The very strange warmth of a welcoming, the painful reality of goodbye… Go Big and… Go Home??? We humans, are very strange creatures. Most of us seem to be wired to better deal with the allegedly warmth welcome of an actual stranger, instead of the goodbye from someone we’ve known all along. Oh, and by the way, hello to everyone. My name is Andrew Ray and it is my pleasure to be writing to all of you today. But as I do my welcoming bid – no need to applaud, you can all go back to your seats… Well, maybe just a few more seconds – the gloom and doom of the ever-hurtful goodbye is already in the air. And seriously speaking, it is kind of easy to relate to that pattern of behaviour that accepts the welcoming of the stranger, as it tries to run away from the goodbyes of those we know. I mean, it’s actually understandable. It is based on the always powerful nostalgia and the unwillingness of letting go of something or someone we deeply did not want to go away, versus the easiness of at least simply saying hello to something that while strange and new, may very well be a positive thing. Baseball Mogul 2020 offers a lot of features for experienced GM’s while keeping things simple for newer players as well. With all the attention that other game gets (hint: it’s an acronym), it’s easy to forget there are other sports sims out there; specifically, in the realm of baseball. Let’s be honest, with the Coronavirus pandemic keeping most of us home more than usual, we need as many entertainment options as possible to keep busy until life gets back to normal (whatever “normal” is). I first tried my hand at BM in 2010 and dabbled with it from time to time over the years. Baseball Mogul 2020 is a nice addition to the sports sim universe. A surprising basketball simulation that holds its own against the best in the business.In my first season coaching the Daytona Beach Wildcats, my season expectations were low. I was expected to win only 6 games and bow out ingloriously at the end of the season. I managed to win 7 games and blew out the #3 seed in my conference tournament before taking the inglorious bow that I was expected to all along. Seeing a glimmer of hope I rushed into recruiting season hoping to land a new guard that could help advance the team in the postseason.I was hooked.Campus Dynasty plays a lot like many other sports games on the market except that this game is a free app for Apple and Android. And it’s good. Like really good.I have to admit, when I picked this game up for the first time, I was hesitant. Many phone-based games just aren’t all that great or have some sort of paywall that prevents you from really getting good unless you buy into the game. This game surprises in that it is both a very solid simulation and it is completely free. There are no paywalls, no coins to buy and no gimmicks.
