  1. Game 5 of the season, vs. the relegated exGHL Slaughterville Storm: Top-line centre Deslaurier out with an upper-body for *37 games*!!! WTF?!?!?!?!?!/111111 Oh, its on, Exxeo. 12 more games: watchout. . . . . . PS. j/k. . . . . PPS. No really. Keep your head up. . . . . . . PPPS. Game 20: popcorn time! . . . . . . . . PPPPS. It's all a game! Make believe! Don't worry, you're fine. .. . . . . . . . PPPPPS. grrrr
  2. Silver lining: I signed a boner for next season! (Rayan Bonar) http://www.gameplanhockey.com/player?gpid=39698
  3. lol Exxeo, I haven't gone anywhere. Maybe you mean my team? ... still learning the ropes in SHL. Looks like my team is going to be watered down a bit, with players on outgoing contracts averting their eyes when I enter the room. Also their agents won't return my calls. But whatever. I've come to the conclusion that SHL is where you need to finally commit long-term to prospect development to get anywhere close to GHL. So looks like I'm on the long road. Oh well, time for heads-down management
  4. Only 6 more games left. I have to win 5 to make .500 How the math works out, I'm not guaranteed to stay in SHL, but I'm fairly safe... *knocks on wood* ... but a little disappointed in the season anyway. The only teams I could compete with were the Computer managed ones. I guess I can feel better about keeping another SHL draft position, but it's a long wait for my prospects to mature. Maybe I'll compete for a GHL spot 4 seasons from now! meh
  5. Bah! These losing streaks are a bummer. 1-1-1-7 right now
  6. +1 to this. The way it is now, if I forget the length of John Doe's current contract, and he's on the farm team, I need to drill down to his player card...
  7. Talk talk talk Please ????

    Playoffs

But your season ticket holders would be pissed if they missed out on a playoff game! And think of all of that beer waiting to be sold at your arena! Gotta keep your fans and shareholders happy
  9. Well, S20 is done for the Wolves. Our first season in the SHL and we finished 9th, which was pretty respectable. Highest rank during the season was 6th, and we held that for longer than we probably should have -- kept it while we had a 5-game losing streak! Going into the season, I signed a big-name goalie and he finished 4th in the league... actually the guy probably kept us in it longer than we deserved. Now that we've lost him to $$, we're turning to our #2 goalie for S21. No idea how we'll survive. If it turns out that S21 puts us into relegation, I'm still happy with where the team is at: most of my contracts have no one-way clauses, the roster age is quite young, and I've been able to draft in the SHL position in the S19 and S20 seasons... it puts my team into a great location to ride the SHL/BHL line for a while. Extra bonus: I got to trade blows with Slaughterville! It was good while it lasted
  10. +1 to this Also, additional filters: height, weight, traits, goals, assists, GAA...
  11. He wanted a raise from 3.2M that I was paying him... isn't your whole team salary cap 0.75M? lol
  12. Looks like there may be a few computer SHL teams heading for the BHL... ripe for aspiring GMs that want to make the hop... **looks at Baden**
  13. Good luck Baden! Go NSS
  14. I have a 89ovr goalie, aged 31, that needs to go because he's asking too much. I will be releasing him so if you want him you could wait for Silly Season... or if you want to beat that, send me a msg. Greg PS if you want to add a similar player on your team to this thread, go ahead!
  15. Hopping for sure, and that's all good. Multiple accounts is hard to say, but given the circumstances, highly likely. But hey, I'm trying to play nice, play right, and that's all that matters Go Wolves!
  16. Wow! About 5 different BHL teams and one SHL team turned over today! Including the dude with 5 seasons and 37 games played. Cool. He should have waited a little longer, he could have benefited from the 84ovr trade that occurred right afterwards... Crazy
  17. Huh. There's a team in BHL that is choosing to scratch all of its higher level players (even one that is 84ovr), and play its lesser-skilled players. Funny. And it is being GM'd by a rookie who has played a total of 37 games... over 5 seasons! Can we call bullsh1t?
  18. Same thing in SHL of Clapper. I'd give you the URL of one of the teams, but since I can't access their page from my phone.... Yeah.
  19. The Coquitlam Tribune Savage Storm upend Timberwolves 5-2 SLAUGHTERVILLE, OK. The Savage Storm handily beat the visiting team last night, and boy was it a rough one. Credited with 23 hits, the home team spanked the Coquitlam Timberwolves on the boards and in the corners, and skated away from most of the physical play initiated by the visitors. After the first period, the Storm took a one goal lead and ground out the last two periods to a 5-2 final score. Storm defenseman Lucas Calello shared the team lead of 3 hits last night and pitched in with a helper. "It's nice to be able to contribute on the gamesheet, but I feel better about beating on those wimpy SHL wannabees." 'Wolves backup goalie Joen Berg put on a brave face after the game, having let 5 out of 35 shots get by him. "Coach let me know with 10 minutes to go that I'd be playing, and I guess I just couldn't find my angles in time." Shortly after the buzzer sounded, Berg's twitter account listed a post that read, "Hey @BergerFries -- I found you this protractor goo.gl/ZzHVZs. Luv Mum." While the Coquitlam coach was quick to get on the bus to their next game at Pinehurst -- a 1,200 mile trip -- their assistant manager, Notta H. Uman, was happy to comment on the game. "The team had some tactical difficulties offensively against our opponent's defence. The opponent's defense and goalie was superior to our team's goal scoring in today's game. The opponent's defense was superior to our team's offense in today's game. The body checking of our opponent's offense was superior to our team's defense in today's game." The guy did not shut up. "At least the team did very well tactically during powerplay against our opponent's penalty killing." Also, the Wolves did not score one powerplay goal. The Storm's coach liked their compete level. "I think that we..." The rest of his statement was boring and had five spelling errors. The Timberwolves play the Razorbacks at 12am tonight. Maybe we'll think about broadcasting it.
  20. Well, less than 20 games in and I've already flirted with 15th place in my first SHL season. But after the last 10 games where we've posted a respectable 5-1-0-4 record, we sit 7th. I feel a bit better about the team, such that it is. Certainly need a few seasons to fully adapt the lineup. Just hoping to keep above the relegation line! My next challenge: the big, bad , Savage Storm. *Boooooo* Will the 'Wolves make it past the early-season juggernaut, having just lost their #1 D to a week-long concussion? Will the Storm flatten the visiting team on their way to a nigh-impossible 15-1-1-1 record? Tune your radio to C-SHL900 to hear all the bone-crushing action!
  21. lol isn't it 80 hours to relegation? The season is 77 "days" long, and we're at day 72. Baden get prepared to bounce back! Rally the troops

Hey, I'm the GM of the BHL team that the Renegades traded to. His story is legitimate -- the GM of the Colome Knights traded to the Renegades, who traded to me. This transaction was repairing a trade that bugged out in S18, where I traded a SHL pick for a prospect... Colome knights got the pick, but I did not get the prospect. By the time Anders addressed it (he was working on the latest patch) Colome was in the GHL and I was still BHL, so there was no solve and I was out both the prospect and the pick. I support the reversal of the ban on the Renegades, and can support the claim that the trade that we were involved in should not be considered cheating. Thank you, Greg
  24. @Baden Looks like the Wheelers have to go through the Desert Birds first... who are themselves fighting for the #2 spot. The Wheelers may have nothing to play for once they meet up with the Panthers...
