I've just read your thread. It is difficult to move up thru playoffs without a great goalie.

I don't mind the current format, but it is difficult to move up thru playoffs. How would it be if 15-16 auto relegate, 13-14 play to see who gets to stay in current league and loser plays loser of promotion playoffs. And for promotion 1-2 auto promote, 3-6 play for auto promotion with loser of finals playing loser of relegation playoffs it will give one team 2 chances of promoting. This format will guarantee 3 teams get promoted with the possibility of 4 promoting and will extend playoffs a bit also.

You still have 2/3 of the season left. You can make it out of the relegation zone with a possibility of playoffs. Goalies are the most important piece to a good team. If you can sign a 80 overall goalie you'll be good.

I've already reported him and PM'd Anders to look into it. It would be helpful if "Fred Jamison" could be found in other game worlds/teams. It's really looking like it will be a tough season, not much separation between teams

Anyone wanna look into this trade? Looks like "Fred Jamison" made the trade then resigned right after. The trade was made in BHL Day 19 between Chattanooga Cherokees & Fort Pierce Bears. Fred Jamison and Fred Lindholm could possibly be the same person. Don't want this to end up like the Jon Cooper/Frank Smith situation that happened in Lumber.

I've been trying to figure this one out since I joined GPHM. I just ignore it now since I've seen teams still dominate with players with no face off skills at all

I'd rather teams get punished by cutting their high salary players, and they'll have no choice but to be stuck with that cap hit for a couple seasons.

From what I can tell, there isn't anything that'll force teams to drop players. I know there's a few teams over the cap in Lumber. I wish there was a way to forced dropping players from their teams like other games. I know some gm games the highest paid players will be released first till your under the cap.

The Greyhounds have clinched IHL 1st place and will be promoted to the BHL. It has been a phenomenal season with several players having a great year, especially in the +/- category with 10 players in the top 20 with a few more not far behind. Still a battle for 2nd place between 3 teams (Guardians, Masons & Lumberjacks) separated by a mere 2pts, and the Golden Gophers with a slim chance at it. The Venom & Chieftains are battling it out for that final promotion playoff spot.

So we're 2/3 thru the season. Are you where you wanna be? Are you gonna make a push for a promotion/playoff spot? My team the Greyhounds are in a comfortable position being up 20pts on 2nd place. 11 more wins and it's pretty much a lock for promotion.

Wish there was a way to not have so much 90+ players on teams. Seriously 16 players on one team with those kinda overalls

I am just hoping for a playoff spot, team isnt really how I want it yet. New tactics, new players... It'll take time.

It's my 3rd season with this team. My players have finally developed enough to be competitive. I am a bit disappointed with Tsvetkov as I expected him to be a top 6 winger but had to trade for Paul to solidify my top 6.

So we're nearly 1/3 through the season. How is your team doing, are they meeting/failing expectations? How do you expect rest of the season to go?

Don't know if it's "hush-hush" kinda info. It's just so random this game. Hard to predict

For Offensive/General/Defensive, it depends eg.: Snipers, Playmakers, Powerforwards, Offensive Dman= Offensive training. grinders & stay at home dman= Defensive training enforcers, two-way forwards & dman, I mix between offensive and defensive. Haven't really used general at all except maybe on scratched prospects on the team with no dominating ratings.
