The draft aspect of this game is very agitating, for me at least.

I had the 33rd overall pick in the draft acquired from winning the BHL title and the prospects I wanted, went wayyy too high in the draft.

Prospect #1 has phenomenal growth, and finished ranked 35th, a good range for a possible pick. This player goes 13th, skipping 22 players in rank.

Prospect #2 has a fantastic overall, and would make for a perfect SHL backup goalie, though the growth was low. He is ranked 49th, so I'm like, for sure I'm getting this guy if I don't get prospect #1. He goes 14th, skipping 35 prospects in rank.

    So what I'm suggesting is:

Hide all prospect overalls, ratings, and growth; but leave their stats, meaning goals assists, etc. As well as their prospect rankings, obviously.

This will do many things for GPHM:

    1. Reduce the amount of late round gems to a reasonable level, such as 3-5 per draft.

    2. It will help teams develop into solid teams that can actually go into the GHL and not get relegated first season, because from what it seems like, in Game World Fishbowl at least, most of the managers have only been in the GHL since they started playing, and none have really remained that started in one of the lower leagues. Further, I'll give credit that they all have very strong cores, but they are also essentially reducing the entire world to a 8 team show. These teams are so good and have been around for 3+ seasons (I've played 3 seasons in Fishbowl) that I have memorized all those names. So essentially, hiding prospect ratings could allow for better competition. When I was in the BHL, I'll be honest, I looked for decent prospects to poach that were actually promising, I only found one, and it was on a team that was relegated from the SHL to the IHL in 2 seasons.

    3. It will reduce non GHL manager's frustration (like mine) that I can't even build a team through the draft because the high growth and high overall players are gone.

    4. It will force teams to scout and draft at their own level. Ex. SHL teams will focus on the rounds they are drafting, where they have the highest chance of landing their pick. Not where GHL or BHL teams are drafting.

    5. It will provide realism. In real life, no GM can put ratings on a player, they roughly judge how good THEY think the player would be. Ex. Columbus clearly thought Pierre-Luc Dubois was better than Jesse Puljujarvi, but many other teams felt the Finnish right winger was the 3rd best prospect (See 2016 NHL Draft).

    6. It would introduce a whole new feature and selling point into the game. The draft class would no longer be obvious to look at and see who's good. Using the draft class, teams would be able to create their own draft classes from research and scouting. Good scouts would benefit more than poor scouts, just by looking at stats.

    7. It may prevent cheating. From my experience, 90 percent of human to computer trades involve a computer prospect or picks. If prospects have all their juicy information hidden (growth and attributes), teams will be more reluctant to acquire computer picks as they may not scout the right players for the pick to work. Human teams will say: "Okay, I'm going to scout players between the ranks of x and y, if I find a prospect that's good that I can't get, I will attempt to acquire a pick." Or, "I don't see any prospects of value, I'm going to try to deal away my picks," instead of,
"Oh, prospect 1 is 75 rated and is heroic, and prospect 2 is 68 rated but grew 4 rating this season, I need computer picks!" or "I've got the 28th overall pick, wow, the 50th overall prospect grew from 63 to 69 this season, steal!"

So overall, sorry if I rambled, but this topic really annoys me, and I wanted to get my opinion out. Keep in mind that I'm not the most experienced manager and I've never managed a team at GHL level.

    What do you guys think?
