West Chicago vs. Deadwood game today brought back some memories of those two teams battling it out in Biscuit.
Strange game indeed. But I didn't expect anything less.

Welcome back Kim!
Thanks X!

Urgh, didn't have time to analyze my entire team today, so default lineups (D at forward position, etc...).
Lost SO in my first game back

Hi,
Back!

And even overspending isn't always enough... wasn't in the old GPHM anyway...
Haha, epic. Tadros was a beast. Had the record for most fighting as well.

Great job Erzac!

I actually think 6,5 is a very reasonable contract for a player of that caliber (10M is pushing it of course). For what it's worth, I think all top players should make 6+ million as a rule of thumb. Of course we're very far from that atm.
You're right but the cap needs to go up then. Especially if you want to compare GHL with NHL.

Thanks Paul. Love our NHL version. Go Pens :-)

Between Protons and the Vandals, you guys have won 8 of the last 10 GHL titles (6 Protons/2 Vandals) with Vandals trying to repeat.
Trying to root for one of you in this series is like trying to decide which cousin I should try to kiss at the family reunion.
Haha, good one Steve.
Just a small update, it's 5 for Protons and 3 for Vandals ;-)
My team must be way under the radar if you missed again

Sure there are other aspects that need some change but that's not the point.
The first 20-25 games are crucial every beginning of the season. Confidence is reset and every team can win from any team. If you start off badly it can be crucial. Thus, if you have a though schedule to begin and it's every season the same, it can go downhill fast.
-
So am I the only one thinking this needs to be changed?

One of the greatest stars in GHL might be negotiable.
Noah Arbour - 31 years old - Forward - 94 OVR - Star
Still 2 years remaining contract at 5,7M.
Doesn't need to go but looking at the offers. Looking for a very decent return and who knows, if the offer is very good I might let him go.

New season, new challenges. Good luck everyone.
The first 20-25 days are crucial. As long as the confidence isn't perfect any team can win from any team.

@Steve: When teams promote and they have players from lower league(s) they can cut them for free.
Roster limit sounds good to me. It will solve some problems for sure.

Hi,
Not sure if this has been reported already but I didn't find anything about it.
Every season it's the same schedule. It would be realistic if this could be randomised every season.
Thanks.

I completely agree on this.
However if these contract changes happen there need to be a few extra additions as well:
- Increase cap space. Like you said if we want to make it more real, like NHL for example, the cap space needs a boost in every league. If the contract adjustments kick in then the current cap space is far too less. I'm not saying we would need to sign all the players because that would be the same problem, but if contracts are adjusted and you can only keep 7-8 players due to the cap space then all the building is for nothing.
- AI improvements in player accepting contracts. Right now every player accepts his new contract. At least in GHL. It's too easy to sign a player, even when you're a top team or a bottom team in GHL.

I'm watching the forum once in a while but didn't check my team for 3 weeks. I won't continue playing. Too much changes that killed it for me and rarely some trade activity. Good luck!
