  1. We do this deal for a couple reasons. Getting out of Pineda's deal may seem the obvious thing but we potentially take on more money if he chooses to opt out with Joseph. However Joseph will be our DH from next season as we won't be able to resign Roddy Espinoza.
  2. Indians agree. This will be Tomlins third stint with us and hopefully he can help out the struggling backend of our rotation. Thanks Sam and best of luck
  3. Indians accept. As above. I’ll miss Lil’Jordan but it’s great to have Espy back
  4. Indians agree We need bullpen help and Bass, despite a high BABIP, has still put up respectable numbers this season. We move out Alex Collins, who I still think could be the best player in this trade if he figures things out but I can't afford for him to keep costing me games. M.D. is decent but as Brenton described, very much a flyer. Thanks Brenton. Always a pleasure. (I feel like we must hold the record for most completed trades between two teams by now)
  5. The following deal has been agreed upon: CLE sends SS Micah Mason (R) CIN sends RP Yosuke Ichikawa Our bullpen ranks 14th or 15th in the AL and that's just not gonna cut it. While we think Ichikawa's numbers are due to rise a little, we still view him as an upgrade and a solid vet for our young, inexperienced bullpen. Mason is a rookie we like quite a bit and has serious defensive potential, but he is far away. Thanks Scott and all the best on the rebuild!
  6. Indians accept I know it's early in the season but we're concerned with how the middle of the rotation has performed so far this season so we decided to make a move now to upgrade considering there are few pieces available. Pill is a definite upgrade for sure. It's true, this wasn't even a thought yesterday and now it's done. Proud of you Brentoni. Hope these prospects work out for you
  7. The following deal has been agreed upon The Indians send 1B Nick Delmonico The White Sox send 3B Nick Brandon (A+) With the moves we've made, Delmonico found himself as the odd man out unfortunately, as we do like him. With this, we clear a much needed roster space and get a prospect who, despite his low intelligence and work ethic, is liked enough by my scout where I am somewhat intrigued. Thanks for the painless deal Hodges. Always a pleasure
  8. Indians accept. we overlooked the fact we had no lefties in our pen. Guerrero seemed to be one of the better affordable pieces and he will also give me a sweet, sweet popularity boost for the fans which means more moneys. love you Heinz
  9. We accept. Espinoza has proven that he can put up numbers in pitchers parks previously and can hit vs LHP, something Barnum cannot do. He also doesn't give us a long term commitment and fills a hole nicely until Gregorio Lopez is ML-ready. Thanks to Heinz for doing the heavy lifting on this one.
  10. Indians accept. its funny the difference in scouts. My scout feels like I got the best player here in Paschini and my scout also really likes White. But we did give up a couple guys I liked in Lemons and Reed. Either way, this is a crapshoot anyway. Thanks Matt. Prospect swaps are always fun
  11. We accept this deal with the devil. We needed an excellent defensive SS who can get on base and Suzuki fits that role perfectly. He is no stud defensively, but he can get on the bag at a decent clip. We also think Betances could be a bounceback candidate but with the 100% retention, there is no real risk involved on my end. The prospects are good but blocked by better options and Torres was a fave of mine but oft-injured and can't play SS I begrudgingly thank Rocky for the deal
  12. The following trade has (finally) been agreed upon CLE sends RP James Serrano (AAA), RP Donald Austin (AAA), 3B Antonio Morales (AAA), SS Bill Weaver (A Lake County), RF Joe Gray Jr (A Lake County) & SP Tahnaj Thomas (A-) ATL sends RF Nick Williams & 1B Keon Barnum We have been working on this trade with Brenton for weeks now. We do give up some guys we really like, specifically Serrano and Austin but we get an OF who can hit LF and RF in Williams and a potential RBI guy in Barnum, two areas we needed to address. Brenton, even though sometimes trading with you is a nightmare, it always ends up as a pleasure. All the best mate
  13. Indians agree A forgotten part of our Stras deal. Heinz is a dummy for forgetting to include the cash, and I am a dummy because I didn't check. You're the best Heinz
  14. The Indians agree. This wasn’t really in our plans but an opportunity arose (we really wanted Winter but missed that bus) and I decided to jump on it. Stras showed no signs of letting up after returning from injury and were in a position to afford his contract so, while we think Macoy could be really good, this along with the addition of Pineda, gives us what we believe to be one of the better rotations in mlb pro. Insert generic thanks to trade partner here.
  15. The following deal has been agreed upon: Indians send 1B Isaaco Sico & LF Tyler Hill (A+ Lynchburg) Blue Jays send SP Michael Pineda This is a bit risky with Pineda coming off a big injury but we feel there is enough there when he is healthy that this was worth a shot. Sico is a decent but not great 1B and Hill is someone who could be good but I don't mind moving him. Hopefully Pineda fills a gap that we need to fill and this moves us to that next level. Thanks Mitchell. You're a gem, but Drake sucks
  16. Indians confirm. We like Javier as a DH, especially vs LHP, our weakness. The pitchers are decent but still question marks in my scouts eyes. Thanks Soze
  17. Indians confirm. We had no plans on bringing Egan Smith back and we figured taking a chance on a couple fliers would be worth it. Plus Otero’s nickname is god-tier. Thanks Hodges. You’re a champ
  18. Indians accept. We liked the Montero signing at the time but he didn’t provide the numbers we were really after. We will miss Lester but felt shedding the contract was worth it. Always a pleasure Hodges
  19. Indians accept. It's not the big deal we've been trying so hard to swing but Khris Davis does indeed mash lefties and can platoon with Ayala, who has been awful vs LHP. We liked Eierman quite a bit but felt this trade was worth it. Thanks Jason for the easy negotiations
  20. The following deal has been agreed upon CLE sends SP David Price, SS Derek Fletcher (AA) NYY sends CF Dee Gordon (AAA) The following deal is purely financial. We believe Price still has value but we just can't afford the contract. We lose a good IF prospect in Fletcher to unload Price and get back Gordon, who hasn't been very good this year but we feel he could still have value as an incredibly well-paid pinch runner Thanks Rhett. You are a true gentleman in this league of heathens
  21. We accept. Shuler is a guy I targeted in the draft but missed out. My scout thinks he could be quite good plus his name goes in the name hall of fame. We like Rhodes but with no real prospects minus Rosado in AAA, and with our ML PC spot filled, Rhodes was expendable. Always a pleasure Jack
  22. Indians confirm. We send some loose change for a couple guys my scout likes and hopefully they turn into something. Thanks Rockies. Always a pleasure
  23. Tribe accept. We like French but we think his arb number next season is a bit high for a backup to my backup. Didi more than likely wasn’t going to make it to the big roster for me either. We get a couple of younger catchers that my scout likes and another person to add to the name hall of fame in Flobert Ubbels Thanks Jack. Easy as always
  24. Hi Matt. Can Tago please be sent to San Diego as part of my trade with them? Thanks
