Yeah, if anything, I find the FAs are still too eager to sign for too little money. Ho hum, another season with us all with 90+ players and the two new teams barely able to scratch together a B squad, no offense! The economic engine is broken in this and needs to be fixed before the new launch, whenever that is. I'm always one FA from the title! I do think the reputation thing is now too out of control. Rebels just signed Sontag for $3M and I offered $3.7M and was denied. I'm fine with that, actually, as they are defending champs and all, but I got some message that I was over the cap, which wasn't the case because my other FA hadn't yet declined my other offer. The system should default to whichever FA takes your offer first. Now you can't make concurrent offers to FAs. I agree you shouldn't sign more than you can afford, but if there are two FAs that are more or less equal in my book, I have to fight for one and if I lose, hope the other one wasn't taken yet? That's not true to life. Maybe I'm the only one that feels that way. Regardless, until the salary cap and salary requests are realistic, FA combined with the elevated OVRs make the game kind of broken.

Uhm, raise your hand if you are still here! It seems that our league has almost vanished with few active managers and virtually no cross talk or anything for the past two months. I know there might be some "meh" feeling until the new launch, but just curious. Also, saw some surprising roster changes from typically very active managers. Also, let's not forget to congratulate Jusu of the Richford Rebels as Season 16 champs! Quite the upset!

You ever regret trading him for Eure? I doubt it. After playing 20 games, he was traded again the same season to the Elite and had decent stats, but his decline was inevitable. After one full great season, he was traded again and hasn't found a full time home since. Was a beast in the face off circle though!

Congrats to the Vandals and Kim for another Championship! The fact that you have a couple former Elite on your team clearly means Elite are right there in the running for next year, haha. I didn't overlook this one, ha!

It took a 3rd game shootout for Elite to finish of the Bangers, so well played. My players average, AVERAGE, 5 or more ovr per position, and your team made it a nail biter. Good luck next season and see you all in the reboot too#

I think that is me! My guys are pretty worthless, but I'll see what we can do. Playing dirty can't hurt much more at this point. Maybe they'll finally get some excitement into their game!!!

I only picked up 1 FA, but I bid up a couple others since everyone has too much cap space. Maybe I have watched Storage Wars too much! "Yep!"

I'm predicting another brilliant season of abject mediocrity from the Elite as they once again struggle to figure out that scoring goals is how you win hockey games. "Goals, we don't need no stinkin' goals!"

There does seem to be a bug where the non-playing players fatigue more during preseason but then reset the first day of the regular season.

Still right in the middle of the pack, although Birch (93ovr goalie) is now on Admirals, so good to see me at least improving OVR by dropping him. Marauders low age is not a good sign for the rest of us!

I think manager rep is a bad thing. Sure, a player should want to be a star on a team or play on a champion contender or both or just happy to get a job, my favorite type of FAs, haha. It just creates a lead that is very difficult to close with newer or behind managers. Better players will generally always prefer to sign with them which makes the manager better which then attracts better players, etc.

That video was brilliant. But that is how I got Hoffman last season by going large on a short term and then I just resigned him for long term at like half, but lucky for me it wasn't nearly as competitive!?!?

Obviously this wasn't me, but I'm not 100% against these trades even though I have been in your situation before. It does give you a bit of a head start on trying to make an offer, but if it is a highly sought after player, yeah, it's 99% of the time a big bust for the receiving team, as it was for me too.
