    Uhm, raise your hand if you are still here!  It seems that our league has almost vanished with few active managers and virtually no cross talk or anything for the past two months.  I know there might be some "meh" feeling until the new launch, but just curious.  Also, saw some surprising roster changes from typically very active managers.  

     

    Also, let's not forget to congratulate Jusu of the Richford Rebels as Season 16 champs!  Quite the upset!

    Sort of here... Kinda lost interest when there were more than one last season and now that I came back my teams not really in a position to do anything more than relegate, which would mean tanking and trading away players, but then again why bother if it's again few weeks and the update is coming :confused:

     

    I did track my players

    i looked at draft picks from my opponent in the playoffs and he  has a couple of them (3 first round, 3 second round and some 3 rounds..).. but nevermind.. i will wait until day 77..

     

    Yeah that can be a hazzle sometimes. Those three picks that were originally yours will be swapped with those three that were originally his. So you have to track those picks of his if you want to know before hand. So if he got a fair return with lets say his 1st rounder he might have made quite a deal for himself, since his trade partners is now going to get a lower league first rounder.. I hope that made sense :D

    If you'r afraid that your draft will be fckd up, because of not having time to log on later iirc you get the picks of whom you just beat so you can go and check what picks he has and do your drafting based on it.

    Some players are just greedy, which is good!  But now, most seem too cheap for their own good.  The whole point of contract negotiations is for a player reaching their peak, either in skill or ego, is they SHOULD ask for more.  I'm not sure how the engine works or if it is just based on individual player's requests.  It'd be cool if I offered a 90ovr player $3M a year that suddenly all the other 90ovr players start thinking, hmmm, maybe I should be getting that too, etc.  That is probably more difficult than coding individual players and likely why we have the current situation, but now it is too easy to keep an All-Star level team in GHL and then back stock players in the AAHL that should be GHL starters or too expensive and in the SHL as a Star.  I'd be all for a 10-20% cap reduction in the GHL.  

    That would be cool. I'd guess every GHL manager would hate me then tho xD

     

    but yeah it could be hard to implement, idk. I guess easier solution would just make it follow somesort of x^y function with some variables to take skill, league etc. into account.

    If the trades are between two human managers, it may be a case of one person using multiple accounts, which is a no-no.

     

    If you suspect cheating, you can report it by going to the team in question's home page, click Action, then Report Cheating.

     

    In addition to that you should report it to [email protected] if you suspect foul play.

    After 7 missed seasons we are finally back at the poffs! It's just a shame we are facing Grizzlies and we are 0-1-0-3 against them this seasons ... Not getting my hopes up yet :D

     

    and we got past the first round! Not sure did we deserve it, but I'll take it :D Next is the 1st seeded Pegasus and we are 2-0-0-2 in this seasons against them :huh:

     

    Just curious, when's the last time Protons dropped at this stage of poffs? And pretty exiting last game between Protons and Minutemen :D

    Hi!

     

    So few players from other teams and my Aurelius who is 94 ovr request imo way too low salaries. I know we are in sort of a transition phase, this isn't real or EA NHL etc., but Aurelius is 94!!ovr (Hell, even EA put McDavid and Crosby as 93 ovr) and he wants 4,4m. I could have FIFTEEN of them in my roster. That's way too much imo. Ofc, like probably everyone here, I like to see my young guns develop, hate to see them go, because of cap problems etc., but I think I should not be able to have even ten of those in my roster. It also decreases the need to shed salary, which should imo. be a part of this kind of game.

     

    Then again it's what's been allowing me to pay a lot to FA's I'd want to get them so not sure should I be complaining about it, lol :D

    The thing is, they don’t regress and have tons of experience.

    With this you dont need to think about using youngsters.

     

    I noticed former stars rather stay in FA for 2 seasons at the age of 38 dropping 20 points than hanging up their skates.

    So little selfrespect.

    I might also be wrong, but imo the change was made so that younger players have a "skillcap" and when surpassed their developement slows down a lot and also so that the older players would regress a bit slower(especially this I'm not so sure) and they wont come down Mt.Everest with a sled when they hit the age it happens.

     

    E: I also love it that there aren't 30+ GHL lvl players right from the draft.

    Hey guys,

     

    interesting situation happened. Because of my relegation I'm just breaking allowed cap by more than 2M. I can't assign players to affiliated team since most of them have 1w contracts. My question is what is going to happen if the situation will maintain till regular season starts?

    If you have contracts with 1y left I guess you could easily just ride it off, but if you want to make trades of any sort you have to get rid of that 2m at the same time or before you can do it and in one trade. You can't make two deals, which both would free 1m of your cap so it makes it a bit harder.

    If I were you I would probably just ride it off, since there's really no point in blowing up your team, because of a bug. Thought it was annoying for me to not be able to make any trades so if you can get rid of it with a deal that's not hampering your team too much I would definitely, at least, consider it

    All my goalies have decreased fit (in health) right now... even if they haven't played a single game so far (not since end of regular season 12).  I guess that's true for all the teams. Why is that?

    Atleast Strass has full green fit healthbar? Or what you mean

    Yeah new season is looming and I cant offer new contracts to any of my players. Says Im over cap yet I have only 4 players signed four the upcoming season.  I thought this was paused I have not even made my Draft choices and the draft has gone through. This Needs to Be stopped and backed up and fixed or I am going to have a 4 man team running in the red.

     

    You over it for this season? I had that prob when bug cause me to go over the cap and I had to ride it off before I could do anything.

    Cause they actually are free agents... I'm used to filter players at least 21yo, but it's in some way annoying...  ;)  

     

    ^^^^ Tho you could get lucky with a undrafted prospect, thought it gets more rare the higher you are. I personally miss the times when I could go to LIHL get some 47ovr young guns that no one wanted and ride with them till GHL.

    I have two pending contract offers, but my cap is the same as it was last evening before I offered them and it doesn't show them in the "Cap" box. But when I go to transfers -> contract offers they'r there and should take 6+m. Also if I propose contracts to them they say they'r thinking about the last offer.

    Idk if the estimation or whatever tool is wrong or what.

    Is it just me or are injuries more common now?

    Not necessarily a bad thing, as long as Kim has had bad luck and that's not going to be the norm :D, since imo they'v been pretty nonexistent. Granted haven't really checked other teams and it might also be that, because this is the first season I don't really have substitutes, due to me doing stuff before my brains can catch up, so now I "feel" them instead of just putting x to replace y without big downgrade.
