  1. I’ve played management games with arena ticket sales and budgets etc, it seemed a bit too complicated for my taste. I like to just focus on the team building aspect of the game. Don’t get me wrong, when I first heard of it I loved the idea of it, but once put into action it got tedious.

  2. Another thing I would suggest that is on the note of draft class presentation that I have been thinking of for a while is multiple rankings. In real life there are countless lists and websites that have draft rankings such as nhl central scouting, tsn, ISS hockey, and many more. I’m not saying we should have 10 different rankings, but 3-4 would be useful. This would come into play mostly for drafts such as the Hischier-Patrick draft where many rankings had each interchangeable at 1/2. It would help close decisions where the prospects are similar, if say 3/4 rankings have one player above another it would give them more stock and make your decision easier.

  3. I’m not in the LIHL but I love meeting and conversing with other managers, this game has a great community.

I’m Gator Raid, manager of the Unity Fire Dogs in the GHL, if you have any questions about the game or just want a second opinion on something regarding lines, tactics, trades etc. let me know! I’m learning new stuff about this game everyday, so I don’t know everything, but I’m willing to pass on what knowledge I do have.

    Talk to you soon

  4. I collect data of all the teams top 20 players (12 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goalies), add them all up and compare what the league is looking like every year. This year I thought I’d share my data (players on waivers were NOT counted even if they were better than some players dressed, I DID include players on IR if they were better than a dressed player at their same position, I DID NOT include players in the minors).

    Legend:

-number before team name is total team overall

-number in parentheses to the left of the team is their ranking in terms of overall

-list is in order of league position at the time when data was collected

    - +/- number to the right of team name is how many overall points away from the average total overall they are

-number to the right in parentheses is teams average overall

  5. Definitely bugged, he is asking me for 1.76mill for a 1 year deal. Even taking into consideration I am the highest ranked GM in the world (according to reputation) and my team is 2nd in reputation, he shouldn’t be asking more than 3mill from you.

  6. SUPERSTAR FOR SALE! After one last cup with my team, I have decided to move on from my defense man Joshua Metts. The 98ovr defender has consistently put up 50 point campaigns his whole career, just coming off a 51 point season. He has full blue/green traits and is showing no signs of slowing down in his production. I’m looking for a young Defenseman in return, somewhere along the lines of 20yr and 92+ with good traits (minimum blue big games trait). Once the offseason begins, my draft picks will be restored so those can be included in the deal as well.

    Looking forward to your offers,

    Gator

  7. Currently I can’t see his extension, so I can’t tell you if it is a good deal or not. Considering your cap space, if it is anywhere under 3.5mill I wouldn’t risk it. If it is above 3.8 I would consider cancelling and re negotiating his extension, but it’s your team and I can’t tell you what to do. That’s just my opinion.

  8. To start it off, I’m looking to unload my centers Sunday and Allen. Sunday is a 33yo 93ovr with exceptional offensive stats and a strong defense stat, at 93. He had good size (6’3” 209lbs) and has 2 green, 2 blue and 1 orange trait. He is a work horse and can eat up top 6 minutes on most GHL teams. He also just signed a 2.4mill x 2yr extension. Allen is a 21yo 89ovr center on a very affordable 1.6mill x 4yr contract. He has great traits, with 4 blue and 1 green as well as strong physical stats, making him a great powerforward who can fit into your bottom six well. Being young, he also has the potential to grow in to a top six role, which he is likely to do in the next couple seasons. I’m trying to move one of these two for a 4th line center between 92-93ovr. The age range I’m interested in is 20-28, but there is a little wiggle room in this area. They must have good traits, with minimum blue Big Games trait. Cap space is not a worry of mine, so if you need me to eat some cap for you in order to make a deal go through, I’m willing to do that.

Thank you for reading my lengthy proposal,

    Gator

  9. I’m opening this thread so managers have the opportunity to try and sell managers on their players without having to mass copy/paste a message about it. If you have a player you are trying to get rid of, just mention their good qualities and what they can provide to a team as well as what you are looking for In return.

(No offers should be made here, just advertisements of players/picks/prospects)

    Goodluck in your negotiations!

    Gator

  10. No, the team placed 1/2 in the lower league get automatically promoted and 15/16 (or whatever the bottom two teams are in the specific leagues) get automatically relegated. Then teams 8-4 play in playoffs. The top two teams from those playoffs play teams 14/13, if they can manage to beat them in a playoff series, they get promoted but if they lose then the higher league keeps their spot.

    Hope this helped,

    Gator

  11. I’ve noticed it a while ago and got a little annoyed, because after checking other teams in the GHL I noticed I had a slightly harder schedule than most but at the end of the day I agree with Colo, more important features to be worked on.
