The Expos are Back (OOTP14 story)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys i thought i would give this a try so I am going to do a story mode of OOPT14 as my expansion team as I will be playing as the Montreal Expos and the other expansion team is Seattle Pilots. We decided to put Seattle Pilots in the NL Central because Milwaukee Brewers used to bethe Seattle Pilots before. Montreal used to be in NL Central but because it would make uneven team I put the Expos in the AL East to rival with the Toronto Blue Jays.

How the expansion Team draft will work, each team can protect 40 players, they can only auto protect players with less than 3 yrs pro career and No limit of players picked from a single team

We also disabled allow trading with other major leagues. Scout Accuracy is set for 100%. Scouting reports will be monthly during the season.

March 2013

March 30th

For the Montreal Expos it’s time for a change. That change came today, when the team announced Rick Stevens has just inked a deal to become their new General Manager. Only time will tell what impact this will have on the franchise.

My development clubs consist of:

Madison Snarlers (IL) – AAA

Hialeah Puffins (EL) – AA

Golden Lakes Grey Owls (CAL) – A

West Sand Lake Pioneers (NYP) – Short A

Floresville Brooks (APP) – Rookie League (Rookie 1)

Gilberts Punishers (APP) – Rookie League (Rookie 2)

Our budget will be set for 122,400,000

We have fired all of our staff. We have named Theo Epstein as our scouting director. He will be running our drafts both amateur and expansion draft.

What made me pick Mark was his Legendary in amateur scouting, outstanding scouting in international and minor and then major leagues excellent outstanding scouting in minor leagues and amateurs and then excellent scouting in major leagues and international.

Our owner has decided that the goal for the coming season, after evaluating several factors, I have come to the conclusion that you should atleast try to stay close to an even record.

Our scouting budget is set for 20 % Majors, 20 % Minors and 30 % in Amateur and international scouting

Before the expansion draft we fired all of our staff and have hired all of the following:

Montreal Expos (MLB):

Manager: Joe Torre

Bench Coach: Bobby Cox

Hitting Coach: Ivan Avila

Pitching Coach: Dave Duncan

Trainer: Eulogio Frois

Madison Snarles (AAA)

Mike Hargrove – Manager

Pitching Coach: Scott Radinsky

Hitting Coach: Carney Lansford

Hialeah Puffins (AA)

Manager: Gene Tenace

Pitching Coach – Dave Wallace

Hitting Coach: Greg Ritchie

Golden Lakes Grey Owls (A):

Manager: Willie Randolph

Pitching Coach: Ariel Prieto

Hitting Coach: Kevin Seitzer

West Sand Lake Pioneers (Short Season)

Manager: Roosevelt Brown

Pitching Coach: Tim Belcher

Hitting Coach: Mike Barnett

Floresville Brooks (Rookie 1)

Manager: A.J. Hinch

Pitching Coach: Dewey Robinson

Hitting Coach: Paul Sorrento

Gilberts Punishers (Rookie 2)

Manager: John Hart

Pitching Coach: Mitch Williams

Hitting Coach: Hal McRae

As an expansion team that should hopefully be possible.

With the growing popularity of the Major League, the league has decided to expand into more marks. Today the new teams will have a chance to begin stocking their rosters. The current teams of the ML have already filled out their protection lists, leaving the Montreal Expos and Seattle Pilots a large selection of unprotected players from which to choose from

Our scouting director will be running our expansion draft

We will be picking 1st overall in each round and Seattle Pilots will be drafting 2nd overall. There will be 35 rounds for the draft

Expansion draft:

The way our draft will work is our 40 prospects we take from the draft will play in the rookie league for 1 full yr. If we feel like they are ready then the following season they will move up to Short A for a season and then move up to A the following season so by the age of 25-26 they should be up in the major leagues.

We have removed Taylor Green off DL and sent him down to AAA for some conditioning
