If a player gets injured and you double shift a player for them next game, will the system still sign another player for you?

I like the idea of holding a prospect's rights for 3 seasons. But sometimes prospects don't want to sign after their last year of eligibility. Maybe introducing RFA contracts would help get those prospects on the team even if it's only for 1 season.

Heroic and determined mixed in with some stable players and playing them will raise the winner instinct. From what i can tell, it doesn't rise right away. It has to be built up thru playing the games too.

There are so many injuries. It doesn't seem to matter if they have high endurance, 4th line minutes or training on easy, players still get injured at high frequency and for long periods. I don't think we need IR unless season ending injuries are gonna be introduced. I think adding a durability rating would be better to allow us to see who is injury prone and also lessening the length of injuries to maybe 1-5 days and not 30+ days.

Okay. What if you don't have the cap space to add an extra?

What happens if you dont have extra players to replace injured ones? I noticed some teams dont have extras and they never seem to deal with injuries

So agitator and tough are the traits to look for

I understand what types of players go with scoring and 2-way lines but can't figure out checking and energy lines yet. Would the checking line be your best defensive line that can hit and the energy line be with high physical and spirit players?

I think just increasing player salaries would be better to have a competitive level. And if managers can't manage their cap it'll be the difference between icing a good team or a team of 50-60ovr players on your 3rd-4th lines.

A 95ovr player who is a 3rd liner?! As it is right now in the GHL... It's a bunch of 90s+ players playing against other 90s+ players, where luck plays more into winning games. Maybe decreasing the salary cap or increasing player salaries would make the GHL more competitive because you'd have to think of how your gonna build your team and have actual role players. Even in NHL games you really only have like 2-4 90ovr players.

Limited roster spots and moving the trade deadline to an earlier date. Let's say no trading after game 40. It'll be like the NHL if they wanna make a push for playoffs.

Maybe increasing player salaries or lowering salary cap would help get more range. It'd make it more realistic by having only a few 90s rated players and bring out the importance of "role" players.

Is it just me or is there an absurd amount of SHGs? How would one limit them? Would I be better off putting my best defensive defensemen on my PP?

I have noticed alot of players trading so much, especially stocking up on draft picks. Why not implement salary retention working the same way as releasing a player. It'll force managers to actually budget their caps instead of always trading away high salary players for a bag of pucks(draft picks).

Great idea. I would do 32 teams though split into 4 divisions, within 2 conferences. 28 division games + 16 Conference games + 16 Inter-conference games = 60 games. And shuffle the teams in each division and conference so we're not playing the same teams over and over after every season. ei. put high ranking teams into one division/ conference and lower ranked teams into another division/ conference. Maybe it would create balance

Hey everyone, just joined a few days ago. Took over LIHL team North Shore Dragons, renamed to Medicine Hat Warriors. So far 0-3, with my team 2pts out of a playoff spot. Not really caring for this season though. This team has potential to compete next season with some promising prospects that'll round out my top 6 & bottom 6, and build off of the 3rd ranked PK.
