Chris reacted to GM Games in [GM Games] Details emerge of the new Franchise Hockey Manager FHM 4 (PC, Mac)
OOTP Developments, the creators of Out of the Park Baseball and Franchise Hockey Manager have released details about the new game to be released on October 6, 2017
[Contents of this press release has been compiled from the OOTP Developments Press Release]
FHM 4 is officially licensed by the NHL®, it packs even more features than FHM 3 and takes the series to a whole new level in terms of realism and gameplay.
New features in FHM 4
2017-18 team rosters
Take over a team in one of over 24 playable leagues that feature real current rosters based on countless hours of detailed research into player ratings. In addition to the National Hockey League® license, which gives FHM 4 real logos, uniforms, and histories for all 31 teams, the game features North American minor leagues, Canadian major junior leagues, and multiple levels of European hockey leagues.
Vegas, baby!
Yes, you can roll the dice with the new NHL® expansion team, the Vegas Golden Knights™. Take control of the team as it was built through the expansion draft or return those players to their original teams and remake the Golden Knights™ according to your strategic vision.
Unprecedented customization
FHM 4 features even more ways to set up a league. In additional to pre-configured structures, choose the number of conferences and divisions in your league, its schedule length, and the number of teams.
The most hockey ever
Travel as far back as the 1917-18 season and enjoy historically accurate rosters, including the early major leagues in western Canada! FHM 4 puts more hockey history at your fingertips than any game ever released.
In addition, try one of FHM 4’s 30 new historical challenges (one per NHL® team) and see if you can repeat, or improve on, such successes as Montreal’s 1950s dynasty, Philadelphia’s 1970s expansion wins, and Vancouver’s wild ride to the 1982 Stanley Cup® Final!
Challenge Mode
You can also put your hockey smarts to the test in the modern day with Challenge Mode, a new twist that pushes you to compete and win even when the odds are stacked against you. It’s a spin on the popular Path to Glory Mode, which is now available in every aspect of FHM 4.
Commissioner Mode
You can now take the top-level view in all game types and make changes as you see fit.
Worldwide playable leagues
Take the reins of a team in Austria, Belarus, Denmark, Slovakia, Poland, and other countries, in addition to returning favorites. FHM 4 also features a European Champions League and more international competitions than ever.
Staggering detail
Many more new features include:
A new Hall of Fame system Line chemistry Player uniform number assignments Postseason awards Dramatically expanded statistical tracking Single game records Club alumni lists In-game audio and visual enhancements

Chris reacted to millerjg01 in Anybody else in love with Bowl Bound?
Probably personal preference. I like BBCF better for several reasons. But DDS: College Football is fun and because its newer, there are more mods out there. For example, somebody has created the endzone graphics for a bunch of difference conferences (not all). These are the little things that make the games more realistic and fun.

Chris reacted to jokeroman in How do I change system settings to allow downloads on my Mac?
It may depend alot on the settings of your mac. If you go in you should find the option, I think somewhere under 'security'.
On a slightly related note, I'm having almost the same problem on my Linux system. It's slightly different than windows, but maybe someone here is using and can help out?

Chris reacted to millerjg01 in Anyone play Draft Day Sports College BBall?
I play it. I play vs the AI. It's a really fun game. The $35 gets you the game in full. It's not a 'by the season' fee.
It's a great game. Very indepth. The recruiting is fun (you can even cheat and offer players cars, money, etc. and you can get caught and put on probation). You control every aspect of running a college basketaball team. You can coach the games or let them sim. It's a great game.

Chris reacted to millerjg01 in NCAA Basketball Sim Games
I had a MacBook Pro and asked the same thing. I even emailed Greydog Software and Wolverine Studios (they both have fantastic college basketball sim games) and asked them if they had any plans to make their games for Mac (like Out of the Park Baseball does) and they both said no plans. I eventually gave my MacBook Pro to my youngest daughter and went out and bought a PC. Yes, I bought a PC JUST to play DDS: College Basketball, DDS: College Football, and Bowl Bound College Football.....ha

Chris reacted to millerjg01 in Anybody else in love with Bowl Bound?
Yes, you can edit players and coaches in BBCF really easily. You go to Options and then Edit Players or Edit coaches. It's really simple. You can edit players in DDS: College Football but you have to jump through a couple hoops first.

OOTP is amazing. Love every aspect of this game. I also really like DDS: College Basketball. It's really fun and I usually end up offering some recruit a car to get him, lol.

Any GM game that has the ability to customize players, teams, and logos.
Football games like Front Page Football 98 that lets you design plays.
