You clearly are very new to this game and still not getting the point. I honestly don't see anything wrong with that trade as I gave up some good prospects and a second round pick for a first round pick. At that point it was a gamble as it was not sure this would be a 2nd overall pick. So please before you start something, think before you act.

Well I know that a lot of managers think that way because I happen to speak to them... I never said it's my way or my game, you just happen to think that. I can't help it if you put things in your head. These are not my personal rules, I did not even start this topic and a lot of managers agreed that abusing the CPU like you did is wrong. I just agree and say my opinion, I think I have the right. No? Regarding my team, yes I started in GHL season one. Which means I have been playing for quite some time now and I started out with a shitty team as well, your team in SHL has a better team than I had in my first 2-3 seasons in GHL. And I accept everyone's opinion but that does not mean I can agree with abusing a nice game like this. You are the first person with that opinion and that thinks he's doing nothing wrong with abusing the CPU. Please face the reality as it is. You can always play games where you can go nuts with trades, like single player manager games.

@Reggie: You clearly do not get the point and it seems you will never get it. You expect us to understand your point of view when all the other managers think differently and also you don't even want to listen to what we have to say. You just plain block every advice we give you. Do you really think every other experienced manager in GPHM is wrong and wants to protect the GHL? Think about it for a minute. There are managers that came into the GHL and are building something nicely in a fair and nice way, like everyone would expect. In other worlds they even have agreed on not trading with the CPU and it works fine there. We just let this happen over here and unfortunately Biscuit has a very low activity and response time. Which explains why it took so long to get you blocked and why other managers are still abusing the CPU. Like rainsilent said, most managers look at their own team. But this can not continue like it's going. You can't expect to be the best of the best and end up in the best league after 2 seasons and trade like you're playing NHL 17 on easy mode (CPU). Other managers worked hard for several seasons and playing the game for more then a year and build things up to get in the GHL. You can't expect a new manager to come in and abuse it all. Like I said in my previous post, go and play hattrick. You will need at least 2-3 years to get a decent team. GPHM is new and you can get high rewards if you play it like you should. If you were honest right from the start you would not have acted the way you did, end of story. And rainsilent and me do not have any power whatsoever. We are just 2 active managers that speak up and that want to have the best for GPHM.
  4. Not that I'm aware of. These 2 guides should help you further though: http://forums.gmgames.org/topic/3146-tutorial-story/ http://forums.gmgames.org/topic/6845-general-user-guide/ @Steve: Yes, players with high spirit are good choices for an energy line. You will see that these players are more likely to be grinders or powerforwards.
  5. Hi Peter, There is a tutorial from rainsilent where he explains this perfectly: For goalies it's how far a goalie is willing to go. I personally think this is a very useful skill and helps with your team spirit (winner instinct) a lot.

@Reggie: I reported you a while back when you were still in BHL and we messaged a couple of times regarding your transactions. You agreed with me that you made some unfair trades as you wanted to be in the GHL asap (2 seasons you said, which you will accomplish if you keep going like this). You also mentioned that you will stop these unfair trades and play it like everyone else the way it should. You understood the fact that this is a very fragile subject and that we had some cases like this in the past. Everyone can trade like this with the CPU, but we won't because we like to play it fair and honest and make it fun for everyone and especially for new managers joining in. Despite our conversation you still did not get the message and kept on doing what you did in BHL. You made unfair trades for draft picks and players AND ignored everything else. For me this is a lack of respect to GPHM and all the other managers. If you prefer to play with CPU and make some unfair trades, I recommend you to play Eastside Hockey Manager or any other CPU based manager game but please stay away of GPHM if you continue to play like this. And to be honest, the edge will not be bigger and bigger. Every manager in the GHL already has a lot of experience and is playing between 4-7 seasons. This means managers from the beta as well and we had that patience as well. When I first started I didn't have a team like yours in my first 2 seasons and that was GHL as well. So you can't expect to be the best and break every gentlemen rule just to be in the GHL asap. Believe me wen you get in the GHL you will have a hard time because you want to grow so fast and if you continue like this there will not be a lot of managers that want to trade with you. We have other managers facing that same problem. The key is patience and in GPHM this is actually not so bad. Try to play Hattrick Football Manager, you will have to play at least 2 years to get some rewardings. In short: if you take your time and play it as it should you will get there as well but you can't compare yourself with managers that have been playing this since the beginning.

Thanks for all the hard work Steve! There needs to be action taken asap as other managers will take the example. This will lead into motivated and fair managers losing interest in GPHM and/or quit. We had one manager in GHL a couple of seasons ago that did the same and everyone knows the rest of it, unfortunately. But this is truly outrageous and not fair to the rest. As Steve said as well, what if new managers want to join and they have to start with one of those teams exploited by one of these managers that pick everything. I hope action is underway.

    Injuries

New game yesterday and another injury to one of my defenders. It was his first game back from an injury and again he got injured. Never happened to my team.

Sad to see that the same managers keep abusing the system. This takes away a lot of fun in GPHM for the managers that are trying to play it in a decent and honest way. Luckily it's way better then a couple of seasons ago but still it's noticeable. The teams that abused the system in the beginning still reap from those benefits as well.

I noticed my team has a lot of defensive injuries as well. At the moment 3 defenders are injured, first time I have this in 7 seasons.
  11. I have never seen a goalie wearing C or A and I just tried it but it's not possible. The reason why this trait is important for goalies is for their mindset on the ice. With their leadership they can encourage teammates and take the lead. It's the influence that gives this trait a big advantage for any player.
  12. There are no stats or documentation for your question. What we do now is that you can not master all tactics. As one tactic increases the other will decrease, it's all calculated in the usage time of that specific tactic.
  13. +1, you always see some managers try that. They probably think they are playing against CPU teams
  14. +1 I definitely like the HOF idea! I thought this was already in discussion and something that might come up in one of the next updates?

In a way you are right. However, this method will require other things to change as well if you ask me. For example, in the SHL there are a lot of CPU teams and trading with human managers will be rare. Maybe we have to allow new managers to step in the SHL or lower straight away, if we block CPU trades.
  16. Unfortunately you can only change this at the start. Once you accepted your team at the start, you can not change or customize your team.

I agree that it's harder to trade with CPU teams, which is a good thing. We can still improve but that's a good challenge. About the moderators, Anders has a valuable point. I don't think there will be a lack of moderators but can we trust everyone? I thought about that and I'm not so sure. The voting-idea is a good alternative. Altough I think that some managers might vote on the popularity of some managers. What if you have a rivalry with a manager and you constantly downvoting his trades? It's a tough decision to make...
  18. I would say it's always better if he can play in a better league. Depending on his performances and playing time, like bouncer also explained. If he is surrounded by better players in a better league, I'm sure he will gain more experience and will grow faster. But that also depends on your current roster and how good you are compared to the rest of the league. So many things to consider :-)
  19. They stay permanent. No news if this will ever change.

    Trades S6

Hi Jiri, I had a look at your team and made a quick analysis. You have 12 players that will leave the club by the end of the season if you don't offer them a new contract. In my opinion there are 2 players that you can offer a new contract: Ronny Casady and MAYBE Valle Ander. They both can help you in the first season of BHL. Ander is a bit old but he has some nice traits that can lift the morale of your team. If his salary demands are not too high you can sign him up for 1 extra year. After that he will be too old and his skills will only be decreasing. As for those other 10 players, I would let them go. They are too old or not good enough or they want to leave your club. The upside in that is that it gives you extra cash to use for new players coming available in free agency. In BHL you will have $4 725 000 to spend on salaries, which is a big upgrade from IHL. Please note that some of your players have a PC, which means they will get an upgrade in salary next season. My advice for you is to use the free agency and your draft picks to upgrade your team for next season. At free agency you will have a lot of opportunties. Spend your salary wisely and try to get some trades working. Don't forget if you're in BHL you can only trade with SHL, BHL and IHL teams. Good luck!

    Biscuit Abuse

I haven't seen a lot of abusive trades in the GHL this season. However in the lower leagues there are still some teams that are abusing the CPU and spoiling the game for others. Take a look at Collegeville Rhinos for example. I have seen a lot of trade movements with this manager and always with CPU teams. Not that I have any problems with that, but I do have a problem when the trades are being abused and unbalanced. The Rhinos sign free agents and trade them straight away for better players/picks. I have added a screenshot of their latest transaction and I have some doubts with that trade as well. It is not my intention to start a riot or bully the Rhinos because I would report anything suspicous or unfair in my opinion. I just want to point out that these kind of problems are still here and we really need to do something about it. I am sure everyone wants a fair and fun game and I am also aware that trades are never objective and everyone has a different opinion. That being said we need to find a good balance and filter this from the start. Cheers, K
  22. As a new manager you can join BHL/IHL/LIHL. He just joined in BHL (Thetford Mines Pegasus). He will sometimes be on the same ip-range as me but not on the same ip ofcourse.
  23. Hi, When will there be places available in Biscuit? I'm asking because one of my colleagues at work would like to join. I saw there are 0 places available but I have seen 1 CPU team in BHL. Thanks for the feedback! K
  24. Woop Woop, very nice! Thanks!!
  25. Any news on the extra flags? Waiting to get my Belgian flag Thanks!
