Free leagues will not play vs the paying leagues. Any free player has all the same advantages vs anyone else in their competition to win their league and the paid people will not have any advantage over the other players they will play to win their league.
It is literally just like a lite version vs a full version of a game. Not even close to pay to win.
Hi I just want to comment about the subscription. I think that the subscription idea is very good but me I am only 15 years old so I can't really pay the money for the subscription and I have already ask to my parents to pay for the All Star manager but they refuse. They don't want to spend money on video game. I really don't make this comment to ask for a free subscrption but Tobias and the moderators, you should give a reward to those that win for example 5 or 10 free hockey league championship to give them a life free subsrciption. It would be a good way for those who don't want or just can't put the money in it despite your REALLY REALLY BIG AND GOOD WORK on this game to have a subscription. SO manager will need to show there inflatuation to get this BIG rward by being very active and you will give a goal to free league manager. Becuase if you make a free hockey league with nothing at the end I am sure that you will loose a lot of human manager.
So in conclusion you should give managers who win FHL series and who are very active at free life subscription.
I do know what I would tell my kids if they asked me to pay for a monthly subscription to a game... likely the same thing they said to you. However maybe you could make them a deal to earn the 1.99 a month too? As a parent I am usually more giving to the kid willing to make a deal. Who knows it might work?
This is the type of situation that letting someone sponsor someone else would be really cool though like talked about before.
Maybe sponsor a team that won their free league. Advance them to the paid league for 1 free ( sponsored ) year.
I had been considering this. I want to take part in one of the free leagues as well as my other teams and be there to message new players and offer help along so why not give a little perk once in a while to a worthy person.
My biggest concern with the subscription is not the subscription, I understand the need for that to compensate for all the work put in and for the investment. My biggest concern is the price point as I think that is a pretty big ask on the amount.
I have been doing numbers in my head, and just knowing my situation I don't think I would be able to contribute that much I already give above asking for the All star but that is about my limit so I will need to chop at least 1 team, perhaps 2 as my dollar stinks right now compared to almost any currency.
If the price was lower you might make more money in the end with the added volume. I am sure you thought of all this before determining the price you wanted to set so won't go much deeper into it. I am just not confident it is at the right point that makes the most sense financially while keeping user levels to the point that it keeps it fun for people who would pay.
This has been this way for a while now I think and after the transfer window opens on day 77 to the roleover from day 77 to day 1 is when the inflated prices are there. I have just started waiting until season start to offer contracts.

Not trying to be a smartass, just think that it probably isn't happening as much as you think.
I find I have a bogey team in every league I play in that just always beats me. I put it up to tactics differences and the way the players play specific to the tactics chosen making it more difficult than it should look on paper.
Storage is an issue, people using pictures instead of actual mascot or badge likely would too but would give a bit more freedom to do what they like with their team. Likely would take a bit of doing as well. Just spitballing it out there
I don’t even really want an overall. I want a ranking and the stats they have for the league they are in and that is it.
My idea is based on time scouted. You could have a quick scout which takes 1 day and get a general feel for him. Maybe they will say his skating, puck handling and shooting would be exceptional for your league but he will always be lacking in defense. Then when you look at him you would see random ranges for each ability that would be -/+ 15 or even just the words as well as a potential generalization like rising star, promising etc.
Normal scout would take 2 days and give you attributes within a closer range like -/+ 10. If would give you a more accurate reading of his potential and maybe point some things out like he seemed to always find a open player or he excelled at the physical side of the game giving you better ideas of potential roles.
Final one is a deep scout. I still like margin for error so plus or minus 5 for attributes and includes an interview that would indicate mental abilities. Or heck maybe the interview stage could be something on a certain day in the off season where you select so many players you want to interview.
Of course if you deep scout everyone you won’t get as many reports and might miss someone but will have a good idea if he is a star. If you do smaller scouts you will have more data but less accurate. Adds more decisions in the game and makes the draft more lively. N
Now I have no idea what it would take to happen... but think it is something I would like to see.
Personally I think there should be a generalized overall. Then we need scouts in the game and the more time they scout certain players the more info you get. On my phone so not going to go full detail.... but think that would be a hell of a lot of fun
