I'm getting at when you have a player getting 6 minutes in your affiliate while some bum is getting 20 minutes a game.  Your prospect's growth is either going to be really slow, or they are going to have a lower ceiling than what they should with no growth at all.  When I got promoted to the GHL I had a bunch of 2way deals that I buried in the minors.  Since I had something like 15 forwards, 3 of them were always sitting.  That happened to be my prospects.  They weren't even that bad players either.  2 of them were 77 overall at 20 years old, and because of my older players getting playing time over them, they had no growth at all in any aspect of their game that season.

So I was wondering if, in the future, it would be possible for us to manage our affiliate teams too.  It kind of sucks when a free agent or bad player is getting better playing minutes over a prospect that I want to grow.  I also think it would make the developing system a little better as if you want to work on a player's defense, you can play them in a more defensive role as opposed the the computer tossing them wherever.  I know training is partially available to do this, but being able to make a player more well-rounded in the aspects we want would be cool by setting up and managing affiliate team lines.

Also, I saw in a different forum, the idea of adding national teams.  To expand on that, having a world cup would be really cool and it would also add something else for us to follow when our team gets eliminated from the playoffs, as there is only so much you could do with scouting and contracts at the end of the season.

Just a couple of suggestions.  Hope to see these added, but otherwise, I've been liking 2.0 so far

As I think any team would want their best shooter taking every shot in the game however when has that happened in an NHL game? I've seen instances where Brooks Orpik takes a shot on goal even though Alex Ovechkin is on the ice. The reality is that if a player finds themselves in a good shooting position then they should take the shot because you don't know if you will even get a better shot chance in that same offensive zone time.

Ya as you said, it could all be in my head too lol, but when I choose strong leaders, my team usually plays very well.  That being said, I prefer to have a few traits in green so it ends up evening out somewhat.  As for the ego and dirty categories, I am honestly ok with them being in the red because ego could boost winner instinct and the dirty players fit my system well since I usually use the hard or dirty tactic.  Ambition only recently became important to me after I had 23 and 28 year old players retiring on me lol

Personally, I like Leadership when picking my first batch of players but for fa's I've started looking at ambition a lot since lazy traits have shown players to retire earlier now.  I look at big games the least usually (idek why tbh) but I definitely will start taking the big game trait more seriously now after my late season crumble lol, while ego is something I look at as the deciding factor if everything else checks out for me.

If i may offer a suggestion about fa spawning, why not make it only unsigned prospects.  Not a lot, just a couple sprinkled through the season or only at around game 60.  The reason for my thinking is that the NHL has undrafted college free agents that become available at that time of year so it would still allow some flavour for fa signings but limit overpowered teams from snagging high-end players for ridiculous contracts
