    Curious if anyone is seeing any ratings increases on your teams yet?  I know the tweaks to training have long been documented and lamented on the forum, but I don't recall seeing one player increase yet this season on my team, not that is definitely a bad thing to avoid what happened in Biscuit.  Just curious since I have seen and experienced players decreasing ovr, which also seems an improvement to help flush out some of the older guys to lower levels and retirement in 2-3 seasons.

    Nice work.  I was thinking of doing exactly this, but haven't had a chance to look through every team yet.  I'll add my list to this post eventually...

    Ugh, I actually hate the B's jersey and therefore Paul's!  haha.  But yes, it is subjective.  I prefer to see people's jersey's that are original, give me something I haven't seen before and memorable.  I actually really like Sheshegwaning Dragons jersey a lot!  Also, it's just a fun team name to say, if not spell!  

     

    Related, I wish there was a way to incorporate our jerseys more into the game.  Honestly, other than in our signature on here and on our team homepage, does it even show up anywhere?  Our emblem shows up on the scores and recaps, but not the full jersey.  I think it would be kind of cool (although graphic heavy from a programming standpoint!!!) to see the jersey next to the team name on the Preview and Recap screens, plus in the standings.  Just a very minor opinion.  

     

    I also think that had you bothered to scroll down to the bottom of the standings, you would have loved The Elite's jersey as well!  haha.  Still miss my old emblem shown here as my avatar.  Couldn't find anything remotely close.

    There should be NO Free Agents after the initial list generation at the beginning of the season UNLESS a player gets cut!  Having these random players show up is ONLY going to reward players that have hours a day to follow the FA list, which is unfair to the majority of players.  I'm not faulting the manager that picked up the latest one, but the SYSTEM!  This is almost as bad as pay-for-play style systems.  The point of GPHM is that we all compete as managers evenly on that skill level, not on how much time we can devote to the game (stats analysis not included).

    I think I may have been the first to call this out during the live chat, but I am more than content to see the results, even if it appears intent was not there.  Self-policing ourselves is still the best way to handle this, so I stand by this.  Sometimes each of us might be involved in something that looks shady, sometimes due to our own fault and other times not, so glad we could flag it, talk about it (mostly) civilly, and then find a solution.  

     

    I think a lot of people are on short leashes here due to the relaunch so expect a bit more scrutiny on each other and the game until we are a few weeks into the game and people are starting to feel more comfortable.  I know I am still trying to give the system the benefit of the doubt and see where it goes!

    Here is some data that will make some of us feel better.  I actually ended the season with MORE wins and points than last season, but last season I finished 8th and 11th this season.  So yes, the league is definitely more competitive this season than last.  In fact, going back 13 seasons with GHL, this was my highest point total and wins, yet I have previously made the playoffs in 4 other seasons with lower total number of wins.  

     

    I think the stats this season (for all stats) are skewed due to having two non-player and non-competitive teams in the league.  This doesn't take away from anyone's accomplishments, but I think almost every team can thank those other two teams for about 15GFs and almost guaranteed 24 points in the standings. 

     

    Not that I am complaining since it meant I didn't have to worry about falling that low in the standings for once!  hahaha.

    Winning only 8 of 30 will do that, haha. If not for my hot start, I'd be relegated for sure. Noted the Minutemen hot and cold as well. Maybe it is the parity, maybe it is randomness, who knows. Will see what happens in March!

    Plus I set the record for greatest flop! I was in first around game 25 and now I won't even make the playoffs! Awesome. Wish I had some excuse since I hardly made any changes and when I did, it seemed to make no difference.

    Well, this season was fun while it lasted!  My career best blazing start has turned into an epic crash and burn, only winning 1 of the past 12 games.  The only solace is knowing I can't end up in 15th place at this point and enjoying the parity that seems to be making the playoff run wide open for almost every team in the league!

    Yeah, if anything, I find the FAs are still too eager to sign for too little money.  Ho hum, another season with us all with 90+ players and the two new teams barely able to scratch together a B squad, no offense!  The economic engine is broken in this and needs to be fixed before the new launch, whenever that is.  :)  

     

    I'm always one FA from the title!  

     

    I do think the reputation thing is now too out of control.  Rebels just signed Sontag for $3M and I offered $3.7M and was denied.  I'm fine with that, actually, as they are defending champs and all, but I got some message that I was over the cap, which wasn't the case because my other FA hadn't yet declined my other offer.  The system should default to whichever FA takes your offer first.  Now you can't make concurrent offers to FAs.  I agree you shouldn't sign more than you can afford, but if there are two FAs that are more or less equal in my book, I have to fight for one and if I lose, hope the other one wasn't taken yet?  That's not true to life.  Maybe I'm the only one that feels that way.  

     

    Regardless, until the salary cap and salary requests are realistic, FA combined with the elevated OVRs make the game kind of broken.

    Uhm, raise your hand if you are still here!  It seems that our league has almost vanished with few active managers and virtually no cross talk or anything for the past two months.  I know there might be some "meh" feeling until the new launch, but just curious.  Also, saw some surprising roster changes from typically very active managers.  

     

    Also, let's not forget to congratulate Jusu of the Richford Rebels as Season 16 champs!  Quite the upset!

    You ever regret trading him for Eure? I doubt it. After playing 20 games, he was traded again the same season to the Elite and had decent stats, but his decline was inevitable. After one full great season, he was traded again and hasn't found a full time home since. Was a beast in the face off circle though!

    It took a 3rd game shootout for Elite to finish of the Bangers, so well played. My players average, AVERAGE, 5 or more ovr per position, and your team made it a nail biter. Good luck next season and see you all in the reboot too#

    Good luck with the GHL opponent Bodmin - take them out at the knees...or their face....doesn't matter who that way ;)

     

    I think that is me!  My guys are pretty worthless, but I'll see what we can do.  Playing dirty can't hurt much more at this point.  Maybe they'll finally get some excitement into their game!!!
