  1. Btw, Paul - are the GHL towns and cities unique in US/Canada? Because I know that some names are quite often, for example Springfield is in many states (and TV series :D).

  2. Awesome work, thanks! But I'm not sure that some managers even know, where their town is. West Chicago is easy, but some looks like they have been picked up only by name :) But very nice map anyway.

I would be great to see also a map of counties from where the managers are.

  3. Interesting to see that numbers 2, 3, and 4 of the power ranking are currently out of the playoff spots. Although, to be honest, this can and will change very soon as the point differences are very small.

I'm again impressed by Violet Volcano. They play amazing hockey despite the lack of superstars (90+ OVR players). But they already showed that last season and this one looks even better so far.

  4. Prospects available:

    Immonen - EXC D 20yo 75 OVR (playing well, 78 PER, in Super Elite RUHL) - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=36761

    Hrusik - GOO F 19yo 78 OVR - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=40181

    Perestoronin - GOO F 20yo 74 OVR - http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=36720

    Prospect or pick in return.

Other players also available, let me know if you are looking for something specific.

I would be interested in obtaining higher picks for my picks (let's say 1st and 2nd GHL pick for better 1st GHL pick, or with help of prospects - 1st for 1st+prospect/player etc.).

  5. To my previous ad, I would like to add following player:

    Dmitry Reshetnikov http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=36676

80 OVR 20yo signed prospect. Despite the fact that he was 3rd round GHL pick, he is pretty decent player that is still improving. He is good choice for reserve player in affiliate or maybe SHL player. I would keep him, but my depth at F is pretty good, so I should let some player go.

Prospect (or affiliate player) at different position or pick will do the trade.

  6. Oh, I see. Thanks. That must be quite rare... also might be connected to tiredness. I always keep my goalie out of the orange and red (as most of the GHL teams and thus I observed no goalie injuries).

  7. Have you seen the minutes the play? My top assigned players have 22+ (25+ for D) TOI as they are on top line and top PP, maybe PK. And those minutes go mostly to youngsters with not so high endurance... so yeah, the are tired. The affiliate copy your team setting, but they are put to top line, so they play what your top line players do despite the fact that in your team, they will be on 3rd or 4th line.

  8. Sure, I'm confident that training intensity plays role in injuries, maybe quite important one - on hard they will get more injured than on easy. High endurance and/or less TOI helps, I would guess. But that is all connected to being tired. And there are players more injury prone by nature.

And of course there is luck, random factor in it.

The question is, if the number of injuries, in average, changed with some of the upgrades recently or not.

Goalies injuries - Are you sure? I know it was mentioned in the forums, that it is intended to be introduced, but I actually never saw it happening for real and I never saw goalie injured. Many teams signed 3rd goalie when it was first mentioned, but never used him. Now with the affiliates it would be better time to start the goalie injuries (you can call goalie from affiliate instead of having 3rd goalie who played 0 games in 5 seasons).

  9. Maybe we can start a new thread and keep there statistic of the injuries.

For example I have this season in my A team: 2, 5, 8 days and in AAHL: 2 days (to a tired player). My setting is Fair (usually) and Hard training for all.

These are NOT unusual numbers for me.

What I noticed is that my injuries come always in groups. All the 4 listed above was in 1 day all together (not happened in one day, but the effectiveness was crossed in one day for all of them). For example last season (or it was already the previous one?) I had quite a good year for injuries, but there was a time, when my complete first line was injured (not in one game, but they crossed at some point).

  10. Hi, it would be nice to have notification about injuries/recoveries in affiliation teams. I just recall player form there just to realize he is injured, which I did not know about (also not for how many matches until I counted it). Since there is no IR, I'm sending injured 2W players from my A team to affiliate and I think I will not get message that they are healthy again. That would be great thing to add.

  11. Don't you worry, we are at only 9/60. It will straighten and I predict you to have 20+ wins in a row in second half to end in top3 (I would assume 2nd).

  12. EXXEO - this team has long history of CPU team bullying real managers (I recall season when it was in good GHL playoff spot as CPU managed team), but most of its power comes from Nicolas Senet, who made some good trades and some shady trades (ended up being banned), he tried to take the team again, but after relegation he swapped for a stronger GHL team. Don't worry, I think somebody will rape the team again to take away all the good guys :)

  13. I noticed yesterday that the affiliates (AAHL) play games slightly before my league (GHL). It looked like it should be possible to transfer players between the two teams to have 2 games per day. What would that mean? More training, more fatigue or just the last game counts?

  14. HurjaHerra - that actually might happen ;) At least I consider first 7 teams as playoff teams, maybe not in the same order, but close to it. Then Violet Volcano should be in, although Senet's back with the ex-Moapa Valley team, which should be really dangerous combination.

  15. I checked the 16 goalies in GHL in action in game 1 of the season and... we are getting pretty old. Like King Henrik would be here just fine...

The average age is 30.5, but median is 31.5 and 9 goalies are 30 or older. 34 is the most frequent age. One goalie was 18 and one was 21 (they were the reason for not so high average). 38 is the oldest goalie in action (I won!).

  16. I have currently on my tradeblock following players:

    MATISS Mcfarland http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=32969

    MARTIN JUNIOR Chapais http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=3571

    ANDRAI Hentges http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=3537

    BORYS Andrushchenko http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=15741

    LORIK Oneal http://www.gameplanhockey.com/goalie?gpid=5550

    Many prospects are also available.

Might be also interested in trading ILYES Devera http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=4143

Looking for goalie, preferably young that is developing. Otherwise I can take bottom liner in return, reserve player or pick/prospect.

  17. This will my first season without Bublik (besides the beginnings). Let's see if he was behind the success. Greedy bastard smiley.gif

Good luck to Thetford Mines Pegasus, use him well. He is golden cup pedigree... better than MAF :)

  18. Anyone interested in trading prospects and picks? I'm not so much interested in trading signed players (I do not want any, maybe only move Hentges http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=3537), but most of my prospects are not fit for my my plans, so I can move them for very reasonable return (meaning, if I like it, I can loose the trade meter)  - for other prospects or picks. Multiple assets trading possible.
