  1. Lowry would be tough to trade because of his salary. But I do want to note something about his value as an alpha dog leader. Toronto did not want an NBA title just because they got Kawhi for a year. They were already the #1 seed the year before and Kawhi just put them over the top. But what did Kawhi & Paul George do? The Clippers collapsed under pressure because they are not alpha leaders, and in fact, that is exactly what the Clippers don't have. Lowry's leadership was even more evident last year after Kawhi left, and I'm sure many NBA teams recognize this. Lowry has the same kind of effect that Chris Paul had with OKC last year and Pho this year. Both guys have shown their value after losing star players It will be interesting to see what kind of contract Lowry gets next. He doesn't put up $30 mil numbers, but he's among a small number of guys who have his level of leadership toughness (and I wasn't really a fan of his).
  2. I second the Jerami Grant pick. I knew he would be a breakout player once given the chance to start, but I don't think many people expected him to do as well as he has this season.
