Just thought I'd post a thread for the 2014 combine and draft. As a Dolphins fan, I think Miami need to draft an OL in the first round and it's the first time for a few years they don't need to draft a QB in the first couple of rounds. The first overall pick is also pretty interesting, the Texans are apparently open to "all options": http://nfl.si.com/2014/02/21/houston-texans-no-1-pick-2014-nfl-draft/ I can see them going with Manziel myself.

I'll be interested to see exactly how the graphics system looks. Obviously for a first attempt there are probably going to be bugs in it, but it has potential. I get annoyed sometimes with the doomsayers on the OOTP forums who say that adding graphics is going to cause the game to "implode". FM didn't implode when it added graphics, even 3D graphics. Nor does it attempt to compete with FIFA, so why would OOTP either implode or attempt to compete with MLB: The Show?

NFL 2k5 is still the standard for Football games, full stop. 2k8 wasn't bad, but the engine wasn't quite as good as 2k5's.

I've played some of the International Cricket Captain series, not the most recent ones though.

I think some of the problem in getting a football game to work well is trying to work out how to generate play results from player ratings.
