Oh, that was cool, i knew you meant not harm! And using rookies is temporary, i know that'll have to add some good and better veterans later on, you know, once in the SHL. Cheers!

I understand your point and what you are trying to explain, but i feel different about how i run my team. I prefer to keep most of my roster from season to season, jut adding a few FA to plug holes, i don't like re-vamping. I got promoted twice in four years, (1st in league each time), and i already have taken steps to prepare my team. I didn't feel that the draft would provide me good prospect, for my team, even if i finished 1st BHL. So i went and traded all my picks from this year to get other prospects that i wanted. Also the last 2 draft have been productive for me, and now i have a bunch of great youngster with potential to play SHL, and all the veteran ready for next year BHL. Then, i should (hopefully) get to the SHL with some upswing left from those youngster having gained experience. I feel that if i promote this year, i'll have to get a bunch of FA, and won't be able to play the young guns, and their potential will really be hampered. We'll see, but for now, i'm sticking to my plan, young guns playing (5) and who knows, maybe i'll get promoted anyway! I have a group of older guys available for trades Fred Longpré Riversdale Heroes

Currently 2nd in the BHL, and i feel like my team won't be ready for SHL. I'll be playing my yougster from now on, so i have 2 top veteran forward available for trade, also some older D are available. Looking for 25-30 years old playing at the same position, if possible. Riversdale Heroes
  5. The Riversdale Heroes are putting their draft picks on the trade block. They also have a bunch of players on the trade block, and could be willing to move some others like players over 30-32 years old. In need of prospect on the D. Prospect, not Suspect please.
  6. Please Anders, just put a maximum number of players/contract for each team. Something between 40-50 would really help with this hoarding, and would make it more realistic. As for those who would have more than the limit when being set, they could still continue with all the players they still have, yet wouldn't be able to sign any player until they dropped under the limit.
  7. Good luck for the playoff, and if not, have a good offseason. Rebuild, strenghten and get better!
  8. Seaon 23 is taking time to follow through on day 67. Is this related?
  9. Yes! With 10 games left, i can't finish any lower than 2nd. For the first time in the franchise history, we're going to the BHL! Woot!*
  10. Yep, look at those T-Birds now!
  11. RIVERSDALE'S FLOWING NEWS V.Masharin lasches at management. After yesterday's shocking trade of long time hopeful and first overall draftee of current ownership FWD Valerei Masharin, he had a lot to get off his chest. "They always prefer french-canadian or north american in this team, never russian. Me never got the chance to play my style, it was always go-go hit the players, dump the puck." Team representant and PR director, Pierre-Luc Desgranges told the media that "We always want players with character that can skate. We thought at the time that he would evolve into that kind of player, but obviously we had other elements in our locker room that were better suited for the job to do, and wish him good luck" Valerei Masharin was traded to the IHL Southside Spartans, along the IHL 1st round pick obtained from the New Haven Colonel, which will certainly become an IIHL 1st round, given that team's IHL ranking. The Riversdale T-Birds received in that trade the Spartans's IHL 1st round pick. With the earlier trade from the Skyline in the pre-season, they now own 2 first round pick from the 4 teams that now sit in contention for playoffs in the IHL,and that with 13 games to play. Should one or both these teams make it to the BHL, the T-Birds would be very happy for this year draft.Along with their own IHL 1st round pick becoming a BHL one, they could have up to 3 players chosen in that BHL 1st round. That would certainly help them down the road, should they choose wisely.
  12. RIVERSDALE'S FLOWING NEWS Goldminer's ex-fans angry! The imminent promotion of the recently re-located Riversdale T-Birds, the city's IHL team, hasn't just made the team's new fan base happy, it has also left fans and the community in Boykin devastated. The Boykin town hall had just approved new plans for the city arena, including updates to the press room and some new seating area and lounge, but the team owners and the BHL didn't think it would be enough for a team of that caliber. "We're so @#$%¥₩%$##" declared the official fan club, people who, for the last five years or so,had grown attached to some of the players, including Labrie, Shane 'E'Leven, Mocka and even (then and still) young hopeful now in the AHL3, V.Masharin. They will also never forget defensive player M.Lesperance. "His name means hope in french, and that's what he gave us, as fans" declared long time fan JC Misere. "They all left in a hurry, for this new building, and league, even the farm teams. We're only left with a junior team (Boykin Batmen), and this old and soon to be improved city arena" declared city official Bill Waltzmen in reaction to the events. The Riversdale T-Birds are 1st in the IHL, 36-2-1-5 with 16 games left to play, holding a 29 points advance over 3rd place.
  13. Just a question: How long in advance do you look for next year/free agency/draft? I'd say abouy 1/3rd into the season, i'm usually ready/set for the next year.
  14. Day 26 schedule in IHL. 1st-2nd 3rd-4th 5th-6th 7th-10th 8th-12th 9th-13th 11th-14th And...15th-16th!
  15. I'm all up for it, great idea. Like mentionned above, somewhere between 40-45 would be good, in my opinion.
  16. I also noticed (i don't know if it is related) that one of my player went from 4 to 2 years left in his contract. Gameworld Clapper, Boykin Goldmine and this my goalie, Muryavyov.
  17. @InnefableLeafs I understand your point, but since it was my first year in IHL post-promotion, i felt i had to settle my roster, to be ready to take the next step, not just jump to the next level and have roster issues all over the place. In that regard actually, i think i did quite well. I just had a great draft, and i feel this team has a more valid shot at promotion.
  18. I don't want to win no more, since i know i would get destroyed in BHL next year. But even after trading/benching my players that i won't use next year (great players btw) AND putting in prospects/replacements guys, i keep on winning and performing well. Sad.
  19. Woot!! My team can't finish any lower than 2nd, looking forward to promotion in the IHL! 8 games go and then free agency/draft, the best part of the year!
  20. I eventually finished with 14 games in to OT, good for 7-7 in that category. My hot new recruit got hurt for 21 games in the first game of the season, and somehow i had 17 games out of 63 with a 6-5 or 5-6 score (many in OT/SO). Is it the norm in IIHL?
  21. 10 games played, 6 went to OT (2 more than all of last season) and lost 5 of them!
  22. Hi! I've used to play EHM but i was looking for something online, and i must say whoever is behind this game deserves to be appraised! So, i've been the manager of the Boykin Goldmines for the past 3 weeks or so, and it has been a blast. My team was 9-0-0-6 when i took control, and i wanted it to stay that way. Now, heading in the playoffs, i'm 36-3-1-20 and had a wonderful second half of the year. I think i'm ready for the draft, the part i've looking up to the most, and if i stay in IIHL next year, i think i'll have a very strong team. Cheers! Fred
