LIHL, I'm looking for draft picks, my roster is open for picking right now.

I've hit quite a few up and down moments with my team. I was once first in the East in the SHL, but after losing the last 7 of 9 games, I'm hanging onto a playoff position. I'm not entirely sure why the team is failing so badly, I was hoping to reach the GHL for the first time ever, but maybe not. I may have made a mistake by trading my 1st and 3rd draft picks away if the result of the players I received is so inconsistent, but that's the risk we take I guess.

I need a goalie suitable for SHL. I have a 2nd round pick that is up for grabs, as well as prospects, or other roster players depending on the offer

Not sure if this should be posted in Howitzer but I thought this would be a good time to say hi to everyone. I'm in the SHL Eastern conference and I'm beyond excited to start from scratch and see where I can take my team.

I'm having an error message when trying to assign players or put them on waivers.

I thought players would want more money per year the longer the contract

So I'm entering my 2nd season in the SHL and players want 2 sometimes 3 more than similar players on existing teams. How am I expected to compete when an 82ovr player costs me 800k. I can't even fill out my team, meanwhile other teams who are close to me in the standings have 85s for 200k on like 5 year contracts? This isn't a new issue either, every league I've struggled with this

So I played against a team in the BHL (4th and 5th seed) and during the season I went 3-1 against them and won pretty handedly in the ones I won. Now I face them in the playoffs and get absolutely spanked for no reason 3 games in a row. Any reason or just bad luck?

Yes I did! And I'm top 5 in the IHL already. Thank you so much, everyone with their advice on this post. You helped me find my own strategy and realize Ovechkin shouldn't be on the PK lol.

Do I lose this player if he signs with this cpu team? (I just realized it's a cpu team)

I thought that when you drafted a player, that you owned the rights till their 21, regardless of if you sign them or not. I just now had a player get offered a contract from another team that I drafted this very last draft. He's 18. I thought you couldn't do this

So I have a 72ovr sniper Menmuir - 35yrs old, left handed, under contract for 1 year at 40k. Judge is a 2way player, very defensively minded and responsible player, 69ovr, 36 years old, cheap 1 year 18k contract. Twilley is a 36yr old two-way player. 69ovr. 1 year at 28k. Then Yegorov. I've had this guy for sometime but he's never fit into my system. He's only 23, 68ovr and actively going up in overall too. Playmaker, very good traits, 30k for 2 years. Lastly dolman is a sniper center who's decent at face offs, he's the only player on this list who is currently in my lineup. He performed very well in the lihl with the limited role I used him at. 17k 2 more years. Lastly there is Rybak the goalie. He's short as shit but 70ovr and has performed well for me so far. He is my third string goalie so I'd rather see him play somewhere else. 77k contract for 1 year. With all of these, returns I'm looking for draft picks, a 4th line center with good face offs, and defensive abilities, and checking. But as of right now, I'm not looking for much, I need to play a few games and see where the weaknesses are.
