  1. I have read the new post now. I agree totally with what Anders is doing and i hope the game continues to grow. However in RL now i cant pay to play, what hes asking for is not exorbitant, and i know it does not start until after next season but its just not something i can do. So with that said i am going to cease playing at the end of this season and will trade off any players over the next couple days.

I know most people will want Smetana but i have offered him to a manager already and heres why. Last season whilst in the SHL  i got a trade with the Minutemen for my 1st round pick but if i promoted they would trade it back for my 2nd. They kept their word even when i offered to let them keep it. Other managers have asked if i would trade him and i have said no, and if i was staying in the game i still wouldnt.

Thank you to all the managers i have recieved help from and good luck to all of you going forward in the game and RL.

  2. I think the solution might be to have GHL/SHL (at least) full of active teams with no room for CPU teams that people can take advantage of.

If you increase value of draft picks, it will make trades between humans more complicated as you would have to fill the trade bar somehow to get a pick from someone.

Try to get some friends here and fill your leagues with active managers, then we do not have to take gentleman agreements or ask Anders to change the rules.

The only other solution is to lock CPU trades (CPU teams and users on vacation) to only other CPU teams - that still makes possible for CPU to trade if the team is in bad shape (a lot of injuries etc.), but prevent of exploiting them by humans.

In another online management game all CPU teams drop down from league they are in at season end and are replaced by next highest active team from lower league. This way there should be more active teams in the higher leagues.

  3. Is adding more statistics to the game in the pipeline for improvements? I believe we have a good set of base stats available, but it's rather hard to fully analyze a players performance. For example, if I want to know if a player played well defensively all I can go off of is +/- and taking a shot in the dark at guessing what the performance number could mean. A good starting point would be adding a stat like corsi (shots for minus shots against while player is on the ice). Managers would get a good indication of a players puck possession.

Anyways just me nit picking, keep up the good work Anders.

  4. Related, it would be nice if you could message a manager from their Team Page (under Action) instead of filtering through all managers :)

    Another +1  :)
