How I would see the national games being using a tournament style during playoffs / off season. The players would play in their respectable teams roster, but that wouldn't affect the player at all, no experience and no injuries. The games could be simultaneous during the real playoff games so you would have some players playing 2 games at once. This would take away from the realism part, but at least that way we could have the top players in each country's team (I for one at least would not give any of my players away for a national team to play them even if they had 1% chance to get injured or would miss real world games).

I'm dropping down to SHL, so all of my 1way contracts are up for grabs.
Reed & Järvelä are worth 2nd or 3rd round picks or equivalent prospects. Uotila is up for grabs for anything.
Also if you have bad contracts you want to get rid of (1W), feel free to send me an offer with a player included I can take with me to the SHL.

Don't think the goalie will want to sign with a IHL team either. He's SHL level now and won't really develop too well if played in lower leagues. If I were the owner of the team I'd try to get what I can when I can from him or alternatively try to get promoted with him in the team and then "lose" him for nothing.

Make sure there isn't a "#" mark at the end of your URL. For some reason it sometimes throws that in there and then you cannot access any of the pop-down menus. If that's the case just manually take away the # at the end of the URL and hit enter to reload the page.

I used to have a lot of injuries as well, then I started looking at the game reports, and almost always players that got injured were feeling tired in games prior to the injury. Since that I have been keeping almost all of my players training at easy if they ever feel tired and have seen a lot less injuries. Not sure if this actually has anything to do with the injuries, but it helps me to keep my mind cool.
And on S11 topic, the downfall has started and it seems like the first few wins of the season were just good luck. Time to start doing some changes to keep getting some points and not get relegated.

Hey and welcome to the best game world in the game Here's to hoping you will have fun during your first season. Take a look at your team and figure a way you want to lead it into.

The Breakouts had a really strong start (first few games) mainly thanks to the great performances of Seiter in the net, but have since came down to earth. My D needs some reinforcements for me to be able to compete for the middle of the league position. Right now the main goal is to stay in GHL, whatever it takes.
And don't worry Kim, you're going to be fine. It's really early on in the season still.

Hello all,
I accidentally resigned my top prospect Samuel Dobrik who I drafted 4th overall in the last draft.
I would really much appreciate if you didn't try to sign him, as him being in the free agency is the result of be being clumsy and trying to do things too fast while on mobile. I tried to recall him to my team to change the affiliate team he's in, but instead chose to resign him, thus making him available for all to sign.
So I kindly ask that you do not offer him a contract, as a mark of good sportsmanship, and if you have offered him a contract that you would take your offer back.
Thanks a lot,
Jussi

I like the idea of max contracts over waivers, but the max number should be a lot higher. I like to have multiple players just for injury backup, and then I really want to have all of my prospects (that have any change to develop well) under contract as well since computers don't train them on "hard".

Can you include screen shots of the trade and the players included?

Gulp, not looking too good for the Breakouts. Let's hope this is a season where we defy the odds and make it out of bottom 2.

The injury has nothing to do with the opponent playing in SHL. And I'm not only playing SHL teams. I switch between both leagues. That being said, a lot of teams try to get confidence boost by playing teams from lower leagues. I think this gameworld or GPHM in general has bigger issues to handle to be honest.
Notice the /s for sarcasm at the end of the first sentence did not try to be rude but to make a joke. I agree there are bigger problems but that's one that should be quite easily "fixed".
But yeah, players getting injured in pre-season should be a very rare occasion if it does happen. At current state they just are not worth playing for me at least. Too much risk, too little reward.

So far I haven't seen any drawbacks from keeping players on hard training. I've tried all the intensity settings. All seem to have no effect on gameplay
I actually think I noticed a difference when I had my players training on hard vs when it was on easy. They performed a little better when they didn't have the con "player looked tired during the game" due to having hard training. Could just be inside my head though.

They are shown as full salary as they will be traded to your main roster, not your affiliate team. So if you don't have cap space to take the full contract, you cannot trade for only the 10% value.

First friendly of silly season and my best D is injured for 18 days... Nice start of the season. After reading the game analysis it makes sense:
"They played a balanced game but tried to get under our skin with foul play and played a passing type of play but secures defence."
How about dirty and foul play is unrestricted in silly season? That would be a good idea.
Or not try to get confidence by challenging (at the challenge moment computer) SHL teams to pre-season games you know you're going to win. /s
But I agree I think that all teams should automatically play with fair. I got my first line center out with 35 days injury 4 seasons ago and since haven't really played any pre-season games. But also I think they should only be able to be scheduled between teams in the same league so one couldn't get "free" morale boost to their team.

Sucks that overpaying is the way to go. But to leave that aside, the FA pool this year seems super weak. I don't think I will stand any chance in the upcoming season without any proper centers or defenders. Hopefully I'm wrong and can figure something out, but at the moment it seems like 1 season trip to GHL, keep my young guns and hopefully dominate SHL again next season.
@Steve yeah that's a steep contract but I had no choice after losing the betting contest on Mirault, Senet and Flores.. Had to get someone in my team.
Looking forward to this season nevertheless and will try to do my best to not get relegated.

I'm going to kick this off with a buy advert.
Looking for a bona-fide first line center. Willing to pay 1st round pick and/or a prospect. Send me offers or messages and let's see what we can make out.

New season, new thread for trades!
Trade abuse with computers

Jiihee didn't accuse you of being a cheater once. He did raise a question if you are abusing the trade system. I'm not going to comment on the trade itself but please refrain from attacking directly against other managers. This goes for both of you.
