  1. Cool, Paul! I guess we need a nationality filter... NOW! Btw. the names for Czech and Slovak are mixed up - many Slovaks in the game sound Czech and vice versa (Kantárik is very good example of that). But I don't mind and I guess most of people wouldn't see the difference Back in the prototype all Russians had ladies names, that was hilarious
  2. Ok, I was quite surprised that I can make a decent team from even small country like Czech Republic. But to compete with Canada or USA, I guess Europe need to merge some teams... I can work with Slovakia for example and called it Czechoslovakia. I just hope no Slovaks play Biscuit, they would hate me... maybe CZECH REPUBLIC or *** CZECHOSLOVAKIA (Slovak players are shown with ***) CENTER Vítězslav Haviar - 28 yo - 92 OVR - R (Pegasus) *** Hynek Palic - 35 yo - 90 OVR - L (Minutemen) *** Karel Bartánus - 23 yo - 89 OVR - L (Breakouts) Gustav Baránek - 31 yo - 89 OVR - L (Dynasty Heroes) Oleg Kochan - 30 yo - 89 OVR - R (Rebels) Richard Michalcík - 27 yo - 88 OVR - R (Minutemen) Tibor Novák - 23 yo - 87 OVR - L (Rebels) Mojmír Klimek - 27 yo - 87 OVR - L (Pegasus) FORWARD *** Valdemar Chovanec - 28 yo - 95 OVR - R (Trojans) *** Vojtěch Dolnan - 33 yo - 94 OVR - R (Protons) *** Bořek Ocel - 26 yo - 93 OVR - L (Pegasus) Bohdan Jávorský - 35 yo - 91 OVR - L (Vandals) *** Luboš Pohorelec - 33 yo - 90 OVR - R (Grizzlies) Kašpar Necas - 31 yo - 88 OVR - L (Breakouts) Štefan Libic - 31 yo - 87 OVR - L (Wolf Pack) *** Viliam Przygodzki - 18 yo - 86 OVR - L (Marauders) *** Viktor Bártek - 33 yo - 86 OVR - L (Miners) *** Boleslav Capek - 24 yo - 86 OVR - L (Volcano) Samuel Dobrík - 18 yo - 86 OVR - R (Breakouts) *** Zbyšek Fiala - 25 yo - 85 OVR - L (Grizzlies) DEFENSE *** Oldřich Brož - 29 yo - 94 OVR - L (Grizzlies) Emanuel Tetliak - 23 yo - 89 OVR - L (Pegasus) *** Čeněk Kubus - 24 yo - 87 OVR - L (Admirals) Čestmír Hamaj - 19 yo - 87 OVR - L (Aristocrats) Emil Kantárik - 24 yo - 87 OVR - L (Leopards) Lubor Kubica - 25 yo - 86 OVR - R (Tomahawks) *** Samuel Zosiak - 19 yo - 84 OVR - L (Aristocrast) *** Roman Švelka - 36 yo - 84 OVR - R (Kings) Luděk Licko - 25 yo - 83 OVR - R (Stray Cats) Arnošt Krištál - 32 yo - 83 OVR - L (Kings) Vladan Lenarth - 31 yo - 83 OVR - L (Guardians) *** Vavřinec Jágercík - 29 yo - 83 OVR - R (Mohawks) *** Bedřich Alt - 33 yo - 83 OVR - L (Bulldogs) GOALIE Miroslav Senko - 21 yo - 96 OVR - L (Volcano) Robin Strass - 21 yo - 94 OVR - L (Sabercats) Radek Štulreiter - 28 yo - 90 OVR - L (Rebels) I guess you can see why I would merge the two - Slovakia does not have enough centers, Czech Republic has only few forwards and basically nothing for LW, separately they both suck at D, Slovakia has really bad goal-tending etc. Together this might be team that can play even matches with USA, but no one can match the defense of Canada, which is unreal.
  3. Great goalies, really shitty defense, Erzac But it is actually slightly better than what I was excepting from single European country. Maybe one can make at least Sweden, Finland and Russia + the rest of the Europe teams.
  4. I really like manager games with national teams, but it is complicated thing in here as nationality is only randomly generated for players. It would be nice, if manager country would play role - like that the team you are getting at the beginning is filled only with players of your nationality and the draft respect how many teams play at different levels - let's say if there are 5 managers from Canada, 5 from USA, 3 from Russia and 3 from Sweden in GHL, so you will have 5 Canadians and 5 Americans, 3 Russians and 3 Swedes in top16 places of the draft. Or something like that... Because if you are from Belgium, there should be enough GHL level players from Belgium, so you can at least have a chance in making national team. That would support national identity and motivate you to get friends from your country to play this game. That would be my idea at least. If there is not change like this and you want to start national teams now, you can in princple make 3 or 4 teams: Canada, USA, Europe... maybe West Europe and East Europe (although this naming would be incredibly unfortunate and could make a lot of people angry, especially those who were living in times of Soviet Union, but trying to be normal European democratic country now...). Those teams could have real managers based on some votes. I will try to suggest the rosters for Europe...

    S11 Trades

Beginning of next season, I would like to trade: N. Daugherty © - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=15016 94 OVR, he is old (36), but top center (by far) in this world. He can play literally any role and has Faceoff skill of 99. 2W contract! B. Andrushchenko (F) - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=15741 88 OVR, pretty good sniper or powerforward in good age (27), always performed very well (76+) in any role in my team (1st-3rd line). 1W contract. They all have ton of playoff experience. I'm looking for talented D that can start in AAHL and make it to the A team soon. I'm also looking for some 4th liner - enforcer or checking player - I guess I can find those in FA, but if the player is young and/or universal, it might have some value to me. Some teenagers or picks might do the trade as well.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying without luck I would be 8th, but this season is so far too perfect. I might do better than S7, when I had 150 points. And I know my team is not better compared to rest of the league now - maybe in experience, but skill-wise it is more even each season. That's why I'm not surprised by this: That is something I was expecting, but with me included with few points ahead.

Thanks. Yes, I regret some of the moves I did around S3. I hope some of those players will retire soon and new phase of my team begin. Honestly, I don't get this season. Yes, I was dominating the league for most of the time since S4, but I was also expecting this league to be more balanced this season. With Protons, Vandals, Minutemen in top places, but within few points from the rest of playoff teams. Thus, I'm quite shocked how my team is doing this season. 47 games and only 4 losses. My OT/SO was never very good (before this season I had more OT losses than wins) and now I have 7-0 for OT/SO. And yes, I have also very good season injury-wise so far. My team is great and I think my tactics works, but this is rather luck that might wear off (maybe already during playoffs) and next season will be already interesting as I don't know if I will be able to keep all my players and how I will solve the goalie situation in my team.

Haha, too many things done at the same time => injury. The report is only by 30s steps, but I thought the sequence is right - here it looks a bit odd, maybe it is just randomly written in the span of the 30s. I agree it is strange if they were able to play 60 games last season. I have some injury prone players that tends to have long term injuries almost every season, but I guess that cannot be explanation to all your injuries. Maybe bad luck or there are really more injuries in the game even I didn't notice anything in my team.

Maybe your team is full of injury prone players... are they named Letang or something like that?

It is not good to count AAHL injuries as those are "extra players" that would not play any games in previous seasons. I did not count my injuries, but I have a feeling I don't observe anything unusual. Maybe even my injuries are below average. I have hard training to all, but I never played harder than normal fairness (rather fair or safe). I have some AAHL injuries (quite a lot for below 10 assigned players), but I do not count them - the players get there very tired and normally I would not sign them or play them in A team.

    Biscuit Map

Btw, Paul - are the GHL towns and cities unique in US/Canada? Because I know that some names are quite often, for example Springfield is in many states (and TV series ).

    Biscuit Map

Awesome work, thanks! But I'm not sure that some managers even know, where their town is. West Chicago is easy, but some looks like they have been picked up only by name But very nice map anyway. I would be great to see also a map of counties from where the managers are.
  13. Interesting to see that numbers 2, 3, and 4 of the power ranking are currently out of the playoff spots. Although, to be honest, this can and will change very soon as the point differences are very small. I'm again impressed by Violet Volcano. They play amazing hockey despite the lack of superstars (90+ OVR players). But they already showed that last season and this one looks even better so far.

Prospects available: Immonen - EXC D 20yo 75 OVR (playing well, 78 PER, in Super Elite RUHL) - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=36761 Hrusik - GOO F 19yo 78 OVR - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=40181 Perestoronin - GOO F 20yo 74 OVR - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=36720 Prospect or pick in return. Other players also available, let me know if you are looking for something specific. I would be interested in obtaining higher picks for my picks (let's say 1st and 2nd GHL pick for better 1st GHL pick, or with help of prospects - 1st for 1st+prospect/player etc.).

To my previous ad, I would like to add following player: Dmitry Reshetnikov http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=36676 80 OVR 20yo signed prospect. Despite the fact that he was 3rd round GHL pick, he is pretty decent player that is still improving. He is good choice for reserve player in affiliate or maybe SHL player. I would keep him, but my depth at F is pretty good, so I should let some player go. Prospect (or affiliate player) at different position or pick will do the trade.

Oh, I see. Thanks. That must be quite rare... also might be connected to tiredness. I always keep my goalie out of the orange and red (as most of the GHL teams and thus I observed no goalie injuries).

Have you seen the minutes the play? My top assigned players have 22+ (25+ for D) TOI as they are on top line and top PP, maybe PK. And those minutes go mostly to youngsters with not so high endurance... so yeah, the are tired. The affiliate copy your team setting, but they are put to top line, so they play what your top line players do despite the fact that in your team, they will be on 3rd or 4th line.

    S11

Sure, I'm confident that training intensity plays role in injuries, maybe quite important one - on hard they will get more injured than on easy. High endurance and/or less TOI helps, I would guess. But that is all connected to being tired. And there are players more injury prone by nature. And of course there is luck, random factor in it. The question is, if the number of injuries, in average, changed with some of the upgrades recently or not. Goalies injuries - Are you sure? I know it was mentioned in the forums, that it is intended to be introduced, but I actually never saw it happening for real and I never saw goalie injured. Many teams signed 3rd goalie when it was first mentioned, but never used him. Now with the affiliates it would be better time to start the goalie injuries (you can call goalie from affiliate instead of having 3rd goalie who played 0 games in 5 seasons).

Maybe we can start a new thread and keep there statistic of the injuries. For example I have this season in my A team: 2, 5, 8 days and in AAHL: 2 days (to a tired player). My setting is Fair (usually) and Hard training for all. These are NOT unusual numbers for me. What I noticed is that my injuries come always in groups. All the 4 listed above was in 1 day all together (not happened in one day, but the effectiveness was crossed in one day for all of them). For example last season (or it was already the previous one?) I had quite a good year for injuries, but there was a time, when my complete first line was injured (not in one game, but they crossed at some point).
  20. I just received message about recovery in AAHL. Great! It is fixed already or right now you will get message about recovery, but not about injury?
  21. bouncer

    S11

I think the injuries are the same, but 11 games is not enough to judge.
  22. Also it would be nice to remove affiliation stats form TEAM LEADERS table. Does not make any sense to see somebody has 20 points player in AAHL before GHL league game.
  23. Hi, it would be nice to have notification about injuries/recoveries in affiliation teams. I just recall player form there just to realize he is injured, which I did not know about (also not for how many matches until I counted it). Since there is no IR, I'm sending injured 2W players from my A team to affiliate and I think I will not get message that they are healthy again. That would be great thing to add.

Don't you worry, we are at only 9/60. It will straighten and I predict you to have 20+ wins in a row in second half to end in top3 (I would assume 2nd).
  25. Welcome Paul and good luck. You nailed it with Def Leppards
