I used to have a lot of injuries as well, then I started looking at the game reports, and almost always players that got injured were feeling tired in games prior to the injury. Since that I have been keeping almost all of my players training at easy if they ever feel tired and have seen a lot less injuries. Not sure if this actually has anything to do with the injuries, but it helps me to keep my mind cool.
 
And on S11 topic, the downfall has started and it seems like the first few wins of the season were just good luck. Time to start doing some changes to keep getting some points and not get relegated.

Clearly you didn't need him to beat me last night!  ha!  No worries.  I too thought it was odd, so glad I didn't add to the mistake.  

I want to thank Senet for understanding the situation and immediately withdrawing his offer as well!

I accidentally resigned my top prospect Samuel Dobrik who I drafted 4th overall in the last draft.
 
I would really much appreciate if you didn't try to sign him, as him being in the free agency is the result of be being clumsy and trying to do things too fast while on mobile. I tried to recall him to my team to change the affiliate team he's in, but instead chose to resign him, thus making him available for all to sign.
 
So I kindly ask that you do not offer him a contract, as a mark of good sportsmanship, and if you have offered him a contract that you would take your offer back.

Makes sense, that's unlucky. I'm not offering him a contract as I would expect the same if it happened to me. Don't do anything you could get back to you, I would say. Unfortunately there is already 1 manager that offered him a contract. I'm not surprised though...

I like the idea of max contracts over waivers, but the max number should be a lot higher. I like to have multiple players just for injury backup, and then I really want to have all of my prospects (that have any change to develop well) under contract as well since computers don't train them on "hard".

Notice the /s for sarcasm at the end of the first sentence did not try to be rude but to make a joke. I agree there are bigger problems but that's one that should be quite easily "fixed".
 
But yeah, players getting injured in pre-season should be a very rare occasion if it does happen. At current state they just are not worth playing for me at least. Too much risk, too little reward.

Sucks that overpaying is the way to go. But to leave that aside, the FA pool this year seems super weak. I don't think I will stand any chance in the upcoming season without any proper centers or defenders. Hopefully I'm wrong and can figure something out, but at the moment it seems like 1 season trip to GHL, keep my young guns and hopefully dominate SHL again next season.
 
@Steve yeah that's a steep contract but I had no choice after losing the betting contest on Mirault, Senet and Flores.. Had to get someone in my team.
 
Looking forward to this season nevertheless and will try to do my best to not get relegated.

Like I said, this will settle over time and eventually every other league will reap the same benefits. This is just the beginning and people are already looking to nerf one of the best features this game has.
 
I have never said something about keeping their GHL place. My point was that people in GHL have usually been in the game for a long time and some of them have been struggling as well. So it doesn't mean that you have to change something for the good of the lower leagues. This should not be a walk in the park for any league or manager. Give it some time before trying to change something.

Happy to see Miners and Breakouts back in GHL.  Expect it to be another very competitive season!  
 
Justina - BTW, Faneuf wanted that same contract with me last season, but I couldn't see keeping him on my team until he is 39.  ;-)

When I signed in it was simulating. I refreshed it a few minutes later and it was back on the game clock. The day never switched over but I never noticed. Just a little too excited to get the season going.

The problem I see with this is that you can just "replace" players you don't want in your team if they get injured and then don't have to pay their salary for the rest of the season. Preparing for injuries should be a normal precaution when building your team, so having 1-2 extra players per spot signed to step in if needed. The same way it's done in NHL currently.

I don't really agree with this. What happens when the player gets back from injury if you have signed a new player during that time and you would be over the cap?

Honestly, it sucks losing young players, but I don't think RFA's should be a thing in this game. It's already easy for good teams to build a big pool of prospects and the new affiliate teams will help in developing these prospects into really good players. Adding RFA's into the mix would let the big teams hoard the best players at supposedly cheaper prices (where else can they go as an RFA?) and make it nearly impossible for newcomers to a higher division. It's already a small problem for the oldest worlds. No RFA's make it so that teams are forced to let go of some talent for salary reasons which allows for talent to be spread out and overall give everybody a chance at becoming a good team faster.
 
It's a good idea, but I just don't think it would work very well in the both the top and bottom tiers.
 
As for your second post, I think it's interesting. I think the way the system currently works is that players are more willing to sign with a team with more reputation. I don't think a managers reputation really matters. Maybe a team getting a new manager could change that team's reputation to be something like "Fresh management" and give the reputation equal status to "Legendary" in a league. Then it would expire after a couple in-game days. I doubt it would give any major advantage that encourages cheating, but it would give that new manager that player that is slightly better and might be able to change a teams fortune.
