ET2018 got a reaction from Steve in Cage trash talk
Yeah, I would prefer if players didn't raid CPU teams.
CPU trades should be disabled entirely.

Hopefully we don't have any more dodgy activites like this once the trial period ends.

ET2018 got a reaction from MattBerserkers in national teams
It could be done like another management game I play. In this regard, only managers that subscribe to the Patreon might be able to manage, and all international games have zero impact on fitness and don't carry a risk of injury. Either that, or the off-season is expanded to allow for international games.

ET2018 got a reaction from Jack Reacher in national teams
I would like to see national teams implemented as well, and I think thre's several ways to go about that. Definitely something that would make things more exciting.

Yeah, if it's a free for all, people will definitely choose to upload questionable images. I'm sure someone will use a Nazi symbol or a Pepe frog for shock value.

ET2018 got a reaction from flowbish1 in Draft class presentation
That's a bit mor realistic and grounded I think, and in line with the original intent of the GHL being based around 80- 85 overall players before the ratings glitch caused massive inflation.

ET2018 got a reaction from Jack Reacher in String of continuous injuries
What exactly causes a string of continuous injuries to your team? I've never had it this bad before. Nearly every game I get some sort of injury. Including tonight where I had two injuries, one of them being major. My team is mostly old, but that hasn't caused injuries this consistent before, and they are all solid GHL players, so their endurance is high. I've tried reducing training to easy/medium for most, with easy going to the older guys, but that hasn't really settled down anything. I almost want to say this is some sort of strange bug or something. I recently switched the training levels down, so maybe it takes a while for training effects to settle in? Seems weird though.

ET2018 got a reaction from Jacob Girouard in Serial cheater in Lumber
Soo...it looks like someone is waging a war against Gameplan Hockey as multiple accounts keep invading Lumber, mostly in the BHL and SHL. I keep reporting these accounts to Tobias, but I figured I would make a post here as well so others are aware. Currently, there are multiple accounts owned by a "Jacob Girouard" and a "Matt Wells" and these accounts constantly do trades to favor a single account. I have a strong suspicion that this is the work of Adam Svennson/Adam Gunderson, as he has previously caused problems (there are multiple threads about this guy). Please do not hesitate to report these accounts for cheating!

ET2018 reacted to Steve in Player salaries & cap (bug?)
Agreed, I just resigned my top defenseman for the third straight year to a one year contract for less money than the previous contract and he is probably his prime.
Also, my 93ovr goalie is willing to take a 50% cut to stay on my team after I benched him half way through the season for having his worst season out of five. His ovr hasn't changed and he is 37, but he is asking for less than my 27 year old AAHL starter.....
The cap is too damn high! Haha, but I do think lowering it would create a positive cascading effect where all these FULL lineups of 90+ovr teams would have to let players go, and more of the mid 80 players would need to be used at the GHL or made available for SHL.

ET2018 reacted to Steve in S14 General Chat
This makes sense because Anders greatly modified the draft settings about 1-2 seasons back, so no more mutant draftees that are better than current starters.
This is why I'm considering moving down a couple leagues or so and hoping the North American style league will come online soon because with so many amazing players around for literally the next 3-4 years, it makes the GHL level less interesting as a hockey simulation when these outliers are part of the formula. It's starting to feel a lot like the KHL; a handful of teams with All-Stars and everyone else. Granted, by now we ALL have All-Stars, so maybe it feels more like the Olympics; Canada, US, Russia, Finland or Sweden, and the occasional other team every so often. Honestly, this isn't a complaint against the good and consistently good teams in our league. They ARE good managers, but the bad data in the roster data makes for a less than ideal playing environment.

ET2018 reacted to Erzac in S14 General Chat
Another annoying result from the bloated overalls is that players are an indistinguishable mass.
As 99 marks the best of the best, currently in Biscuit GHL there are:
24 world fastest skaters,
11 world best passers,
14 world best shooters etc.
And if you'd think ~95 is "elite" in a category, then basically any player on any given team is "elite" in something. Which shouldn't be the case obviously.

ET2018 reacted to Jezzé Bibz in Minor change to the GHL playoff format
Not a bad idea but imo it would be nice to have a second round also determined by standings, like the highest placed team faces the lowest placed team. That way, if 1st, 5th, 6th and 7th win, 1st will take on 7th and 5th will take 6th. I think it would be more representative of the work done in the season to be among the top 4 teams.

ET2018 reacted to MattBerserkers in Minor change to the GHL playoff format
Currently in the GHL, the playoff structure looks like:
Series A: Rank 1 vs Rank 8
Series B: Rank 2 vs Rank 7
Series C: Rank 3 vs Rank 6
Series D: Rank 4 vs Rank 5
Series E: Winner A vs Winner B
Series F: Winner C vs Winner D
Final: Winner E vs Winner F
The current path ensures that there will never be the top 2 teams fighting it out in the finals. It also makes it so that the teams rank 4th and 5th have the highest chance at getting the easiest path to the cup. And since the 5th place team is also entered into a better playoff lottery compared to the top 4 teams, it makes it the ideal position from a purely playoffs and potential future success standpoint. My suggestion is to simply change the following series:
Series E: Winner A vs Winner D
Series F: Winner C vs Winner B

ET2018 got a reaction from ColoKrabatt in Questionable trades...
This appears to be an ongoing issue in Lumber. Managers need to start stepping up and reporting others for abusing CPU teams in trades. It's really starting to get annoying.
This is not acceptable -
Terrace Hornets: A 97 overall (33 years old, top line center)A 94 overall (28 years old, second line forward) CPU team (Falconbridge Valley Dogs) A 84 overall (useless in GHL)A 79 overall (useless in GHL)Two 3rd round picks (nearly useless)A 1st round pick (only balanced thing in this trade) -
ET2018 reacted to ColoKrabatt in Inbox
Hi, I have a little suggestion about inbox. There could be sections and option to delete in bulk, for clearer arrangement.
I thought about at least three:
game results injuries/recovery/contract dealing/waivering/scouting personal messages
I think I'm not the onlyone who sometimes finds himself lost in the flood of messages...

ET2018 got a reaction from ColoKrabatt in Adding more tactics?
Are there any plans to add more tactics to the game? The current four appear to be ordered from simplest to more complex, and with the game engine, the first two don't seem to be very used often...at least in my game world. Puck possession and transition rush seem to dominate.
I'm thinking of something like the EA NHL series or Hockey Franchise Manager where there are more diverse systems/tactics to choose from. For example, on offense - Behind the net, Tarasov system, Triangle, hound the puck, Brooks system, etc...or on defense - 1-3-1, 1-2-2 red, 1-2-2 blue, and so on.
I think having more diverse tactics to choose from would make tactics and strategy more challenging and flexible for game worlds.

I think the claim has disappeared. Should be fine now

ET2018 got a reaction from Jack Reacher in Teams to undercut your waiver claims (fixing the waiver process).
If you lay a claim on a CPU player placed on waivers, other teams shouldn't be able to undercut you by trading for him. This is a dirty tactic and is disrespectful of what should be a fair process in the game (waivers). There's currently a manager in Lumber that is trying to do this, and I find it blatantly disrespectful and pretty insulting. The ability to trade for waivered players should be removed if someone has a claim on him, especially if they are on a CPU team. This would make things a lot more fair and make things a lot harder for game-obsessed managers looking to undercut other players with unfair game tactics.
