Tips for Football GM

Hey guys, I've been playing Football GM for a while now, started multiple leagues, tried different tactics/approaches each time, but I still need to learn.

My current league is the most successful right now, with a finish between 11-5 and 6-10 after each season, rarely worse than 6-10. Made it to the playoffs every 2nd or 3rd season, but never made it to the conference finals. Can someone give me some advice, how to be better, how to make it to the playoffs each year and win league championship? In my league Arizona is the most successful, they won the league 3 times and were runner-ups 2 times in 26 seasons.
