Looking for veteran forward in the last year of contract - high skilled player, reasonable traits, don't mind expensive contract. Can offer prospect(s) in return, or young defender. I would like to trade away one of my young right-handed defender - Bowker (20yo, 77 overall), Mamonov (22yo, 79 overall), Meldrum (26yo, 80 overall). In return I want: see above, prospect or pick.

Oh and I'm also listening to offers for Germund Stenlund (F), 85 overall very good offensive player (sniper of playmaker) - he was twice best scorer of the playoffs. I have rebuilt my top line last season and is no longer best fit and quite expensive backup for 3M per seaon

Is somebody looking for a defender? I have now 10 of them and that is too many with the salary demands now. I can trade: Bengtsson (89 overall), Mamonov (79 overall), Maksudov (87 overall), Meldrum (80 overall). I looking for prospect, pick or cheap other position player in return. Legendary goalie Bublik (94 overall) might be also for trade if I will get interesting goalie in return. Nice two-way center Luc Marsil (84 overall) - I'm also thinking about trading this one.

@rainsilent: >> The only reason I snapped at you in that other thread is because you were flaunting your success while trying to trade a few players. I shouldn't have snapped at you as there are better ways of talking to you about the flaunting and avoiding it. Yes, sorry. I should not have mentioned that.

@post94: Well, this thread is a really long one and people here do analyze CPU trades a lot, because they can easily give advantage in a very even league. I think CPU trades should be banned or very closely monitored - i.e. every trade with CPU team should be analyzed in my opinion and based on yours and some others comments in this thread, I think more people think so. That includes my trades in the past. I would be happy to continue without the exploiting trades I made. Right now I do not have the time to start over, that is why I continue playing despite I know I have some unfair advantage. I like some of my players a lot (and maybe surprisingly more the ones I obtained the clean way). As I already said this trade of yours is simply unfair - you are getting quality for quantity. Exactly what top GHL team needs. Period. I agree that despite being 111th pick, Hare is one of the better ones in the trade skill-wise, but his traits are bad (I wouldn't sign him just because of that and you wouldn't too - I know that you are even more into the traits of your players). And even skill-wise, he is NOT GHL player now and will probably never be. As a comparison to explain why I think those players are useless, I want to show you this one: Kristo Kivimäki (D) He is now FA. I had him in my team for a long time and I thought he is nice bottom pair DEF for GHL (he was good bench player for me) when I traded him, but in this season he did not played a single game in GHL despite being in 11th and 13th team (bottom 5). He has very good traits, he was 82 (81 now because he did played a single game this season), very good StayAtHome and only 25yo. I know that he is untalented, but he was able to improve 1 or 2 overall per season when he was playing. Performance: 74 overall in 215 GHL games. And he was signed for $940 000 per season. Still - apparently not a GHL defender. Hare is not improving very fast to be better than him in the next 5 seasons and thus Hare will not be a GHL defender - all the players are improving and you will get new players every draft that might be very talented and improving faster than Hare. Simply as that - and you know it. You just thrown 19yo prospects you did not wanted to sign anyway. And mentioning right-handed defenders - the 2nd on the draft is 79 overall right-handed defender with amazing traits, good talent and generally very valuable player for either GHL or SHL (I think Rhinos should have had ambitions to stay in GHL). I'm not saying that you should be banned or something - you made one CPU trade that you won. Somebody can reverse it or we can move on. But do not say here it is OK trade, it is not - you won and it was accepted only because the other side was CPU.

I know what I did and I'm not proud of it, but at least I'm not denying it (unlike some others) and since to you I'm the criminal mastermind I think I can be good at recognizing what is exploiting trade and what is not - I have the first hand experience after all :-) >> And the trade itself, yes I got lucky with the 2nd overall pick. This is NOT true - you got exactly what is fair - he was second SHL team is replacing 15th GHL team, 2nd overall pick is the most probable outcome. 5th would be very unlucky, 1st would be lucky, 2nd is just right. >> It's been two seasons in a row I got unlucky with my picks and got lower when expected. This is how it goes. Not related to the trade at all. >> The players in the trade are not bad at all and I gave 3 overall decent young players. They are 2nd/3rd round players in the first year. I already explained they are pretty bad GHL-wise. One was even 3rd round SHL pick... lol. And again, I would give you four 2nd and 3rd round picks from 1st year of the draft system for later draft top5 overall pick any day. Would you accept? >> Is the quality this year better then the first year? Absolutely! Is this my fault? I hardly think so. Don't make a fool from yourself. The players are not hidden, you can see them - you are not trading future picks from a draft that might be better or worse - we all know that the first year was the weakest because the players played less time in youth teams and it was hard to judge the talent from only 1 season played. I'm quite sure human team would not accept this trade. Is this your fault?

I'm not the one who should say this as I made even worst trades (and I'm sure you all will say it to me in pretty spicy way, as always), but honestly this is typical CPU abusing trade - quantity for quality. I must know as I'm the devil in here who prevents others to succeed in GHL. It was no gamble - you were getting 1st to 5th overall pick (it would have been 3rd last draft and 1st the one before), 2nd is pretty good, but generally there are very nice players in top5 positions of the draft. You gave 30th pick, generally good pick for SHL, but not much for GHL (and the team will be in GHL next season). If you compare the player on 30th position with the one on 2nd... well, it is very clear what you are trading here. The prospects are 19yo from the first year draft, when the player pool was generally much weaker. I'm sure you did not plan to sign them as no GHL team would - positions 44th, 74th and 111th in a weak draft, nothing good and when the skills are almost there, the traits are bad or the development is slow or basically none - if some of those players will play at least 50 GHL games, I will eat my hat. Human team would have also realized that following two seasons, so many similar players will become FA. I will send my 19yo prospects to FA and so will some other teams in GHL - usually much better players are available in FA at the beginning of the season, the players are aging slowly and thus 34yo player is better than untalented 19yo in so many ways. There are not so many 19yo prospects worthy of GHL and the others are practically worthless for GHL/top SHL team. Honestly, I would kill for the trade you made, but I'm trying to behave now I'm not the one who should moralize, but I appreciate if others don't lie to themselves and to others that everything is ok with their trades.
  8. I guess this is nearly impossible to say as you cannot have the same player in both your team and non-playable league and with the talent trait hidden, you cannot really say anything. I would guess that 3rd line in your team with hard training might be better, if he can play decent performances (i.e. close to 70 or more, not 65 and less). 4th line, it depends... if he is suitable for your style (energy for example), might be, but my 4th line has 10 % time and no PP/PK, so the 6 minutes TOI is quite small compared to 25 min TOI the player might get in non-playable league.
  9. Well, looks like the happiness is very important now. I can tell that in the few games my defender played, his performances went up significantly. Not enough games to tell for sure, by so far I would tell the difference between fells ignored and happy is like difference between players with 5-10 better overall (I know many other factors contribute, but to say at least something). That is huge.
  10. Is the game engine same for the non-playable leagues? Because I was going though stats of my 18yo prospects playing in Germany, Denmark, Russia... and they all (well, only 3) have been playing both PP and PK (about the same time) and they all have about the same number of PK points as PP points. That is simply insane. How can a guy have 4 points on PP in 2 min PP average and 5 points on PK with 1:30 PK average? I know that 9 point on special teams per season is not much, but still the PK numbers does not seem right.
  11. I understand it that the rights are till season 8 (it is said at the players page) - meaning you have to sign them before the last day od season 8 or they will become FA the first day of season 9. It make sense since the 21st birthday is between season 8 and 9. But be aware - you can sign players in non-playable leagues only during pre-season, including your prospects. That means the player under some contract from non-playable league is available to you only during pre-seson of season 8 and you have to sign him then or you will lose the rights after the season ends. If there is an exception, I don't know, probably good to ask managers form faster worlds, where they already passed the 3 season after first draft.
  12. Thanks Yann Its not about my happiness, but about the player happiness Hope he is happy with the money I have 4th defense (you have 5th) in the league, based on total GA, but I was hoping to be in top3 (and close to first, not 30 GA away) with all the skill I have in defense and goalkeeping. Minutemens and Vandals both have awesome defense and goalies, but I'm not that far away and I should be better than Grizzlies on paper, I think. Maybe I will switch tactics soon... Bublik is far from the dominant goalie he was 2 seasons ago, which is strange since I did not changed anything (both he and the defense corps improved by training, tactics is the same) - so I guess the forwards in the other teams improved faster

I know that the trade talks have been kind of dead lately in Biscuit and that not all of you wants to trade with me, but anyway, I will try it: - I'm looking for Commander/True leader with high Spirit - basically I want to get a real captain for my team. I think the leadership is low for my team and it might be the reason for bad results and way too many OT/SO losses. I would like to see also other character traits good enough, heroic would be really nice, but the leadership is most important. Skill-wise he needs to be GHL level in order to play regularly for my team (not really want to bench my captain, right) - but I do not care about position. In return I can give players, prospects, picks - this means we can talk.
  14. Ok, I signed him for new contract - I will report if I see any change I'm starting him in 3rd pair and in case good performance, I will move him up in my roster.
  15. Well, I believe there is an effect in performance if the player is unhappy/frustrated - it makes sense and I probably read about it, but I believed it was a small one, not effect that is pushing my top pair (and top PP) D-man into role of 7th defender (without injury I would sit him next game).
  16. How 'big' is the player happiness effect now? I remember it was fairly low back in the UAT1 days (back then I was trying to sign young players for 9+ years in order to keep the salary low even in their primes and it was working fine despite them feeling ignored in the transfer/contract page). But now, I have problem with one of my defenders that is feeling ignored... He signed 9 year, $1 550 000 per season (I think he actually asked for that long contract), contract extension 3 season ago and he is very talented and skill-wise one of my top defenders (and would be top pair defense for basically every team in GHL), but he is declining in performances and not marginally - he had 76 (season average) PER 2 and 3 seasons ago, playing high TOI, top PP unit etc. Last season he was 74 and this season he is 72 in PER and he has the worst +/- in my defense. Last two seasons he is not getting up the confidence, being now uncomfortable, while his pair-mates are in perfect confidence. Is this normal, should I re-sign him in order to be back in ~76 performances and high confidence (he would sign for $3 200 000 for 4 years - but it is twice as much and I will loose 2 years of his contract)? I'm not asking because I'm a cheapskate (well, I am a bit ), but I do not want to make this contract if it is not the main reason for him being worse (as I did not saw that strong correlation before and I had plenty of 'feels ignored' players)... but I do not see any other significant change that may have caused that - yes, i moved him to the bottom pair eventually, but only after his bad performances ruined my results.
  17. Thanks Scorevat, My both forwards that are playing D spot are Two-Way. And my defenders are Two-Way or StayAtHome as I do not have offensive def right now. But that should not matter and if so, it should help. So it might be tactics... I play my PP Umbrella as I was happy with the numbers for my PPG. There is a note "May lose control of puck if box play is aggressive". So I might think of going back to Spread (but I think I have allowed SHG back then also). It would be great if the two PP units can play different style of play, so I can check the outcome more easily.
  18. I allow quite a lot of SHG. I always did, even in UAT1, if I remember correctly. But this time it was too much for me, so I'm starting this thread to start some discussion and perhaps learn something. - this game in Biscuit http://www.gameplanhockey.com/game?gpid=156155 (if you cannot see, I lost 2-1, I'm 4th team and 2-times GC winner against 16th team, recently acquired after being computer for some time - 8 PP were played, they had 0/3 and I had 0/5. But both goals I allowed were SHG) Same thing happened 4 games ago! 1-2 lost after 2 SHG from bottom place team. SHG are my biggest problem and I do not understand why. Small statistics: in last 15 games I allowed 41 goals of which 8 were SHG and only 3 were PPG. 8/41 is almost 20%! I play quite a lot PP and score quite a lot PPG, but still, 20% goals I allow are SHG, that is unrealistic in every possible way. So, what is wrong? When I started to discovering how the game engine works, there were some hints that forwards playing on def position are ok for PP. I never liked idea of having no def in my PP, so I play both my PP units with 4 forwards and 1 def. My forwards are usually two-way or powerforwards and they do have quite some defending. The two I'm using on D spot in my PP units have: DEF 91, PHY 85, SKA 97 DEF 87, PHY 98, SKA 75 That is basically same as many defensemen have! Should I try play only defensemen on D position in PP unit? I can try, although I play a lot PP and my defense might be killed by the TOI... and I'm not sure if it will help, perhaps there is way too many SHG in general. What is your trick?

Young and talented center Hansson with 85 overall on the market: http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=3667 I want improve my defense, especially with right-handed player and/or I would like to get 1st/2nd draft pick. I have decent offer (although I had idea of getting even more in return) now on the table for quite some days and I'm ready to take it unless I will get a better offer in the next day.

Of course everyone is trying to win the deal and therefore the human deals are more complicated to find both sides benefits. And even harder if you exploited CPU trade as after that, it is complicated to find the balance again. But at least I'm trying. I know we talked about defender trade as I was looking for right handed def last season. I had few decent offers, but in the end I have decided to go with lefties and it was ok. But we might go back to that talks, I still would like to have another right handed def in my lineup. It was about Bengtsson, right? We can continue via PM.

rainsilent: If I'm correct I haven't asked you for your opinion. I stated here my trade preferences, which is the purpose of this thread. But obviously you are excluded to this. You could have PMed me this, but no you don't want to, so I don't want to PM you to start pointless discussion. I know what I did, I'm not proud about it (bur neither ashamed to stop going on forum or to stop playing) and I know I'm far from being the only one. Here, I actually want to make normal trades, but if nobody will want to because of my "trading history", that is ok, I guess. But maybe that is the reason why so many players are exploiting CPU/UoH trades - it is so hard to address transfer needs or even start talks about transfer as I see it now. Btw., this is Biscuit, but that was not the point of your post, I think. Mod edit: Please leave this outside the forum threads. Goes to both, bouncer and rainsilent alike. Consider yourselves warned. -jusatin

New season, new thread for trade talks. I have only Eliott Bouille on trade block, but I might be able to trade some of my defenders if you are interested (but not the top4). I'm also thinking about moving this world's top goalie: Artem Bublik. Winning pedigree! He is now 32yo, which in GPHM is still his prime. 92 overall, 3 golden cups (with 2 different teams), twice best GAA, twice most shutouts, once best %SV. Superstar. And decreasing contract situation - now only just over 5M. But I would like young talented goalie in return - one that has proven talent and is capable of playing GHL level at least as a backup. Plus some draft pick to even the trade, if necessary. I'm not in cap problems, so I do not have to rush this trade. There are some goalies I would like in return (Wax, Štulreiter, Kivinen, Eure), but mostly I cannot send offer as there is cap issue on the other side. So, if you read this, think about it. He is ready if you want a successful playoff run this season. In time, I might send PM if I decide I really want this change. If you ask for reason (why change best goalie in team that has 2 cups in a row?) - I like my team young and with cheap contracts. He is the most expensive player and second oldest. Apart from this, I'm looking fro enforcer for my 4th line - he needs to have cheap contract, big size and perform well for energy line. Good leadership is welcomed. Thanks and good luck in this season!

Anders, that actually sound really good - these votes and Moderators. I like the idea - that the Moderator will have the rights to revert a trade, but only if some number of users report this trade. That might work. In the game worlds like they are divided now, it will be impossible to build a game master group, it would have to be user with access to all the worlds to be a real game-master.

Yes, it is not possible that all the reports goes to Anders only, although he should have the final word, if it is not decided by the player board (I actually meant, that more than one vote to reverse the trade from those gamemasters will be needed). I have experience from football/soccer manager Hattrick, where in the peak, they had almost 1 milion active users and the development team was under 20 people, so it was not possible to manage the game, develop and take care of cheating, chat and conference abuse etc. They actually recruited a lot of managers from regular users = they did not paid them, only gave this special package, that was normally paid (a lot of useful tools and optical improvements, but no playing benefit). Over some time this group of GameMasters and Moderators evolved into some kind of nice group for each nation, working together, and if someone was quitting, they found replacement that was checked and required to be responsible etc. Senior international staff was keeping this national groups under watch so nobody from local gamemasters brake the rules. It was genius move since they got a lot of responsible users that are watching over the game, for free. And it mostly worked very well. The ban was meant to be for 1 week for example, after that you can return. If you cheat, you should loose your team. If you abuse the trade AI, you should have some punishment, ban for week is ok, but your suggestion also sounds good - but I'm not sure if it will be easy to implement ban for user for just trading.

First point - I understand that, but in that case he should have played the way to demote to SHL, if his team was not good for GHL. About exploiting "user on holiday" - yes, that has to be stopped. But on the other hand, the time for becoming "On Holiday" is long enough so the player should be able to avoid that if he is active enough. After 10 or 15 games not logging in the game, and without possibility of setting lineup for many matches in future and without any control how backup players replace injured ones, it is impossible to succeed in any league. I said active managers... Second point - yes, having some moderators/regulators would be fine. But for that Anders have to trust them, verify them (so they do not want to use this for their own benefit - for example agree to each other not to reject trades between themselves). And in game worlds with ~60 managers, I think it would be hard to find 4 that would like to do it and would have time to do that for a long time - because you might went into situation that all of them are not logging in anymore and it is again more work for Anders to solve it. For having some good game-masters (GM) or moderators, you would have to join all the worlds together or let such GM operating in all worlds. I can imagine maybe a better way - have a button to report suspicious trade by anyone and then Anders and few GM enrolled from enthusiastic players, like rainsilent, to have access on all worlds and solve these issues by simply reverting trades where they agree on cheating or exploiting the CPU/Trade meter. If user has 3 suspicious trades, he can be banned from the game for some time or completely etc.
