  1. Congrats! You've done an amazing job!

The Colvilletown Legends are back in the GHL after 22 seasons! Went all in with some trades this season and it really paid out.

Has been a hell of ride since I took over the teams in the LIHL in season 20.

  2. I don't think it needs rephrasing or indeed exacerbating. I am making no accusations.

I only think that it's about time for the game to have a detailed and working guide so that all users - and especially new users - can have a chance to understand how the game works much earlier and in a fair way.

  3. The problem is not that some aspects of the game remain "mysterious", it's that members of the inner circle have access to this kind of information and use it for their own profit. Perhaps all this could and should be solved with a detailed  explanatory guide to the game that would be available to all users and in which more or less all keys to the game should be - in a way or another - accessible.

I understand that there are aspects of this game that you want to remain "mysterious" so that everyone has to come to their own conclusions, and there is no easy-button for newbies to push.

But if there were clear directions, that still wouldn't guarantee things, because its hard to keep good talent assembled for a great amount of time. And even if you knew what piece you needed to fit into the hole in your team, it doesn't mean that that piece will be available!

  4. Hi Haradrim!

For some reason those drafted in the 3rd round do not present problems.

  5. I meant the first overall draft pick in the draft. A 64 overall forward.....

Most likely a system error. It happened to me before. Sometimes if you add to your shortlist players, they do not get added to the back of your list but to the top. And if you do not check your draft preferences, you may have this surprise.

  6. Congratulations on the Cup!

It was well-deserved, although I had hopes I could sneak a win in Game 3. However I think I lost it in Game 1.

Good luck next season, let's hope it will spectacular for all of us!

    This is a great game.

Hey IneffableLeafs...that was remarkable how accurate you were with your predictions! We were very fortunate that your Finals prediction was just slightly off as it did come down to a game 3 that the Hooligans fell behind 2-0 early in the first period. Keep up the good work all! Great season, Hawkeye! Good luck with the draft, all!

  7. I started off in Lumber and played for a couple seasons- I guess gained enough experience to be able to get a GHL team directly in another game world.

For sure! I'm still trying to get a feel on my team but I'll shoot you a message if anything comes up.

    Welcome to Clapper!

I also think you inherit a good team with a lot of excellent prospects, but also with chances to fight right now for the Cup!

  8. P.S. Where does Zhou come from all of a sudden? (Swansea Mariners) ... and welcome of course!

Good question. I think he was in Fishbowl at some point (or was that Zhou I given that he goes by Zhou II?)

Personally I don't think users should be allowed to get straight to GHL, no matter how much experience they have. They should start like everybody else in the lower levels.

I am also surprised about your team not performing so far. I have also had a slow start, but - as you say - there is still a lot left. Who knows, may be you are trying to get the 1st pick. :)

  9. Four key players from my team got injured in the same game. Somehow I won the game 2-1, but what happened there? What were they playing? :)

It's gonna be tough now for a while till they get back.

  10. Thanks EXXEO :)

It's always exciting to play an evenly matched game.  Here's to a successful season for both our teams!

You both look improved for the new season. It's gonna be interesting, I just hope I can find a way to stay away from danger. :)

  11. This is something that is really getting on my nerves.

I'm 1st in the SHL currently, which is a very controversial spot.

I've literally been spammed with offers from about half of the GHL for my 1st round pick, because there is an 86 rated goalie propsect in the draft class, which I obviously want.

All I'm asking is that you can set your picks and prospects to be untouchable or on the trade block, because I've literally rejected like 15 offers in the last 10 days.

I personally think that nothing should be untouchable. Even more, I think players should be affected (get angry, for example) when the team refuses to trade them away, it would make the game more complex and interesting. At the limit there should be an untradeable option in their contracts IF they ask for it.

As for your own case, you should deal with it with patience or get the right price for the pick (you are not assured of getting the 1st pick, you might end up with the 4th!). It is pretty normal that users should offer a trade, but you do have the liberty to ignore them.

On the other hand I do think that draft picks of computer teams shouldn't be tradeable. A GHL player in Clapper (a veteran one) just served himself to the 1st drafts picks of both SHL teams that will get promoted in a blatant abuse of the system. There should be ways to prevent that.
