I'll be entertaining offers for Jeremie Cline (C - 96), Hector Murray (D - 97), and Gregoire Wright (G - 96).
What I'm looking for in return/player is (at least) a package of:
-One player (~90) to fill the vacated spot
-One skater (85+)
-1st round pick
Most of the remaining roster is up for trade negotiations as well.
-
Best of luck to the teams in the playoffs, at least it'll be a different team hoisting the cup this season!

ha! Yeah, I've been on RL vacation for a few weeks so not very active here, but have been wanting to ask you what is different this season?!?! Plenty of time to turn it around, trust me!
Welp, the biggest issue I suppose is my starter getting injured for 17 days. And my backup... at this point I can only assume he has misunderstood the term "goaltending" as guiding pucks into his own net.
Even still, I feel I'm having a streak of bad luck on top of that. After the injury, riding the backup, the team has gone 2-0-4-9. Wright is a big factor in the team, sure, but there should be enough quality in the team to pull off a (much) better record than that even when he's out.
But I still have my mind set on another cup run - will be all the more satisfying after climbing from the bottom of the standings.

Every damn game is a one goal loss now. Frustrating.
At least plenty of time to still turn it around.
-
Cats are having the worst cup hangover, playoff MVP Wright decided to extend his summer vacation by 17 days, and the offense is unable to put together more than two goals per game.
Oh well, maybe it's just a page out of St.Louis' playbook on how to handle the regular season.

St. Thomas Stray Cats complete the reverse sweep and take home the inaugural Golden Cup.
Congrats, Erzac!
Thanks!
Really couldn't have asked for a more exciting series. The slumbering top lines finally woke up for the 5th game to bring it home.

market might be rough, people desperate to compete with a lot of cap space overspending
And even overspending isn't always enough... wasn't in the old GPHM anyway...
-
It is certainly an enjoyable run - the Union is a strong team that directly counters my playstyle, so while we will fight until the last drop, it is a tough matchup.
That said, my team was built to win in the next 3-4 seasons, all key players are signed long-term, and I am impressed with their play (and balls) this year. The offence has been dominant throughout the entire season. If we fall here, I will still consider it a success.
Oohhhhhhhh. Well this is awkward. We are also planning to win in the next 3-4 seasons.
Of course we first need to figure out what those balls are that you speak of.
You both can rest easy, for the 'Cats are built to win *for* the next 3-4 seasons.
-
Congratulations to Erzac on a good series. Every game was very close and decided on one goal.
Cheers. A much more even series than what the wins show. Could've easily been a sweep the other way.

Awesome thread!
I like how Cline is a runner-up in 4 out of 6 possible trophies.

Erzac - how do you continue to bait my team into penalties. I remember our GHL/SHL playoff series from Biscuit where I took 50 more PIMs in a 3-game series. Now in Cage over 4 games the PIMs are 44-20. Something about the Stray Cats send the Leopards into a rage.
Simply a territorial dispute - Leopards can't handle Stray Cats wandering into their zone.
-
If FA players keep appearing they are devalueing players we currently have.
This. Any sort of FA spawning should be kept to minimum, and timed at one certain point (start) of a season.
The most frustrating thing is when you acquire a player in a trade, and then see a better one magically appear in FA a day later.

To add to this as the other team in the second trade - the draft pick I traded is back in my possession, whilst I still also have the player I acquired as well. Something is indeed not right with trading picks.
Edit: As a possibly related side note - the picks still appear under the name of the previous(unedited) team in the trading screen.

CPU teams can offer contracts to prospects. You still hold the rights until 21. You can offer a contract to your prospect that is signed with a cpu team at any time, and he'll join your team at the start of the next season.
Human managers can't offer contracts to prospects they don't have rights to.
Edit: It appears that gators type faster than cats.
