I think I only have 1-2 guys on my whole roster that are even showing up every night. Oh well, at least I can pad my playoff stats by winning the regulation playoffs! hahaha.

Hey everyone, I'm a bit old school and think I understand the gist of most of the advanced stats, but wonder what others thoughts are. How will you use this data and are 20 games in even enough of a data sample to make accurate projections. Could someone also do a quick description of each stat and it's relevance? Thanks.

Agree with you here and guilty as charged. But at least you have another person agreeing to it. Granted the computer AI is a lot better (and maybe better than ME when it comes to trade analysis) than it used to be, but it just opens up this never ending saga that has plagued this and other online community games since Day 1. That's why I'd rather just see it go away so it is one less thing to make people quit playing over.

I'm fine not trying to trade with Union ever, but agree that if just 1-2 managers get stacked offers, it is not only unfair, it totally takes the fun out of the game. Kind of surprised that someone hasn't swooped in to take over since it's an amazing team and at the GHL level.

Glad to see Bezerkers are going to push Prairie Stars/Dogs to to at least 4 games. I played them very tight all season, so had Elite not been eliminated based solely on goal differential and two goals at that!, this would have been a classic series. Oh well, now I can start trading and resigning before you all! HA!

Looking to trade my GHL 1st Round Pick (#11 overall). I'm looking to either move up in the draft (top 5 pick) OR 1st line Center/Forward.

Five to go and it looks like the top 2 spots in both conferences are locked. Also, the eight playoff teams in the east are likely settled, but those standings are tight! Clearly coming down to the last game. I'm just hoping for a gust of wind to keep me in the 8th spot five days from now!!!!

Ha, I stopped reading the Asst reports a few seasons ago. Chasing those comments led me nowhere. I'd like to see the assistant just go away. In its place see more ways to influence individual player development or other off ice type impacts.

Lost our 5th in a row! Down 4-0 Wendel's Rage, but managed to score two late to make it respectable after losing 5-0 yesterday. Stats all looked good as the line juggling seemed to spark a bit more interest by some of the players. Goalie has gone from great to horrible, ha! But hoping this is just our usual post mid-season slump early!

The next 8 or so games for me will show if my early success is fleeting or if I've truly turned the team around from last season's mess. All 8 games are against teams currently in the playoffs and most in the top half of the standings. Lost a weird one against Leopards last night. We each had a SHG and he went 1/2 on PP against the #1 PK unit in the league (well, before last night, haha!) by getting three goals in the 3rd to win 4-2. Didn't help I was short handed the last 3.5 minutes of the game either!

I'm ok with the multiple offers since I'd assume you won't get most or even any of your offers back. Otherwise you end up getting dumped and then it is a mad scramble with all the others that received lost out to get the ignored FAs. It can get frustrating. What could spice it up is if you are over your cap, you should lose your draft picks or something. There needs to be a really strong penalty for going over beyond just not being able to trade or assign players up and down. If you walk away with four 90+ players from FA but are over the cap, you shouldn't be able to skate off into the sunset towards the playoffs.

Good point and without a lot of great players appearing to be hitting FA, it's going to be slim pickings for the six teams coming into GHL, especially since they will be competing with the rest of us also looking to fill a few holes. Gives me hope i won't be in the bottom four out west Season 2, hahaha.

GHL portion of the draft when about as expected. I'm happy that the draft engine also seems to be better at listening to your draft preferences and drafting players on your "needs" list before some otherwise not useful players. Now that we have introduced 85+ 17 year olds, will be interested to see if/how soon they become 90+ovrs and test the development engine. I think it is reasonable to think the top 10 draftees might start in the upcoming season, but wonder how many in the top 20 will become 90+ ovrs.....

Maybe it is a hang over from Biscuit days, but I can't fully cheer for Hawks! haha. Although, I will say I am wholly behind Wolverines in their matchup. Off to a great start.

Thanks a lot guys. Not sure if that is worthy of "manager of the year" since I'm going to assume it is partly my fault I was in that place to begin with, but I'm back for Season 2, so that's all that matters!
