I'm going to start trying to implement the game world forums and chat rooms into the game tomorrow. Hopefully I can have update ready at the end of the week. An inbox message announcement is a good idea. Thanks. -

At the moment there are five active game worlds; Biscuit, Clapper, Duster, Fishbowl and Gino. Creating a section per game world might actually be a good idea. I also would like to investigate the possibility of automatically creating a GM Games account when signing up for the game. I think that would make more people join the community. -

What kind of community features would be the most important ones to have in game? As a complement to this forum? -
I've been thinking a lot of this too. Basically that's why there is a trade balance that must be valued fair before submitting the trade offer. I know that it's not 100% bullet proof since it can't be designed to be to strict. Then it probably would be way to hard to even create an offer. But you have a good point, specially when a new game world is created. Any more ideas out there?

Moved this to Suggestions just like you said. I agree with you that it's hard to make trades without the possibility of communicating with each other. I actually had an idea to include personal messages in the trades release but didn't find the time. I'll do my best to include this as soon as possible. I understand that it's important with a good community in game. What features do you think is most important? -
I agree with what you're saying. And I'll have this in mind for upcoming releases where I'm also thinking of implementing restricted/unrestricted free agents. As of now you always have the possibility to sign your players back even if you risk some competition =)

Trades feature [Included v1.2.0-beta]
GamePlanHockey replied to GamePlanHockey's topic in Suggestions
Mostly bug fixes and improvements. A new contract term is introduced called "Lower league contract" which is a contract of a player that have been promoted to a higher league without a promotion contract clause. This contract will be without penalty if releasing that player. There was also some updates regarding stat league leaders when a player played for multiple teams same season. All will be explained in detail once released on beta -

The first release candidate of trades feature has now been released to UAT. If everything goes well it will be installed on beta later this week. Fingers crossed. -

The release of trades to beta is coming soon. Probably next week. A heads up. The release contains an adjustment of the salary cap penalty rule when releasing players. Half the salary will then be locked for the remainder of the player's contract. So if you have any unwanted players now is the time to release them! ;-) -
Agree with you all. Let me think about the best way to make this happen.

Some things took longer to develop than I thought. But it's starting to come together now. I'm hoping to release an unfinished (but tradable) draft to UAT next week. -

Assistant manager To make trades easier the assistant manager will give you notes on both which players that might be interesting for you to target but also if he thinks that a trade offer is good or bad. Salary cap The trading UI will also display both teams salary cap situation. -

After the latest update (1.1.8) trades are now top priority. A release to UAT at the end of the month doesn't sound impossible. -

Trading UI Here's a sneak preview from an unfinished trading UI. -
Ah ok, in your case they will become FA before you have more salary space I'm afraid
-
Not sure I totally understand. There is a message sent to your inbox at the end of the season, before the playoffs, that remind you of outgoing contracts on your team. Players will become FA at the very last day of the season. Don't know if this answered your questions?
-
Yes you can assign a forward to a d-spot in powerplay without any negative effect. The tactics in PK actually sees the LW as any winger depending on which tactic you are using. It's only the lineup UI that displays the spot as a LW.
