    Judging by your NY knowledge and Eichel jersey, I'm guessing you are from that area and a Sabres fan?  I'm from Boston so I got to see Eichel play in college at BU a few times.  Kid is an absolute stud!!  Can't help but root for him, despite being a Bruins fan...

    I grew up in Jersey (a Rangers fan), but ever since I moved to Syracuse and Rochester, I've become a Sabres fan.

    This map is awesome!  Although I'm a little biased since I'm a Geography major. :)

     

    And yes, Deferiet is a tiny...and I mean *tiny*...town in Upstate New York, not far from the Thousand Islands and the Canadian Border.

    Honestly, sometimes it's better to stay in a lower league for an extra season to beef up your team.  If you promote too soon, you might not be prepared, and you will find yourself being relegated after one season.  I've been there, the struggle is real. :)

    Part of the resolution is a work in progress, so I'm not sure if this will be fixed before the end of the current Howitzer season.  The games played should reset at the start of the new season.

    Also it would be nice to remove affiliation stats form TEAM LEADERS table. Does not make any sense to see somebody has 20 points player in AAHL before GHL league game. 

     

    I noticed this too.  Definitely makes sense to have AAHL stats only be shown when a player is on an AAHL team.  If the player is called up to GHL, the stats shown should be for GHL games, not AAHL ones.

    I just tried to initiate a trade and waited a few minutes while the system was thinking before I closed the webpage. Playing on iPad if that makes a difference

     

    Was Lumber simulating at the time you initiated trades?  At the top right of the screen, next to the game world name, season number, and day is the game clock.  If that clock is flashing "SIMULATING" then trades cannot be initiated.  Trades can only be initiated when the game world is not simulating, this is to reduce the load on the server when it needs it the most.

    Like I said, this will settle over time and eventually every other league will reap the same benefits. This is just the beginning and people are already looking to nerf one of the best features this game has.

     

    I have never said something about keeping their GHL place. My point was that people in GHL have usually been in the game for a long time and some of them have been struggling as well. So it doesn't mean that you have to change something for the good of the lower leagues. This should not be a walk in the park for any league or manager. Give it some time before trying to change something.

     

    I agree with koekefix.  The new affiliate system has been active a total of 2 weeks; we need to give it a couple seasons before we start protesting for something new.

     

    I find GPHM similar to other sports management sims (e.g. Hattrick, BuzzerBeater) in that it should take a long time to go from the bottom league to the top.  People have been able to move up the ranks fairly quickly with GPHM because there are numerous bot teams in each world, compared to the aforementioned sims who have tons more human players.  I'm sure there are some really nice perks to being in the top league in any computer sim, and it's extremely tough to dethrone a team in the top league, but when you do, boy does it feel sweet!  Then, of course, you gotta keep bringing your A game because the next guy is trying to usurp you. :)
