I like watching someone do both depending on the sport, and the type of stream. I tend to sim most of my games, but try and play out games with consequences. In soccer, I play out all major cup games and one league game a month plus the ones for positions on the table. In baseball I play out the first of each series, in NCAA i play all of them out and in basketball I play one game per in-game week. Then I cut the stream into episodes and put it into my VODs. I notice though that people can get bored if you stop talking and stop checking chat, so keep up with chat and make sure even in downtime, that you're talking strategy, plans, or whatever... even if no-one else is in chat.
I mean, this is the strategy that got me to Twitch affilliate after all, but each community and streamer is different, and that's fine! It's about finding what works for you. :)

Embiid played out of his mind against the Wizards, hes averaging 25 and 11, and his team is 7-0 with him on the floor. Is he the front runner for the MVP at this point?

Welcome to the WSBA Sim Recap – a weekly blog piece to talk about the latest happenings in the WSBA – the first ever online league run by Wolverine Studios. If you’re looking for all the details on the league or to even join yourself click the button below and check out the league for yourself.
Visit the official WSBA homepage Two remain unbeaten…
There were two teams who survived the first month of the season unbeaten. The Chicago Bison ran all over their opponents to a dominant 8-0 start while the Houston Blast were no slouches in the West running off victories in their first seven games.
The keys to victory for both teams lie on opposite ends of the floor. Chicago leads the league in PPG allowed per game with a stingy 93.5 allowed while Houston has been running up the pace and the score on their opponents with an impressive 121.9 PPG scored. These two teams will meet in our next sim in a potential preview of the league finals.
    Roberts, Riggs honored…
Oklahoma City forward Shon Roberts and Dallas guard Jerry Riggs both took home player of the week honors in the first two weeks of the season. Roberts is averaging an impressive 28.3 PPG with 11.0 RPG, 3.9 BPG and 2.7 BPG – he’s a massive force on both ends of the floor early on for the Twisters. Riggs is living up to his “bucket getter” attribute with 31.3 PPG in the early going here including a beautiful 53 point performance in a 129-117 win over Portland.
    When will Charlotte win?
The other big story from the first month of the season is the lone team on the wrong end of the standings as the Charlotte Wasps started off 0-7. Wasps GM AJ Rizzo knew the season would be a challenging one as the Wasps were projected for last place in the East in the season preview guide but an 0-fer start has to be a disappointment still. Charlotte will look to upcoming games against Memphis and at New York (both teams currently sit with two wins) as opportunities for that elusive first win.

Trade between Tampa Bay and Boston
Multiple sources are reporting that Tampa Bay and Boston have agreed in principle to a swap that will send: Blake Coleman, LW, 28 to the Bruins with:
3rd Round Draft Pick (Boston), 2021 NHL Entry Draft joining the Lightning.
Tampa Bay’s general manager would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league.
Matt Duchene has Racked Up 600 Points
Matt Duchene now has 600 points in the NHL. The centre reached this accomplishment in yesterday’s win with his Nashville Predators against the New York Islanders. His stats line for the night was 1 goals and 1 assists for 2 points in 20:41 minutes of ice time in the Nashville 7-2 win over New York.
Trade between Tampa Bay and New York
The Tampa Bay Lightning have made a deal sending: Braydon Coburn, LD, 35 to the New York Rangers for: 3rd Round Draft Pick (NewYork), 2021 NHL Entry Draft
Both sides are said to be pleased with the way the trade worked out.

Mighty Ducks pick up shootout win
The Detriot Red Wings jumped out to a early 2-0 lead in the 1st period. Erik Haula and Filip Hronek both scored their first goals of the season. Vladislav Namestnikov got his first assist of the season on the Haula goal and Danny DeKeyser got his first assist on the Hronek goal.
The Mighty Ducks would get back to within one with just under 7 minutes remaining in the first period when Ryan Getzlaf was able redirect a Silfverberg shot to sneak one past Jimmy Howard. Jakob Silfverb (2) and Rickard Rakell (3) got the assists.
The 2nd period featured only one goal, when 25 year old winger Danton Heinen scored his 7th of the season. The lone assist went to Adam Henrique, his 5th of the season. The teams would remain stalemate throughout the 3rd period and go into overtime tied at 2.
And it would take 3 rounds of the shootout for either team to get one past the opposing goalie when Danton Heinen scored and Tyler Bertuzzi was unable to match him. The Mighty Ducks would take the 3-2 win.
The Mighty Ducks have now won 7 straight games. When head coach Dallas Eakins was able his thoughts on the 7-0 start he said “It’s a long season of ebbs and flows. We will lose one soon and then more then that. We just have to look at the long term future.”

    Mighty Ducks double up Islanders

We have no official numbers but I would guess the exits saw alot of action after the 1st period. The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim saw themselves with a 5-0 lead after the first 20 minutes. It started just 1:15 into the game when Derek Grant scored his 2nd of the season with both teams 5 on 5. Maxime Comtois (2) and Kodie Curran (2) picked up the assists. 58 seconds later both Comtois and Curran would pick up assists again, this time on a Carter Rowney goal, his first of the season. It would take another 9 minutes before another goal. This time it was Kodie Curran getting his 1st of the season with the assists going to Derek Grant (3) and Rickard Rakell (4).
At the 14:39 mark Josh Manson would score a shorthanded goal, with the assist going to Hampus Linholm (1). It was the first goal of the year for Manson. With just 2 seconds remaining in the 1st, Ryan Getzlaf would score his 4th of the season with the assist going to Kevin Shattenkirk (2).
The Islanders would get 2 goals back when Josh Bailey got his 1st of the season and Anthony Beauvillier scored his 5th. The Ducks would add another at the 19:34 mark with Nicolas Deslauriers scoring his 1st of the season.
The Islanders would add one midway through the 3rd period but Mighty Ducks take the 6-3 win. Ilya Sorokin started the game in net for the Islanders and lasted 39:35 before being pulled in exchange for Semyon Varlamov. Sorokin allowed 6 goals on 31 shots. Varlamov stopped all 7 shots he faced. John Gibson for the Mighty Ducks stopped 30 of 33.

Shea Weber has Reached 1000 GP
Shea Weber now has 1000 games played in the NHL. The defenceman reached this milestone in yesterday’s loss with his Montreal Canadiens against the
Minnesota Wild. His stats line for the night was 0 assists and 0 goals for 0 points in 25:27 minutes of ice time in the Montreal loss, 4-2 in Minnesota.
Flyers Claim D Mikko Lehtonen From Waivers
Mikko Lehtonen’s (2.0/2.0) National Hockey League career will continue in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Flyers claimed the 26-year-old defenceman today, although it remains unclear what his role and playing time will be with the club.
Agostino Doesn’t Clear Waivers, Claimed by Stars
The Dallas Stars have claimed Kenny Agostino (2.0/2.0) off waivers. The 28 year old LW has 1 goal and 1 assist in his solo game in the AHL this season.
    Trade between Buffalo and Arizona
The Sabres and Coyotes have been engaged in a little wheeling and dealing. They have just concluded a trade with: Curtis Lazar, C, 25 (2.0/2.0) going to Arizona in exchange for:
Rights to Elliot Ekefjärd, RW, 18 (0.5/2.0).
Rangers give Mighty Ducks first loss of season

Ryan Getzlaf set a new NHL record, with the quickest goal to open a game in NHL history. Beating Merlyn Phillips and (1926-27) and Doug Smail (1981-82) former record of 5 seconds by scoring just 4 seconds into the game. That ties the 3 previous fastest any period; Claude Provost (2nd period, 1957-58), Denis Savard (3rd period, 1985-86) and James van Riemsdyk (2nd period, 2013-14). The lone assist on the goal for Getzlaf was Rickard Rakell, his 5th of the season.
Filip Chytil would tie it at the 16:55 mark with his 1st of the season, on the power play. Assists went to Adam Fox (2) and Artemi Panarin (8). The Rangers would make it a 2 goal lead in the 2nd period when Filip Chytilk would score his 2nd of the game with assist to Artemi Panarin (9). Just 45 seconds after that goal, Kaapo Kakko (3) would make it 3-1 Rangers. Mika Zibanejad (6) and Pavel Buchnevich (3) with the assists.
Adam Fox (2) would score the lone goal in the 3rd period to make it 4-1 Rangers. Mika Zibanejad (7) and Pavel Buchnevich (4) with the assists.
Igor Shesterkin picked up the win, stopping 25 of 26 shots. John Gibson take his first loss, stopping 38 of 42.

Chris reacted to pd2020 in How I started.. Playing Sports Sims
My first game was the original version of Baseball Mogul (with non-licensed teams and players). I then upgraded and was a huge fan of BM08 and also Eastside Hockey Manager 2007.
I have always had more of a passion for the management portion of games and only played franchise in console games such as NHL and Madden as after the first few games I would rarely play PC Games. Now, I am very into FHM, occasionally OOTP, and EHM. Looking at getting into Football sims and debating between FOF and DDS:PF/CF.
Some of my favorite childhood memories include playing sports games with friends and being the GM and HC while my friend was in charge of playing the big games. We would create mega dynasties thanks to my trades (nothing to do with playing the computer).
Just discovered this forum and love the concept as these types of games have always been my passion.
