You can use the "report cheater" -button to get the manager suspended until Anders comes back and can handle him personally. He has indeed been "touring" from one world to another doing the same thing and when getting banned moving to a new world.

I'm ok with the 10%. If there was no budget cost then people could fill two teams full of their own prospects with no regard to finances. In the long run, 10% of a players contract is very doable but some teams will need to make adjustments with the new systems in play. Let's say you want 6 prospects to go into each of your Affiliate teams and let's assume that we are talking GHL budgets. If you have 12 guys with $1 Million contracts that calculates out to a grand total of $1.2 Million in Affiliate costs (nearly the price of one decent player).

I think it also depends on Manager style. Some may want to take the long approach and pick up a lot of young, developing players to build a pool while some Managers may prefer the win now strategy. Either way, I feel Like the 10% contract cost is a good trade off.

Nice to see these types of stats!

When it comes to SHL, there's a really close battle for the top 2 spots between three teams, Pinehurst Miners lead with 109 points, Buckingham Breakouts are second with 105 and Lake Viking Bulldogs are breathing just few points behind at 99. Really interesting to see which teams make it to GHL. (Hope it's mine and then one of the other two lol)

What IneffableLeafs said sums it pretty well in my opinion. One thing I've thought of: players puck handling and maybe physical categories could also effect how easily players give away the puck. I'm not sure if this is the case, but would make sense in my opinion.

I believe that's just the role CPU set him to play as junior according to his ratings when the player was first created. Then the player developed in different ratings and the computer doesn't change the role so he stayed at grinder. Never thought of it as a "natural" role for the player, but it could be that as well I suppose.

#3: The colour changing after you have taken over the team should come with All-Star accounts (supporter accounts) at some point in the future, with new shirt designs as well.

And cannot wait till you get your guide updated Rainsilent, that is a must read - even for a 2 year veteran like myself.

I call that: "playing yourself out of a job", when a player becomes unsignable.

Probably the fault of their agent though, telling them they're GHL ready, when no GHL team will hire them.

Would be funny to add a groveling feature: where 10 games into the season, you get a message from one of these guys that you have shortlisted, and the message essentially says: "Sorry to bother you, but if you have any space left on your team, I might be willing to take a pay cut. No more agent fees to pay, since I've fired him!"

The Breakouts have just beat the Oshawa Dynasty Heroes 3-1 for the 2nd place in the Silver Hockey League.

The match was even fight, with puck possession going 51-49 to the Breakouts, shots 30-27 for Heroes. In the end the Breakout's top 6 was responsible for all of the three goals scored today and Jensen only allowed 1 goal with S% of 96,7%.

The season is looking good for the young team, now they just have to hold the 2nd place for the rest of the season to make it to the GHL.

jusatin got a reaction from bhandsome08 in Drafting Order
I personally set them all in the order I want to prioritize them and then just leave the draft pick selection "with any pick". So I would have them:

    A1 - Any pick
    B1 - Any pick
    A2 - Any pick
    C1 - Any pick
    B2 - Any pick
    A3 - Any pick
    C3 - Any pick
    B3 - Any pick
    C3 - Any pick

This way you will always get the player highest in your own order and don't have to worry about skipping players just because they are on the wrong round (happened to me during the first few drafts).

    E:
I also add more than just 3 players from the first round, just to be safe I get a quality player with my first pick at least.

This is something that is really getting on my nerves.

I'm 1st in the SHL currently, which is a very controversial spot.

I've literally been spammed with offers from about half of the GHL for my 1st round pick, because there is an 86 rated goalie propsect in the draft class, which I obviously want.

All I'm asking is that you can set your picks and prospects to be untouchable or on the trade block, because I've literally rejected like 15 offers in the last 10 days.

This trade isn't borderline. Almost no matter who you draft you are going to be getting a player that can play now and will likely be a future star in the league and at worst a cornerstone that a team can build around. In return you gave a 2nd round draft pick (depending upon who is drafted this is the best thing given in return,) a defender that will at best be a 3rd pairing D in the GHL, one forward that, in the very long term, may develop enough to play in the GHL and one defender that never will, outside of extreme circumstances, play in the GHL. That is hardly a fair return for a cornerstone quality player.

It is worth analyzing every trade because these trades exploiting the CPU NEED to stop. The rest of the managers playing this game don't need a few managers getting careless and greedy to ruin the game through exploits.

Computer trading in of itself isn't cheating no but I have pointed out too many times in this forum that exploiting flaws in a game to your advantage is cheating. That means that exploiting computer teams via trades is cheating. That is exactly what you are doing in your trades.

Your point is massively flawed, poorly thought out and exceptionally weak as a result.

A new manager doesn't need to make trades with computer teams unless there are too few human managers to try to trade with. Unless you are in the GHL (which a new manager will never be able to be in) or on the brink of reaching the GHL you should not be concerned about the GHL, top teams or top players. They are completely out of your reach in every way. You should only be concerned about your league and what you can do in it. Also the edge will never get bigger unless you stop learning the game and resort to things like what you are doing to "catch up" to a perceived gap that isn't there to begin with.

Regarding new teams getting to the GHL it is completely within the realm of possibility to have a very competitive team your first year there. I am the perfect example of that. To my knowledge I am the most recent team, and one of the very few, so far that has made the playoffs their first year after promotion in the GHL for this game world and it wasn't by fluke. No it wasn't easy. It was rather difficult. It should be. You are a SHL team promoting to the GHL. Be realistic with your expectations. Honestly I still think that I would have been better off team wise staying in the SHL for one more season but I made my very unexpected promotion to the GHL work. Every offseason there are a number of quality GHL players to grab for the at least 2 teams that rank up into the GHL. Yes the top talent is maybe a total of 3 to 5 players but you only need 2 maybe 3 such players. My first year I grabbed 3 such players out of about 6 or 7. Two forwards and a defender. I then grabbed a few role players to fill out my team and my team played well enough to get into the playoffs. On the way I traded 2 of those top players for a top goalie and 2 lesser skilled forwards. Yes the trades were with computer teams but notice that I traded 2 top talent players for one top talent player and two lesser talented players in return. I didn't try to finagle top talent away from computer teams via giving a number of lesser players in return.

Trading with computer teams is not a problem. Exploiting the computer in trades to get an unfair advantage is a problem. No exploiting the computer in trades is not an answer to a bigger problem. There is no bigger problem. The only problem there may be is your own inability to learn and improve yourself as a manager and exploiting the computer in trades is not the solution to that problem. Never, in any multiplayer game, is using in game exploits of any kind to your advantage an "answer" to a "problem" perceived, proven and known or otherwise.
