I have two players that seem to have odd issues after the Season restart in Buzzer. Aulin, a goalie that was assigned but wanted a 1-way contract is stuck in the affiliate and every time I attempt to view his pag I get an error message. Stankeiwicz is a Defender that I offered a contract extension to (and was accepted) but it still shows up as 1+2 on his Transfer Tab. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What a frustrating way to end both Buzzer and Cage seasons. Both teams got to the finals and then wigged out and lost their minds. Even more irritating is that 90% of the Buzzer season we were ranked #2 until injuries and Goalie meltdowns occurred. C'est la vie - contracts are lookin even better this next season, for both teams, and we should be even more established going into next season.

Make that Season 21 as we just lost the last game of the promotion playoffs after going up 2-0 in the series. Lost my top defenseman for 2 games though so that may have played into it a bit. Oh well, this year I can actually put my team together as most inherited players are out.

I got dibs on Season 20...

I tend to look more at the Big Game section when it comes down to my blue line. Having Defensemen or Goalies that don’t get shaken is a staple of our teams. I will say that if their other skill attributes overcome their character, I may still put anxious or nervous player behind the blue line, but don’t prefer to. I look at Ambition only when drafting or selecting younger players as I’d rather spend some capital on individuals that have a chance at actual growth. I’m with Paul and Krabbat on leadership. Once I get my 3 captains, I tend not to care as much. Lastly, while it is the least of my concerns, I do feel like my team gets better when they actually are friendly etc. In fact, I usually don’t like to pair two arrogant defensemen for communication reasons.

As an update: my Buzzer squad was seeing some success but still low in confidence. I still was rotating between offensive and normal tactics to start my matches but as that one drop down was the only thing that really could have been impacting my team confidence a ton, I decided to stop changing back and forth. Our squad is now in the Blue in confidence and looks to be heading in a positive direction. This doesn’t really help my understanding of the process as it seems counter to what is stated above but, alas, the proof seems to be in the pudding!

Love this! I like the idea of a “Roid Rage Trophy” for the individual with the most combined hits + penalties. Wish we could track fighting and wins/losses there. Maybe the winner can get a re-fillable “Golden gallon” and a years supply of creatine! The “Crentist, the Dentist” award would also go to the individual who got in the most fights and had the highest loss percentage. They would get free dental work once they retired.

“Ok team, let’s hage a meeting next week to discuss this more in depth - Paul you do research on...” What the heck! This is seriously where this conversation is taking my mind - to my job! This is a game! Let’s loosen up a bit, get creative, no paper stamping, super analytical feedback needed. On another note, Rasputin’s team just shoved a stick up my guys’ rears the last game in Buzzer. Still pulling the splinters out...which reminds me, this is primarily a GHL conversation so I’ll let you guys get back to it, this GM is going to hop back in my 95’ Toyota Camry and have a Bologna sandwhich my grandma made me before heading to the rink to coach overweight bon-bon eating ice slugs!

Hmm - maybe mine is a bit different. There are two separate brackets and after game 3 I, and my opponent, completely shifted to a different bracket. Looks like we are now at the original but it was rather odd.

I noticed my team swapped brackets today. I found it odd but decided to do some scouting on the new team. Went back later today and I’m back to my original bracket - who am I playing?!

Two wins into the first round but they have been costly! In the first round I lost my 1st line Sniper, the second game, I lost my top scoring Playmaker for 9 days. Even if we make it through this round, the injuries don’t look good to start...

I rotate my Tactics depending on Homw/Away and how the opponent is generally playing. I’ll rotate between Normal/Offensive to start the game.

Playoffs!

Any word on this? I thought my team, in 4th place, was in bad shape with being Anxious but I play Rasputin’s killer team today and his team is in Crisis. I envision their locker room to be like that scene in Anchor Man where all the news crews start a fight and Brick kills a guy with a trident.

I think I misread the days and games played - looks like we will be in better shape heading into the playoffs with a few extra days ahead - whew! And I’m super pumped for the new playoff format!

I now have 5 Forwards out (4 on the IR) heading into the playoffs. Man, what a terrible time to have half my forwards go down...

Figured I’d just reuse a similar topic thread: Just to confirm, if One receives a player in a trade from a Lower league, the higher league can cut that player with no penalty, correct?

Confidence was at Blue Ok...won 10 straight...now at Orange Ok...ha! Guess it’s ok as long as we’re winning...

I was curious if that was the case. @ Anders or Glawing: is that something we should expect to see moving forward? If we evaluate a prospect for the draft and they look to develop well, will they have a chance to digress out of the gate?

I’ve also noticed a lot of young (18-22) prospects, who are actively playing, and yet declining in areas. Anyone else seeing this?

This is interesting as everything is subjective I’m a designer and tend to lean towards simplicity and cleans, concise pallets but it’s interesting to see what everyone else gravitates toward.. I will say that PaulT did a good job replicating his Bruins’ jerseys

So my Buzzer squad has finally healed and is back on track but why has my Team Confidence gone down as we have started our winning trend once more? We have won 4 straight and 8 of the last 12.
