  1. Hi

     

    What skills/ratings that are included in the different training types depends on what tactics your team is using at the moment. In short you can say that offensive training will train your players to create and finish scoring chances on your current tactic. Defensive training will train them to defend using your current tactic. General training will combine the both types.

     

    Take the Physical rating as one example, it will be trained when choosing offensive training if you are using Crash the net tactics. But not if you're using Puck Possession.

     

    Hope that answers your question in some way at least.

     

    We're also looking to include an update regarding the player training in one of the upcoming releases (perhaps after the summer, no promises though). The update will include the possibility to be more specific on what skills/ratings to train for a specific player.


  2. This may be an issue where the team is set on very offensive or very defensive for almost every game played. The team confidence is actual more than one value behind the scenes, and only an aggregated value is displayed on the team page. So in some rare cases this may happen where some the team confidence for offensive duties are very good the defensive confidence value could be very low since the team are ignoring defensive duties.

     

    However, this is something I've been wanting to rework for quite some time and hopefully I can include this within a patch or two.

  3. Other than the reworked player potentials there have been changes to how fast players will decline. Players will now peak around the age 28 and depending on their potentials they will start to decline after the age of 30. This was changed to reflect the NHL today where very few 35+ players are still active in the league.

     

    But the reworked player potentials may also have impacted how fast players develop. I am monitoring this carefully and I do see that players may in some cases develop too fast as juniors to then slow down more than expected. I will make some small adjustments for the next patch.

  4. Found what's causing this problem. You actually do have the messages for these events but they are hiding on page 2 and below. This is caused by certain messages being ruled as more important than others and will pin themselves on every page. For example the Youth draft announcements. This is a bug and I will fix this as soon as possible.


  5. I was curious if that was the case. @ Anders or Glawing: is that something we should expect to see moving forward? If we evaluate a prospect for the draft and they look to develop well, will they have a chance to digress out of the gate?

     

     

    The prospects that have been assigned to the current teams have been generated in a slightly different way than we expect to see in the upcoming youth draft (this have actually been changed for future game world creation). This means that there may be a few too good prospects (in overall but not in potential) in the lower leagues today.

     

    But there is always the chance to find a prospect with good potential for the lower leagues that will develop to be too good for the team (if the team isn't promoting that is).


  6. I totally agree. The reason for these stealth patches is that I never felt quite finished with the release. I began to work on the first hotfix the minute after releasing 2.0 March 1st. And then came hotfix 2 and then 3... I thought I'd wait to announce the release in the change log until I had a clean and stable v2.0. But that's just stupid. The release has now been announced in the change log and all updates from now on will be announced in more fashionable manner.

  7. A first reminder will now be sent to your inbox approx a week (in game time) before transfer deadline, a second reminder half a week before and also a reminder before the transfer window being opened again.

     

    Transfer deadline and opening are also displayed on the league schedule.

  8. Just to confirm, we have now made a change so new free agents will only be generated during pre season. And as was already the case, only if there’s a very low number of available free agents.

     

    The reason for generating new free agents in the first place was to let the system calibrate itself and generate new players as long as there was need for them. But I realize this caused more trouble than good.

  9. Yeah, it was fixed about 1 day after I made this topic. Although I liked the chat window inside the page like it was in the old version, not the pop-up window now. But that is probably just my feeling. 

     

     

    I agree with you. But this was because a technical limitation. The chat window is running 'http' when the game is now running on 'https' (secured). That means that the website can not host unsecured content any longer. Will see if we can make a smoother integration further down the road.
