    Join the Discord!

There's plenty of managers here who totally need to join the discord server. Having that community of managers adds so much to the game so come over and join the fun. Discuss your team, other teams and anything else.

This has become my favorite website

I also like to play college football sims since the console games are no more

    Afternoon folks!

HI! I'm The Sports Goth (It's a long story and involves eyeliner and Falcons shirt) I'm a longtime GM style game player... my first game was Football Manager. Not the modern Football Manager. The original on the ZX Spectrum! Looking forward to sharing ideas with the denizens of this forum!

It depends what you want as a foundation. Cards have a QB to build around and a great #1, so you have a starting point. Jets are probably a bigger challenge. Cards have a trickier division.

Cards are too easy. Jets is the biggest project.

    Detailed GM Games to Recommend?

I've seen it a lot already but OOTP and Football Manager are both really great. Probably the two most in depth.

I would personally take the Cardinals--they have a better foundation. I think the Jets would be the bigger challenge, so depends on what you're looking for.

Fun topic! I started with board games, though as a '90s kid, this was moreso a matter that it was what my Dad shared and played with me. Specifically, that meant All-Star Baseball (I saw someone else here had played that, too!), and Bowl Bound College Football (the old board game). Played a lot of sports video games as a kid and teen, and then got more into the sports sim world in college by searching online for Bowl Bowl College Football (the old board game) and stumbling across Bowl Bound College Football (the more modern Grey Dog sim game). Played in some leagues, and also played and ran a soccer league using the freeware ESMS+ software. Not a lot of time to play anymore, but I like trying to develop stuff, and I'm hoping that as my young son gets older, I can do a 3rd generation of All-Star Baseball with him.
