It happens. Offer the contract again. When this happened to me the player took the contract the second time I offered it.

We all know a red oval on the roster is an injured player, instead of putting INJ in the field, why not put the expected length of injury there.  Currently we have to go to the plyer page and then the form tab.
 
A delete all messages in team and manager would be helpful as well.

I've been struggling with the same decisions. I actually put my backup in for game 55 and the simulation ran so late I couldn't change back before I went to sleep. I ended up losing game 56 because he couldn't handle two games in a row. So, no more changes for me!!

+1 to this crazy season in BHL!!
 
My mouth has been agape over the last 20, 30, 40 games or so! I said it earlier in this thread even, this is a horse race... f'n crazy
 
I'm afraid of making any changes to the roster etc so that I don't upset anything lol

Would it be possible to add a shootout lineup option into the mix?

It would be nice to get a quick message or pm sent to my inbox when either I or my trading partner submits a new offer just so that I can remember what has already been offered and what hasn't been offered. Sure I could just write it down, but I'm lazy and I know others are as well.

Yes, but not everyone wants to break out the hand calculator and do the math. I mean if this will save 30s per player when a person is checking out a bunch of different possibilities, why not have it? Plus it's not uncommon for people to guess the promotion salary and then massively underestimate the reality. 

There seems to be a great separation between perceived stats/ratings and what the actual player can do. I can't tell you how many goalies I've dismissed or invested into based solely off their OVR rating and initial performance out of the Junior leagues. It's all hogwash with goalies! I have a 76 OVR goalie who is killing it compared to my other higher ranked goalie in the GHL...why? Who knows - but I think it's a hidden factor that tends to make some goalies hot and cold depending on certain factors. Overall, I'm now attempting to dig for those X-factor players rather than just selecting based off of ratings.

Yann Rock- interesting comments. I've read a lot of complaints that there were too many great goaltenders available in the drafts. To those of us working our way up from the bottom that always sounded like rich man problems, since it is very hard to find a quality goalie in the lower ranks. I'm sorry it's an issue for you but it's comforting to hear that teams higher up have some similiar struggles!

I was wondering if the game could show whether a manager is active outside of just to team->team info or trading section. My idea would be to show an orange dot in the standings rather for vacationing managers rather than the blue dot. It would be a minor change, however, it would save people 2 seconds.

Right. I thought the point of this form was to suggest things that would improve the game. In my opinion, putting in a feature that stops me from having to keep a note book of trade offers would improve the game and my gaming experience.

Here an answer from one of those two SHL top teams that Steve refered to.  I manage Collegeville Rhinos.
 
I started to play in this world a 1 season and half ago in BHL.  I started with one of those awful teams that as been managed by the computer for a while.  By the way, I don't think a new manager will ever get a competitive team right away because it either has been managed by the computer (so not competitive) or by a manager that left the team (so not competitive).  But this is another issue. 
 
So I started with a crappy team.  I made a lot of trades with computer and signed some free agents.  I wasn't always fair with the way I used free agents to make trades.  My apoligies if I ruined anyone experience.  But, computer team trading is a whole different thing.  Computer trade isn't cheating and everyone has the exact same opportunity to trade with computer teams.  This system isn't perfect but it's the same system for everyone.  But, again, this is another issue.
 
My point is that what's really keeping new players from joining this game isn't computer trading.  What's keeping new players from joining this game is the huge edge teams from GHL have on any other teams in this world because they get the best prospects (first two rounds so best 30 prospects every season) and the best free agents seasons after seasons.  And this edge gets bigger and bigger.  They get the best propects, keep the best players in their teams and sign the best free agents.  How will I ever compete with a team like, for an example, the Deadwood Vandals, that have been playing in GHL for 7 seasons? 
 
Steve is right: what is the real worth of a 1st pick in SHL.  72-74 overall rating with average traits if you are lucky.  And I don't even botter about lower leagues drafts.
 
Let's have a look to those chances.  If (this is a big IF) I finish first in SHL this season,  I will have one of the top 4 prospects in the next draft.  For an example, a 80 overall goalie with good traits.  Right now, my best player is 86 overall, and a 85 goalie, I have a few 81-83 and mostly 80 overall players.  If I'm lucky, I might sign 1 or 2 players over 85 overall, a few 83-85 as free agents.  How will I compete with the top 4 GHL teams?  And that is with a lot of computer trading.
 
So my point is if a new manager doesn't make computer trades, he will never compete with the top teams in this world.  And time won't help because the edge just gets bigger and bigger.  
 
So is computer trading is a problem or the answer to a bigger problem?   

Is that "old help system" still available somewhere? It would really help to have a proper (aka detailed, official and one) help document
