Overall, I'm now attempting to dig for those X-factor players rather than just selecting based off of ratings.

    Really close right, I need so much this free spot too...will be a exciting end as we are 3 who's really fighting for!

    It's going to be super close! We're now 7 points behind your team and we play in a few days. A few days after that I play Nottingham and there are only 16 days left. Anything can happen but no one is really losing right now...definitely some good matchups coming up soon!

    Huge game today for us as we play the #1 seed Nottingham Panthers. We're sitting in 3rd and need every win possible to keep ourselves in contention for auto-promotion. Should be a good game at the Panther's home ice.
