Some things took longer to develop than I thought. But it's starting to come together now.

I'm hoping to release an unfinished (but tradable) draft to UAT next week.

Hi everyone!  Only just found GMGames and wishing I'd found it ages ago

I'm Kieran from Bit By Bit Games, (http://bitbybitgames.co.uk).  UK-based so mostly biased towards Soccer/Rugby/etc with the exception of being a huge MMA fan.

Long term management game fan, started out with soccer management games like "Football Manager" way back on the BBC Micro, the "Premier Manager" games on the Amiga and managed to avoid total addiction to the Championship Manager and Football Manager games.  I can usually be suckered into playing anything with a large amount of numbers under the hood and some exciting simulation based action.

Currently playing mobile management games like "Motorsport Manager", "New Star Soccer" and my own game "MMA Manager" as I find it easier to find the time and running out of battery life makes me actually take a break and stop playing!

We will be using the default database the idea that I seen by Wynne from Youtube about only buying Regens aka Youth Intake so that is all I will be using for signing players in this game. I want to become the first Canadian to make his name known in the England league in FM15 save.

Just a bit of history of myself

Growing up in Hamilton, Ontario Canada I was a huge hockey fan and after completing the SWMM scouting and GM course I knew what it would take to run a successful franchise. However there was no shot in becoming a team manager in hockey unless you had your foot in the door or basically knew someone. Like the saying goes it’s not what you know it’s who you know. So I decided to take my management skills and apply them to a soccer team. So here I am sitting in my Hamilton apartment as i just finished my smww hockey gm and scouting course I have decided to give up my hockey dream and begin my soccer manager team. After a poor past couple of seasons it was known in the media that the Guiseley FC has recently fired their Manager and has begun their search for their new manager in hopes to change the franchise around and build their club. As I look at the possible ideas to help change the club I would decide to fax my resume to the ownership of Guiseley FC and after a few interviews as a canadate for the manager position I got a few phone calls later to find out that out of all of the managers that they interviewed i was the best one for the job so now I have been named as the new Guiseley FC Team Manager.

As far as nations database goes I have selected the following countries

We will be using England’s start date to begin our save

I have also decided to go with Canada as my 1st nationality as that was where i was born and Dutch as my second nationality as I have Dutch and Italy as my other nationalites.

I have decided to go in the middle at the Managerial style (National B License and Sunder League Footballer both based on Guiseley bages)

Barrow has been made the favourite 8-1 to gain promotion from the VCN this season. The rest of the main contenders are priced at:

    33-1 Oxford City, 33-1 Harrogate, 40-1 Tamworth, 40-1 Guiseley, 40-1 Hyde

Having priced your team at 40-1, the bookmakers obviously believe that you are one of a number of teams in with a serious chance of promotion. They feel that as long as you perform to your capabilities there is no reason why you shouldn’t be in a promotion spot come the end of the season.

    July 26th

Our main squad has a friendly against Brigg, we drew a 1-1 draw against Brigg. Alex Johnson scored the lone goal and Gavin Rothery missed the penalty shot.

    July 29th

Our U18 has their last friendly game before their regular season begins as they play Wolves U18. Our U18 squad lost by a score of 2-1, Arran Lyon an unknown scored the lone goal.

Jake Lawlor was injured during first team training and will be out 5 to 7 weeks with a sprained ankle.

    July 30th

Our U18 squad has scheduled two more friendly games on August 7th against Norwich U18 at home and against Crewe U18 before they open the regular season on the 16th of August against Lowestoft.

Our main squad has a friendly against Bamber Bridge on our home pitch. Our main squad won by a score of 2-1, Gavin Rothery and Adam Boyes scored the goals.

We lost another two players in Wayne Brooksby for 3 weeks to a Groin strain and Gavin Rothery for 3 weeks with a twisted knee that brings a total of 5 injuries on our main squad and our season hasn’t even started yet

Unfortunately I didn’t decide to fully jump in with the BeAGM story until I had already played up to the playoffs of the first season. So my goal is to move through the regular season fairly quickly and begin to provide more in depth game recaps beginning in season two.

Also this is my first time posting a dynasty on this website so if i step on any toes please let me know. I have some pictures to be included in this but an having trouble formatting them as I'm unfamiliar with the set up here. Regardless, enjoy the story!!

Chris reacted to muns in NCAA-53 a FBCB league
Anyone interested in a NCAA basketball league starting in 1953 (Using FBCB 2010 game) trying to create a new NCAA history of basketball?
The year was 2015. The college basketball history books have been written. Gone were the days of Wooden and UCLA, the old glory days of Rupp and Kentucky, and the Brillance of Phog Allen in Kansas. Now, you have the one and done’s with Calipari, the game being played above the rim with many teams running and gunning, and what many people see as the decline of fundamental basketball. Is Duke and Coach K the new way to play the game? Is Tom Izzo and Michigan State the model for how coaches should be building their teams? Is John Calipari good for College basketball? On top of those basketball related questions, has the commercialization ruined amateur athletics? I don’t know about all of you, but those questions are enough to make my head spin.

But what if I told you there was a way we could return to a time where the game and its history could be re-written? Want to play as the St. Bonaventure Brown Indians in the Western New York Little Three Conference? Or how about the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys of the Border Intercollegiate Athletic Association? Or maybe you want to try your luck within the Atlantic Coast Conference (with only 8 teams) as Wake Forest? Have you even heard of the Alabama Polytechnic Institute Tigers? Want to try and make them the powerhouse of the Southeastern Conference? There are plenty of teams and storylines to be had, followed, changed and wrote about.
Just imagine if Wooden and the greatest dynasty college basketball has ever seen didn’t happen. What if there was no early entry to the draft and every player graduated from college? How about if Tobacco Road was never important in the basketball landscape? Other than the Ivy Group, what if there were no academic standards? What if Philly and the Big 5 turned into the basketball Mecca of the world?

Enter Murrayyyyy and his vision for a way to rewrite the college basketball history books using Fast Break College Basketball 2010. All the authentic team names and logos. All the conference alignments as it was back in the day with both team and conference movements that occur as they did back then.

NCAA 53 is an opportunity to take the reins of your favorite college basketball program at a time where the NCAA was just starting to get into its groove. Thanks to a win by the CCNY Beavers who won both the NIT and NCAA tournaments in 1950, the NCAA orchestrated a shift in the basketball landscape the following year. Teams would no longer be eligible to play in both tournaments. The spotlight that had always been shone on the NIT and New York were now going to be shut off. Sunny California and the West were going to have their time to shine. Will this shift happen in NCAA 53? Will you let it?

Come on over and check us out. Plenty of spots available with both inexperienced FBCB players and vets alike. Play around and have some fun in a league where every single recruiting action and every single coaching action has a ripple effect on the college landscape. Come rewrite the history books and change everything you have ever hated about college basketball. Do you have the guts to make New York University Violets the next Duke? Do you have what it takes to become the next John Thompson or Pete Carril?

Come show us what you got! The league will follow everything from conference movement/names/creation or destructions along with University name changes to both the school and their nickname. Teams are set up as they should be. Stanford Indians, St. John’s Redmen, Colorado A&M Aggies, Alabama Polytechnic Institute Tigers, etc…

It's not a pressure filled league, The guy creating it was originally just going to use the setup for a solo league but figure what would be the harm having some other people take on a team. We just finished up year 2. Now is the time to get in and claim a team.

Blue Jays Crush Indians Will Face The Yankees in Next Round

    October 13th, 2022

The Toronto Blue Jays pinned their season hopes on the shoulders of their Ace in SP Jamie Cox as they sent him to the hill in a winner take all battle against the second place wild card team the Cleveland Indians. The Jays head into the playoffs getting a pair of key players back in 3B Stu Daniels and SP Gerritt Cole both missed significant time with injuries but are back at 100% and will be ready as the Jays head deeper into the playoffs.

SP Jamie Cox showed why he is widely considered the best pitcher in baseball right now as he dominated the Indians for 8 innings allowing them just 1 run on 5 hits with 2 walks and struck out 14. The Jays gave him a lot of run support early on as well scoring 6 runs int he 3rd and adding 4 more in the 4th inning and knocking the Indians Ace SP Justin Hooper out of the game early. Offensively 1B A.J. Reed was 3-3 with 2 homeruns a double and drove in 3 runs and SS Carlos Correa and CF Albert Almora added homeruns and each drove in 3. For the Indians only 1B Bran O'Quinn could muster anything offensively going 2-3 with a pair of doubles and adding 2 RBI.

ALDS Game #1 - New York Yankees @ Toronto Blue Jays
SP Justin Hooper (17-11 2.67 ERA) vs
SP Jamie Cox (18-4 2.58 ERA)

Hello FHMers, EHMers, other sim gamers I am not familiar with, and hockey fans alike, I wanted to share with you a wonderful, long lasting community that is looking for more hockey fans/gamers/sports nuts to join us called the SHL. OriginalSHL.com The SHL, Simulation Hockey League, is always open to new members.  If you've ever fantasized about what it would be like to live the life of a hockey player, to be drafted in juniors as a young prospect and create your hype in the hockey world then this community is for you.  You have the opportunity to live out your hockey career, from juniors to the eventual big league, leaving your name in the history books.  We are going into our 25th season and would like you to be a part of our established and affectionate community, more on that later.  First here is what the site is all about and what you can expect to get out of it!
'BE-A-PRO EXPERIENCE   -  A rich, personal hockey experience. Build your player the way YOU want him/her to be. Be a player and try to live out a hall of fame career and find the rewards of your success eternally  inscribed in the SHL Hall of Fame.  Success is based on your activity within our community.  There are entertaining  activities you can do on your own time and weekly training that allow you to improve in skills you need to succeed.  Every game is simulated on the STHS hockey simulator, an advanced program that has been the backbone of our league since inauguration. (Similar to EHM)  PROGRESSION SYSTEM  -  When you first embark on your hockey journey you will create a young player just eligible for the SMJHL (Junior) Draft, from there you will show the world what your potential could be.  Next you will find yourself eligible to the SHL (Professional/NHL) Draft and your future within the SHL will just be beginning.  Each team is owned and operated by real humans, these members have established themselves as helpful and highly participant bodies of our community.  They choose you to be the next face of their franchise.  DRAFT DAY  -  Experience what it is like to wait for your name to be selected.  This is a full draft experience where real people will draft you and spend their resources on your potential.  Become the next big steal, or potentially the next big bust.  Every decision made is personal and rewarding because of our community.  Will you be the next McDavid/Eichel?  REAL PEOPLE, REAL OWNERS  -  Every aspect of the league is ran by real people for the progression of the league, from junior player hoping to one day make the big leagues to SHL superstar, to even owner of an historic franchise.  Every detail is ran and executed by real humans.  Every decision from team lineups, draft day selections and last minute trade deadline deals are done by real human owned teams.  Will you find yourself a part of that trade deadline package sending you to a playoff contender? Or will you be a young and coming prospect dealt in a deal to a team on the rebuild?  COMMUNITY  -  Once your player is drafted onto a team you will gain access to a private locker room for your organization.  Here is often where the closest relationships develop.  This is an area just for your team to talk about whatever you want and reflect on the season in front of you and what the future may hold.  This is a hockey community who is passionate about their sport but even if you're not a hockey guru or follower but enjoy the idea we are a welcoming and friendly bunch to all!  CASUAL OR HARDCORE  - Your experience is completely determined by you.  Busy life? You don't need to spend hours a week to improve your player or participate, all activity levels are welcome.  You can be a casual player, or take on a larger role and find yourself taking jobs within the league, or even becoming an owner of a franchise yourself.  You get what you put in, but time is not the most important factor for SHL success.  You will have a pleasant and fun experience by just hanging around with us.  ESTABLISHED LONGEVITY  -  We are going into our celebratory 25th season and have been in place for over half a decade!  Although our community is old, our members are both veterans and rookies alike.  We're a very welcoming bunch, and it is quite easy to jump right in and have fun with all of us! Very friendly community that is always there to answer any question you may have, regardless of how silly you may think it is.   FREE  -  To clear up any confusion, I want to emphasize that our community/site is completely free.  Its free to join, free to participate, free to do what you want.  Our league runs off the hard work of our community, we all serve each other in that regard.  I'm not selling you anything here, just offering you a welcome to our community.  You have nothing to lose by checking us out. =] Besides we're a helpful friendly bunch. That sums up an overview of what the Simulation Hockey League has to offer.  We're a growing, established and loving community that has been around for many years now.  We hope you take a moment and check us out.   You can find us at OriginalSHL.com  -- I would highly appreciate it if you could list BeanSobie as your referral when creating your player. =]  Best Wishes, BeanSobieOriginalSHL.com

That's usually the hardest part of a trade AI is factoring a lot of these things in. It's a whole algorithm around team needs, valuation, contracts, and then not taking on mediocre talent that is able to weigh the scale in to approval.

This has been always an interesting AI challenge for all the game developers. Wishing you great success on it!

    Bouncer:
Yes multiple players might be traded at once. I'm not sure on how to solve the free agent market just yet, but sure you have a good point. But it's not easy to trade three mediocre players for one great player. Hopefully the trade value will be smart enough to prevent bad trades and there is always the issue with salary cap space on the team to fit three new players.

Draft is coming and yes draft picks will be tradable

Not all players will drop in confidence when put on the trade block, only loyal players that don't handle pressure that well will get a slight decrease

    Player trade value

The player trade value will hint managers of the players value in a trade. The value displayed on the player page is not an exact value, this will be hidden. The trade value will look at both player ratings, traits, age, size, role fittings, contract situation and much more. It's designed to help managers composing trade offers and prevent unfair trades.

    Trade availabiltiy

As default players trade availability will be Unknown. But managers will be able to set this to Untouchable or Trade block. Untouchable players will not be possible to include in trade offers by others while players put on the trade block is a clear signal that a manager is looking to move the players. Those players will also be listed at the transfer page along side with free agents (though filter).

    Hi,

Here's few ideas I've been having:

    Compare,
Being able to compare players skills quickly and easily. When you are in the lineup-menu and are about to change a player you automatically open both the current and the new players and comparing the stats side-by-side.
Also you could compare players in the transfer list to your own players. (Posting quick pictures later today when I'm back home from work)

    Line-specific tactics:
Is it in the plans to be able to change attacking and defending tactics line-by-line basic? F.ex. you could have your 1st line be dumb and chase, your 2nd line crash the net and your third line puck possession? At the moment you cannot really have too much of diversity in your team due the fact that if you want to have one physical crash the net line, there's really no point in going for small and skilled players in rest of your attacking lines.

    New tactics:
A bunch of new tactics, f.ex. behind-the-net. Here you would have fast wingers with good puck handling and passing skills and a pwf or sniper in the center spot with physical and shooting skills. (As far as I know, could be and probably will be wrong, this isn't an option at the moment since it doesn't really fit into dump and chase nor crash the net tactics. It closest to the puck possession tactic but not that exactly either.)

Also are goalies so highly appreciated on purpose? I mean almost every week all the three stars of all the leagues are all goalies. Not that there's anything wrong but was just curious.

That's all I can think of at the moment and would like to thank for all the hard work that has been put into GPH!

    Cheers,
    Jussi
