  1. I used the same email/password in UAT Mitts as my old Mitts team, not sure if this is causing a problem in UAT.

When I log in to UAT now, it still directs me to my new team that was auto-assigned (Solvay Stealth in BHL) not my old team (Bushong Hill Giants in GHL).

Should I deactivate my Solvay Stealth account and sign up again?  Will that work to get my Bushong Hill Giants back?

  2. Are we able to take over our old Mitts teams in UAT Mitts?

I tried logging in with my old Mitts username/password in UAT and the account was not found, so I had to create the account and (by default) take over a new team in the BHL.

My old Mitts team was the Bushong Hills Giants in the GHL.

  3. "One question though, was this a change in the recent patch or something, because I remember my friend doing the same thing to get the first overall pick a few years ago."

The switching of SHL/GHL promotion/relegation picks and lottery have been in effect since the draft was instituted, IIRC.

  4. I guess the trick is to trade with the GHL team that finishes the season in 14th place, they avoid relegation, or trade with the SHL team that finishes 1st because they will be promoted.  Both have a good shot at the earning the first overall pick, however this is not a guarantee.  There is a lottery system, so even the 14th place team in GHL and 1st place team in SHL may not get the first overall pick.  As with any trade, it's a gamble.

  5. Welcome, IneffableLeafs!

While GPHM lacks the visual bells and whistles of NHL 16, I find GPHM to be much more in depth.  Both games are good though!  I enjoy the community of GPHM, other human managers are much more intuitive than AI.

  6. There was discussion before about a depth chart for players, which would be similar to having a second lineup.  There's no news of this feature being added to the game, at least not any time in the near future.  It's a good idea nonetheless!  Keep the suggestions coming! :)

  7. I also like the idea.  To prohibit Game World Moderator abuse, there could be a system of checks and balances.

For example, the Mitts Mod may only be able to suspend managers/revert trades in Mitts, but he can view suspensions/reverts in other worlds.  If something smells fishy, the Mods can have a discussion.  Communication is key.  Make the Moderators part of a group where they can communicate with each other, either on the forum or in the game.  Anders would have the final say.

  8. Perhaps a three strikes and you're out rule?

    1. Formal warning

    2. Temporary ban

    3. Permanent ban

I concur with rainsilent, the Gamemasters at Hattrick do a decent job.  It's a huge community, so it's not possible to catch every cheater on the first try, but eventually, cheaters get their comeuppance.

Buzzerbeater, a basketball manager game similar Hattrick, has the same structure of Gamemasters.
