  1. I'm ok with the 10%. If there was no budget cost then people could fill two teams full of their own prospects with no regard to finances. In the long run, 10% of a players contract is very doable but some teams will need to make adjustments with the new systems in play. Let's say you want 6 prospects to go into each of your Affiliate teams and let's assume that we are talking GHL budgets. If you have 12 guys with $1 Million contracts that calculates out to a grand total of $1.2 Million in Affiliate costs (nearly the price of one decent player).

I think it also depends on Manager style. Some may want to take the long approach and pick up a lot of young, developing players to build a pool while some Managers may prefer the win now strategy. Either way, I feel Like the 10% contract cost is a good trade off.

  2. Are the players already assigned to the affiliate teams "our" players, as in we can call them up? Or are they NPCs? I'm not in UAT, just something that came to mind.

Yeah, there are players there on your affiliate teams when you create them. Player setup is similar to the other foreign leagues. What I'm trying to figure out is how some players ended up on those affiliate teams. For instance, one guy is 18 but the player rights belong to another manager from the GHL. Other guys are seemingly just there to fill the void and can't even be accessed.

  3. Ya know, I was checking out the BHL the other day and Intell you what, that is maybe the most competitive and exciting league in Biscuit. There are some seriously good teams duking it out there. Fun to watch!

  4. Ya know I've been keeping track of his progression in three categories and it looks like it has gone up by a small margin on two of them in the last few days but I am confused by his dip in OVR. I did have an old guy once that dipped because his Endurance was fading with age but he was still increasing in other skills so he dropped a point and then three days later he gained a point...this guy is super young though...could it just be continued results of that bug from the previous update?

  5. I know there was a time when players were in the decline but I'm pretty sure that was worked out, right? My goalie I just signed off of my prospect pool has been dropping over the past two seasons. He's 20 and has dropped a point a year since turning 18. His performance ratings have been great and has played a decent amount of time since 18. Any thoughts from anyone would be awesome - thanks and happy 4th of July weekend!

  6. It can be really tough transitioning from a lower league to a higher one. The SHL - GHL transition is brutal. Having been apart of both relegation and promotion, I'm good with the way it is, as it adds a buffer for those new teams needing some priming of the tank so to speak. It also gives the people a reason not to tank intentionally...we're not the NBA!

A word to the wise: in a newly promoted situation try to minimalize how many One Way contracts you build your team upon as it may be easy to relegate the next season or so...

  7. I signed an amazing young Defender at the beginning of the season in Clapper to a long term deal. We are prepped and ready for relegation now but are still in the midst of the playoffs. He has 7 years on his contract but is concerned about his contract after signing this year (with a cool $5 Mill a year). He says he wants to move to a bigger club but why is he concerned already? Is it because he already sees the relegation about to occur even though we are still technically in the GHL? If not I'm really confused. Any thoughts?
