On the block: LENELL Dean - 20yo, 86 OVR, http://www.gameplanh...oalie?gpid=9819 Former 1st round GHL pick (ranked 10th overall). He can go for pick or young-ish affiliate skater. Many affiliate players also tradeable. Looking for GHL top6 forward, with high scoring. Also interested in future GHL starter goalie.
  5. Yes, I remember, Pingu... you offered like 400k more and he was always money first guy My rep. didn't get him signed with us again
  6. Yup, Bublik was insanely good... I acquired him by luck. He asked French Gulch Black Knights (after winning cup there in S2) insane money to resign, so he went to FA and I got him for much more reasonable salary... the salary got higher with each season and more cups, but we managed to afford him and he worked hard for every dollar. His number of shutouts is insane and he got us all 5 cups / so you can correct that he has 6 cups and he was in the GHL finals for 9 times including 7 in a row. But in S10 the salary demands started to increase again and our cap situation was too tight, so he went to FA once again. And we didn't win any cup since then.

GHL - Looking for left-handed top6 forward, preferably good sniper. Willing to offer many assets (older players, young talents, picks) from my team. Also interested in future GHL starter goalie. I want to trade away - some defender(s) from my affiliate, pick anyone but Fouquereau. Also want to trade away this goalie: LENELL Dean - 20yo, 85 OVR, http://www.gameplanhockey.com/goalie?gpid=9819 Former 1st round GHL pick (ranked 10th overall). Can include him for wanted players above or he can go for pick or young affiliate center with decent faceoff skill.

6.5M for a top defender is ok price. 10M is a bit too much, but the problem is that the teams can afford it. I have 7.5M under the cap for this season and that's a lot (as I'm second in power ranking and I have top goalie and top d-core)... there were times I was counting every penny under the cap (really, I was going offers by 5k, sometimes even less). Vandals are slightly tight in the cap, but they are stacked (best OVR) with many players in their prime age (when they are asking for highest salaries). I've been there But I was on vacation, so I didn't participated in the bidding. Maybe next season...
  9. They took my spot! Well done, Vandals. But I'm happy I'm not the oldest and not the second oldest either... that's a victory for me

Yep, Pohorelec and Honda with 91 OVR and only 36yo. Bublik was not loosing any skills at 40, but at that age, I would understand it. Muller was too young to retire. I think Boller and Hartig are losses to their teams as well.

Congrats indeed. Well deserved cup. I think we were underdogs (maybe for the first time in our final appearances), but we made it interesting.

Lol, I guess you have pretty ugly cousins Anyway, back to math class for you But I think that more interesting is the fact that 7 out of 11 last PO finals (including this season) were between Vandals and Protons and only one final (in S12) was without either Vandals or Protons (since S4 inclusive). For me, this is impressive and I guess for the rest of the league, this is very annoying Sorry about that.

Today Kaila stepped in, kind of like Holtby against Tampa. Hope he can make shutout also tomorrow

I don't want to make changes for this PO, but at the end the season or next season, I will be looking for: - GHL top line sniper, left-handed, any age, but high OVR and good history of goals scored and performances - physical, checking player for 3rd/4th line - young center with reasonable faceoff skill for my affiliate with some room for training - future no. 1 GHL goalie I can offer - pick(s), older players with great experience, young talented players (mostly from my affiliate). Untouchable list is not definitive, you can PM me some offer with untouchable players involved.

And in the end we managed to squeeze into 1st place. Incredible 4 teams scramble for 1st place. 5 games left and the leader is changing everyday.
  16. At least (if this is still valid), there is no penalization on lining center on wing And yes, the problem is that the training speed of faceoffs is correlated with number of faceoffs taken. That makes sense, sure, but it should be faster in juniors and affiliates, because if other skills are trained faster, you will end up with the player I have 91 OVR, all the skills 89+ and 80 Faceoff - you cannot leave such player in affiliate so he can take loads of faceoff, you put him on your team, but if he takes a lot of faceoffs, he will loose a lot of them and your puck possession and chances will decrease.
  17. I'm basically rotation all training focuses, but he received a lot of general for sure. That is true Jiihee only in limited way. Until very recently it very easy to train players to 95+ OVR (which means many 99 skills) if you started in good age with enough talent. And it looked like Faceoff is either one of the slowest to train or players get lower Faceoff then other skills at beginning (or both). I'm not saying it is a bad thing and it is the same for everyone, but it is a bit frustrating and if the player has really bad faceoff compared to other skills, he should not be listed as center.
  18. It was probably already mentioned here, but it would be great to tweak training of faceoffs skill for centers. I have 21yo center, who is 91 OVR and he has Faceoffs skill of 80, which is by 9 the lowest skill he has. I understand there might be centers not good at Faceoffs, but with this large margin there is only one name for them - wingers! He is taking plenty of faceoffs and still he train all the other skills faster. At 21yo, he gets like 1 Faceoff skillup per season, so he will never be 99, perhaps not even 90, while he will be otherwise top player. And it is similar for many other young centers I have or I saw out there. There are few great faceoff takers, usually very high on draft, but that's like 2 players per draft.
  19. When I was writing that today, I realized and wanted to mention Hawks is underperforming so far this season - in points, PPP, avg. performance. But he pulled 2 G night with one PPG, his PP unit scored twice and he had 81 performance. I'm so happy I got him to my team by default. And he is still good to have 3 more seasons I hope
  20. I have Hawks, who is with my since I got my team at start of S1. Still top defender in the world. Huge number of played games. http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=4229

I have probably too many defenders in my affiliate, so I can let go one or two - they are all young (18-24 yo), decent OVR (80-84) and nice low contracts. Suitable for SHL or GHL affiliate. Send me a message or offer. Fouquereau is not on the table. In return I prefer pick or young(-ish) center for my affiliate.
  22. Pretty cool, Erzac. I have the oldest team, as expected, but it is not that bad Anyway, the average OVR will be still increasing... especially with draft that offers 90+ players.
  23. Oh sh..., now there are 9 teams above 90 OVR... I remember S12 (not so long ago, right?), when I was the only one. This is going so fast we will soon have a full 90+ roster (I need just 4 F and 1 C to achieve that and surprisingly after long time I have no problems with cap space anymore, so it is doable - not that I want or will do that, but possible).

I wouldn't say shocking... I think so many cup finals in a row were more shocking. GHL is getting more even every day and usually up to 14 teams can easily go for the cup (maybe 16, but the last two teams are usually for some reason point-wise far away) - yes, they have to make to the PO first, but look at Marauders... two times champion and now 12th without any significant changes to their team. And it's not that surprising - they were only 6 points form the PO and even in the 2 cup seasons, they were in the regular season group that does fight for the PO until the end of the season. With 6 extra points they would be one the cup favorites again.

Well, we did last season... in GHL history this is our worst result... two times in a row ending in PO round 1 (Playoff 2). Last time before that it was S2, which was our first in GHL.
