Besides Pro Football 2021 and Pro Basketball 2021 my other favourites are Eastside Hockey Manager, the Out of the Park Baseball series, Fire Pro Wrestling, Total Extreme Wrestling, Front Office Football, Franchise Hockey Manager, Tennis Elbow Manager 2, Motor Sport Manager and my ALL time favourite, the Football Manager series (played every addition from 2013 - 2021)

I had to have spent legitimately like 400 hours on my first OOTP save, been hooked ever since. I like the creativity text sims allow you when it comes to editing and customizing teams. Console sports games don't have that luxury most of the time.

I spent far too much time on Championship Manager 01/02 although I don't really like watching soccer at all...

With OOTP GO being released this week, I figured I needed to make a dynasty on it. Think I'll keep up to date and have more fun with it then OOTP on desktop, as if I'm home I'm normally playing The Show and not OOTP. With my local AAA Indy Indians being triple A affiliate of the Pirates, decided to start a dynasty with Pittsburgh.

(PITTSBURGH, PA) --- With the change in weather, it's time for another season in the MLB. The Pirates who haven't made the playoffs since 2015 and has only made the playoffs 3 times since 1992, announced changes the hiring of a new GM. Fans haven't had much to cheer about for a long time in Pittsburgh, management is hoping that changes soon.
    Starting Rotation:

The Pirates will be lead by 24 year old Mitch Keller. Keller only played 5 games last season for the Pirates, going 1-1 with a 2.93 ERA. In 2019 he started 19 games in AAA Indianapolis, accumulating a 7-5 record with a 7-5 record.
    Bullpen:

The player to watch could be 21 year old Luis Oviedo. The question will be whether the young kid can make the leap straight to the majors, has not played higher then A ball before this season.
    Fielders:

The fielders will be lead by 24 year old third baseman, Ke'Bryan Hayes. The outfield could be the weak link for the Pirates.
The Buccos start the season with 6 games vs the Chicago Cubs (3 away, 3 at home), with a 3 game series at the Cincinnati Reds in between the 6 Cubs games.

NBA Live 95 was one of my first sports games, beside a couple of classic (german) football/soccer management games, that are still fun to play (at times). For NBA Live 96 - that I asked to get for christmas - me and my brothers were searching our parent's house to find it prior to christmas eve. And we did - and we actually were playing the game a couple of times (secretly) and put it back, just to receive it back on christmas day.

Originally started with Baseball Mogul when I picked up from Big Lots when I was a pre-teen. I was less interested in management, not a big baseball fan quite honestly, but loved watching seasons unfold and the little paper headlines peppered throughout. And while sure, would love to be successful in my sports sims, I want to feel like I'm part of a league that creates history. Where you get to see little wrinkles throughout a given season that don't go in the records books.

    Hey guys,
I'm starting an NBA sim league using the game "Fast Break Basketball" beginning during the 2002-03 NBA season. I created the league file myself and it is based on rosters as of October 2002.
Here is a link where you can view every team's roster that has player ratings and salary: http://beyondthearc.epizy.com/rosters/
The West is stacked with the Dallas Mavericks (Dirk and Nash), the Lakers (Kobe and Shaq) and the Spurs (Duncan, young Parker/Ginobli). Then you've got stars like Iverson and McGrady in the East.
It's also the year before the LeBron/Wade/Melo/Bosh draft.
I plan to sim daily and at that pace we should finish a season in about a month of real life time. We can go as many seasons as there remains interest and I hope it lasts a long time.
It's all run through a message board forum, which can be found here: https://beyondthearc.jcink.net/index.php?act=idx
It's quite fun and a great community to be a part of as a basketball fan in my experience. I hope you'll join if you're interested, as 23 of the 29 teams are still open.
The rest of the rules for the league are explained in greater detail on the forum. I used other similar leagues I've seen to sort of form a skeleton, but if you join I'm open to any suggestions you have on how to make it better.
    Hope to see you there!

Depends on what other sports you follow (then again maybe not, great way to learn new sports).  Games I play a lot of are Draft Day Sports College Basketball and Pro Basketball), Out of the Park Baseball and for pro football (American) I would suggest Draft Day Sports again.  Draft Day Sports games can be found at WolverineStudios.com

Jan. 25, 2026: #16 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish (14-6, 4-5) vs Boston College Eagles (11-7, 4-4) at Silvio O. Conte Forum, Chestnut Hill, MA
    Barney Bradley, BC fan:
This game was close in the early going with multiple lead changes. But in the latter stages of the first half, BC caught fire, hitting most all their shots from all over the court.  By the end of the first 20 minutes, the Eagles sported a 46-35 lead and Notre Dame seemed in shock.  The only problem for BC was that starting C Jason Caldwell had 3 fouls against him.
Then in the second half the Eagles shifted from a hot offense to a daunting defense which kept the Fighting Irish unable to really fight back and unable to mount a challenge.  BC took Notre Dame to the cleaners and scored a resounding 78-61 victory.  The Eagles outshot the Irish 58% to 37% and totally dominated the boards 36-18.
Guard Samuel King came off the bench to lead all scorers with 16 points.  C Jason Caldwell scored 12 before fouling out.  PG Willis Lofton and SG James Lilly both added 11 points.  PF Marius Witt and SF/PF Marvin Reese combined to grab a total of 17 rebounds.
It sure was great seeing the Eagles take down Notre Dame so convincingly.  We Eagles’ fan are not used to that.
