Ok, I was quite surprised that I can make a decent team from even small country like Czech Republic.
 
But to compete with Canada or USA, I guess Europe need to merge some teams... I can work with Slovakia for example and called it Czechoslovakia. I just hope no Slovaks play Biscuit, they would hate me... maybe

Great goalies, really shitty defense, Erzac    But it is actually slightly better than what I was excepting from single European country. Maybe one can make at least Sweden, Finland and Russia + the rest of the Europe teams.

I thought it would be cool to create national teams. I started off with Canada and USA as they have the biggest pool of players to select from. Please note that this is just a shortlist I created and what I thought are the best OVR players in Biscuit. I changed some centers to forward as they would be better in that position ofcourse.
 
Please feel free to change or discuss the teams. And if you want to create one of your own or from another country, that would be nice as well. So I always selected 6 centers, 10 forwards, 8 defenders and 3 goalies.
 
 
I wonder how these teams would end up in a best of seven :-)

Maybe your team is full of injury prone players... are they named Letang or something like that?

I started looking into team/city locations out of curiosity.  Being a visual guy who digs graphics, I decided to pull a map together.  Below is a map of all GHL teams.    If I get more free time I may do SHL/BHL.  Enjoy.

I have 4th defense (you have 5th) in the league, based on total GA, but I was hoping to be in top3 (and close to first, not 30 GA away) with all the skill I have in defense and goalkeeping. Minutemens and Vandals both have awesome defense and goalies, but I'm not that far away and I should be better than Grizzlies on paper, I think. Maybe I will switch tactics soon...
Bublik is far from the dominant goalie he was 2 seasons ago, which is strange since I did not changed anything (both he and the defense corps improved by training, tactics is the same) - so I guess the forwards in the other teams improved faster

Yeah, I haven't had a goalie injury in a long time. I did get a guy that had a concussion down in the affiliate team this season though. I haven't been monitoring my affiliate team fitness well though so for all I know that Goalie could have passed out from exhaustion mid-game and hit his head on the crossbar!

Looking at play-by-play reports, it seems that injuries are very much tied to getting hit and being in the receiving end of infractions like high-sticking. Since goalies don't get hit etc. they seemingly only get injured by some (apparently very low) random injury chance, and like said, maybe tiredness plays a part there.

As mentioned in title, affiliate players contract should be shown like:

I just recall player form there just to realize he is injured, which I did not know about (also not for how many matches until I counted it). Since there is no IR, I'm sending injured 2W players from my A team to affiliate and I think I will not get message that they are healthy again. That would be great thing to add.

Also it would be nice to remove affiliation stats form TEAM LEADERS table. Does not make any sense to see somebody has 20 points player in AAHL before GHL league game.

I'm a little late with this introduction as I joined late in Season 9.  I've already chatted with quite a few of you via message, but figured I'd throw down the official introductory post.  About me:  I'm a huge hockey fan from Boston.  I manage the Def Leppards, I mean Deferiet Leopards in BHL.  Season 10 seemed to be successful given the team's history and I'm looking to improve on that in S11 and continue that success in the SHL in S12 We'll see...
 
I was reading an interview with Anders and this part got my attention:
 
Realsim. With ”realistic feeling” I don´t mean the use of real player and team names. It was never an issue that I couldn’t play with my favourite team Ottawa Senators and sign Sidney Crosby to the team. What I´m looking for is much more subtle. I want to get the feeling that there is real persons behind the all the numbers and facts. I missed a game where the psychological values played an equal part to all the numbers.
 
Well, you nailed it!  I don't know where this game as been all my life as I immediately became addicted.  Anders has really done a fantastic job with everything and I'm glad to have found this game.

I think I will just lie low until game 35 again.  It almost worked last season as I was the only team to beat the Champs in a Playoff game!  Another goal in Game 3 and who knows what could have happened!?!? 

HurjaHerra - that actually might happen At least I consider first 7 teams as playoff teams, maybe not in the same order, but close to it. Then Violet Volcano should be in, although Senet's back with the ex-Moapa Valley team, which should be really dangerous combination.

I checked the 16 goalies in GHL in action in game 1 of the season and... we are getting pretty old. Like King Henrik would be here just fine...
 
The average age is 30.5, but median is 31.5 and 9 goalies are 30 or older. 34 is the most frequent age. One goalie was 18 and one was 21 (they were the reason for not so high average). 38 is the oldest goalie in action (I won!).

Calculated on day 5 of S11, using:
 
Team OVR = (OFF + (DEF x 2) + (SG x 2))/26
 
where
OFF = Combined overall of 12 best centers/forwards
DEF = Combined overall of 6 best defenders
SG = Overall of starting goalie (best overall goalie in team)

I checked the 16 goalies in GHL in action in game 1 of the season and... we are getting pretty old. Like King Henrik would be here just fine...
 
The average age is 30.5, but median is 31.5 and 9 goalies are 30 or older. 34 is the most frequent age. One goalie was 18 and one was 21 (they were the reason for not so high average). 38 is the oldest goalie in action (I won!).

Thanks for this. I see that even with the goalie degradation, my team is still good to go. Although my preseason games do not show this
