  1. The following deal has been agreed upon CLE sends MR Pasqualino Carosi BAL sends 3B Taylor Green and CF Shane Thompson (A Delmarva) Carosi was somewhat of a disappointment last season, blowing multiple games for us down the stretch. We realise he still has potential to be really good but for what he is getting paid, I am not happy with the production. In return we get a 3B we have been after for a while in Green who, while not as good as he once was, is still a servicable backup 3B. Thompson is a guy my scout really likes and is good at multiple positions. Thanks Andy for the easy dealings despite my taking too long to get back to you
  2. The Indians and Dodgers have agreed on another small deal CLE sends RF Bo Greenwell (ML) LAD sends LF Carl Millikan (R Ogden) Pretty straightforward. We do this to clear a 40 man spot as we forgot to put Bo Greenwell up for auction Thanks Sam for another easy deal
  3. The following deal has been agreed upon CLE sends SP Ricky Nolasco (AAA Columbus) LAD sends 1B Paul Adams (R Ogden) Nolasco is someone who, for me, is just filling out a rotation and not much else. The opportunity arose to turn him into a prospect that my scout likes quite a bit so I took it. Thanks Sam for the easy deal!
  4. The following deal has been agreed upon CLE sends SP Zack Greinke, RP Dan Schlereth & SS Carlos Martinez (A Lake County) ATL sends SP Steve Graham, 3B Miguel Andujar (AAA), RF Jorge Ayala (AA) & 2B Roger McAfee (A Carolina) Greinke was excellent for us last season and probably could've gotten me more had I waited a bit before dealing him but I had no plans on extending him past this season as he will be 34 and wanted a 7 year extension so figured I'll strike now. We get a guy in Andujar who fills a position where I have had a bit of a revolving door since the start of MLB Pro. Ayala is also someone who I have tried to get from STL previously and my scout thinks he will be a star as well. McAfee and Graham are decent pieces who will contribute as well but the main piece for me was definitely Andujar. Best of luck Brenton. Always a pleasure!
  5. The following trade has been agreed upon but I'll probably regret it CLE sends 2B Danny Espinosa & the corpse of SP James Shields MIN sends C Kelvin Mena (AAA), RF Cade Cahill (AAA), RF Shojiro Koike (AA), SP Bartolo Medina (AA), SS William Hawkinson (AA), SP Kadir Hashim (A Fort Myers) & SP Josh Tomlin This was the hardest trade for me to pull the trigger on in MLB Pro history. Espinosa went from a guy I got for some shitty MR to arguably the best 2B in the league. But Cleveland have decided to go in a different direction and Espinosa was our best asset so it had to be done. Not only do we get a bunch of specs that my scout loves and a solid backend rotation piece on a cheap contract, we rid ourselves of the waste of space known as "No Game James" Shields. That'll save us $50m. I'm worried because for once, Rocky was very easy to negotiate with... Thanks Rock. I hope this doesn't bite me in the ass...
  6. We accept. With our semi-rebuild underway, we need guys on short, cheap contracts who can potentially perform. Yamasaki fits the bill and is cheaper than anyone I'd get in FA. Contreras was going nowhere here so made sense to move him. Thanks Hodges. Always a pleasure
  7. The rebuild in Cleveland has started and the following deal has been agreed upon CLE sends SP Mike Minor (ML) & CL Craig Kimbrel (ML) COL sends SP Hudson Boyd (ML), SS Carlos Martinez (A Asheville), 3B Alonso Martinez (A Asheville), 2B Russell Wilson (A Modesto), C Chris Betts (S A) & SP Danny William (A Modesto) After missing the playoffs the last three seasons, we have decided to clear some salary and push the reset button a bit. Mike Minor is the first to go and he will be missed, as will Kimbrel. We get back three players that my scout thinks will be absolute beasts in C. Martinez, Betts and Boyd plus two guys in A. Martinez and William who my scout likes and could end up as decent role players and then Russell Wilson because, well because he is Russell Wilson. He will provide good minor league depth. I thank Ryan for his patience as I was quite slow at responding at first and for the smooth negotiations. Best of luck to the Rockies
  8. The following trade has been agreed upon Cleveland sends C Colin Hines (AAA), 1B Rory Rhodes (AAA), RP Austin Platt (AA), SP Aaron Smith (S A) and OF Darby Jarrom (S A) San Diego sends C Jake Jefferies (ML) & 1B Thomas Field (ML) As I have said, our offense stinks. Now, we get two guys who are great offensively. Sure, they aren't the greatest defensively but I am sure my bench coach can work with them. Jefferies will replace Montero who won't be back next season and Field will be good insurance if LoMo and/or Encarnacion don't come back. We liked all the specs we gave up but we feel the return is solid Thanks Sean for the very quick and easy deal and best of luck!
  9. We accept. Our offense has struggled all season and one of the big problems has been strikeouts. EE has been solid for Chicago all season and walks nearly as much as he Ks and we hope he is the piece that lets our offense figure it out finally Thanks Hodges. Always a pleasure
  10. The following trade has been agreed upon Cleveland sends RF Miguel Velazquez Cincinnati sends CF Cameron Maybin, 1B Don Winston (AAA) and SP Rod Swift (A Dayton) We acquired Velazquez earlier this season to help our sagging offense. While his numbers have been great (he still leads the league in homers), the rest of my teams numbers have dropped and we feel that maybe his attitude is what is causing it. Maybin is a player I have wanted for about three seasons now. He has excellent defense, speed and leadership and hopefully his bat will come around as well. My scout thinks Don Winston has HOF potential and while I may feel that could be a reach, it is hard to ignore a comment like tjhat. Swift is a guy we think could end up being a solid reliever. Thanks Scott for the quick and easy negotiations and hopefully Miguel isn't a dick for you
  11. We accept. Street is an excellent pen guy and will be missed but we have young guys in AAA that are blocked and Street was the best guy to move in terms of return. Kozma is a very good defensive middle IF who won't strike out much and will be an improvement over the ever-slumping Cabrera. Ken Gary is someone who we think could end up being a very good bullpen guy. Catcher is our weakest position throughout our system and Klingensmith shows good promise and at only 23 has a good chance of getting better Thanks again Brookman. Always a pleasure
  12. The following deal has been agreed upon Cleveland sends SP Joel Bender (AA) & 3B Victor Adams ® Minnesota sends C Tim Federowicz (AAA), 3B Juan Ordonez (A Fort Meyers) & SS Josh Gray (R Fort Meyers) We need an insurance policy at Catcher for if we can't afford to resign Montero and Federowicz is someone we like quite a lot. He is decent with the bat, solid defensively and also an excellent locker room presence (very high leadership and work ethic, low greed.) We give up Bender, a guy we like but at the same time is already 24 and doesn't really look big league ready. We just drafted Victor Adams and he could go either way as he is still young but now that i traded him, he will probably become a stud. My scout really likes Gray and Ordonez is someone with nice potential ratings but could also go either way. Thanks Rocky
  13. We accept. We made a move for Waino after being destroyed by injuries which we still feel cost us the division and we readily admit in hindsight, it wasn't a good idea. We decided to dump him while we could. Smith is a nice player but somewhat limited defensively as is Tanaka Thanks Brett
  14. The following deal has been agreed upon Cleveland sends SP Lance Lynn (AAA) & RP Eric O'Flaherty (AAA) Texas sends 1B Logan Morrison (ML) We are desperate for consistent offensive production and LoMo was one of the guys we had shortlisted. We are predicting his HR numbers to drop after leaving Texas but should still give our sagging offense a much-needed boost. Lynn and O'Flaherty had both fallen out of favour and were expendable. Thanks to the Texas GM for the easy negotiations
  15. The following deal has been agreed upon Cleveland sends C/1B Jobduan Morales (AA) Atlanta sends SS Didi Gregorius (DFA) We just lost backup IF Cesar Hernandez for the season and Didi is someone we kinda like so figured we would try and swing a waiver deal for him. Morales is someone I like but he's blocked by a couple of other players Thanks Brenton. Always a pleasure good sir
  16. We accept this trade. Our offense is truly Terrible and while Konerko won't bring us 100 rbis, he still provides consistent offensive production but not only that, leadership which we need with resident troublemaker Miguel Velasquez. My scout likes Gonzalez but we just found him in FA so no big loss, or that's what I'll tell myself when he turns into an all-star. Thanks Soze. Muchos Gracias
  17. Cleveland accepts. We're taking a big chance on Velazquez here but our offense is struggling mightily and he might give it the boost that it needs. I really like Gallegos but his ceiling is probably back-end rotation guy and Groves has great control but not much else. Thanks Jason for the easy talks
  18. We accept. Aleman was buried in our AA team and we don't really have anywhere for him to play in other leagues either. We will get more use out of an SP that my scout sorta likes Thanks for the deal Matt
  19. We accept this trade. 3B is one of our more shallow positions and Baez definitely will get an opportunity with us. We like Perez but felt we were getting an upgrade. Thanks Hodges. Always a pleasure
  20. We needed a solid RH 1B and had a surplus in the bullpen. Pestano goes as he wasn't going to be resigned at seasons end anyway and we get a guy we like a lot in ABW and an upgrade at catcher for a season. Qing is also a solid defensive utility and they're always nice This is the part where I would thank the other party but it's rocky so he can go fornicate with a cactus
  21. We accept the deal. Goldschmidt fell out of favour last season after striking out in many a clutch situation and found himself buried in AAA and would've been there this season as well. Jabs described the three specs perfectly. Should be big leaguers but prob won't be stars but I'm ok with that for someone who I didn't plan on using at all. Thanks Jabs
  22. We really like Carosi and wanted to strengthen our pitching even more. Carosi won't need to close as we have Kimbrel holding it down so there will be no pressure on him and he can just come in and do his thing. I really like Donnie Webb but I have a lot of OFs and Webb refused to resign with us due to our manager so figured it was best to move him now. Webster and Villanueva are pieces I like but were ultimately expendable. Thanks to Sean for the quick negotiations
  23. Not sure why this posted twice...sorry :-/
  24. The following trade has been agreed upon Cleveland sends SS Javier Espinoza (A Lake County), C Stryker Trahan (AA), C Bruce MacOull (S A), SP Juan Ramos (A Lake County) and OF Rich G Baker (S A) Houston sends SP John Lamb and SP Jeanmar Gomez We continue to add pitching depth at the cost of a few specs with little shot of doing anything in the bigs. Lamb could be a very good bullpen arm/emergency starter and i've always liked Jeanmar, hence his third stint in Cleveland. Thanks to Matthew for the very quick, very easy negotiations and good luck with my specs.
