Here's mine. There was a red engine logo but I can't seem to find it in the UAT beta...hopefully it will be available in the new release, since it's already in the current version. Other than that, I think I like it.
Some other variations, not sure which one looks better.
Ok, here's another update on what we're currently working on.
As mentioned earlier I have planned to introduce more diverse player ratings. A typical GHL player in the current game worlds has almost all ratings 90+. This makes almost all players very much alike and leaves very little room for the manager to be creative.
So in the upcoming release the hidden player potential value will no longer be a single value but actually six different potentials that each influences different rating values! The potentials are still hidden but are divided into the following categories; Agility, Strength, Vision, Precision, Stamina and Courage. All ratings are then based on one or more of these potentials and will develop in different speeds.
Hopefully this will bring more realism to the game and reward those manager who can make the most of their roster.
Good work! Hopefully this leads to a lot more variety in ratings and limit players with 90+ ratings to a very small minority, as it should be.
Just a small suggestion, but maybe try to tweak the values so multiple 90+ ratings will be less common? A player could really good in skating and shooting for example, but have defensive liabilities and what not. A good example in real life could be Tarasenko perhaps.
By the way, just to get back on topic, please keep the feature where you can change the player number to whatever you want. I know some GM's have said it's a useless feature, but I really like it. I like to give special numbers to my key players... #27 for leading defensemen like Niedermayer.. #8 to well performing snipers a la Ovechkin / Selanne... or #12 like Iginla.. It's just a brilliant feature and I love it.
I agree. I number my players like a soccer team (#1 for starting goalie, 2-5 for the best defensemen, etc). It's a nice neature to have.

Operation Sports is a pretty popular sports sim forum. You might find some reach there. You could also consider advertising on places like Reddit or other Hockey Sim communities like Eastside Hockey Manager.

Yes, and I doubt it. I don't think many are going to look at the current world and decide not to go to the updated one because it's still available, especially if, as you say, some of the current are "beyond screwed" (I assume you're referring to bugs and lacking features, specifically? Because while that's pretty much the case, it's still more than playable). As I said, if you're given the choice between a free, old version of a game that is not being updated and a low-cost, feature-heavy updated version of that same game, most are at least going to consider the latter, and I highly doubt any that wouldn't would take it if the old version is no longer available.
Moreso, it'd be a touch of goodwill towards those of us unable/unwilling to pay for the new release and could be a potential way to keep people around the site while it gets its feet wet. If the impressions from users are good enough, and payment options are manageable, I could potentially decide to give it a go, personally speaking, but if all I get is a 30-day trial and a really crappy free play option, I'm probably gone completely within a couple days, and I doubt I'm alone.
Perhaps I'm wrong though, and that's just me.
I can't buy your argument if you are going to stamp your feet and threaten to leave while saying there are others.
The game will be fine regardless of who decides to pay or leave. Throwing a subtle tantrum just makes you look bad.

Not sure what you are getting at. Are you suggesting the current worlds be kept open and free? That would just eat away from paying subscribers for the new worlds and game re-launch, and that wouldn't be a sound strategy IMO. Some of the game worlds are beyond screwed anyways.
IMO, I'm a big fan of a total reset in terms of players/stats. Some game worlds suffer from really high stat inflation which has become, quite frankly, incredibly unrealistic. It may help reduce the average retirement age to a more realistic number as well.
For the Bucs New team colors and moved the team from Palm Harbor to Pampano Beach. (Florida West coast to East coast)
For the Golden Lions new Mascot and new team colors.
For the Joshua Tree Medeors New colors, New Team nickname and a new Mascot.
FYI: Joshua Tree National Park is not nearly as well know as the other parks in California but well worth a visit!
Again, Thank you very much for the work that went into this!!! I was only joking about a one time color change but WOW. This was awesome!!!!
Agreed! Went camping there a few years ago with a friend. Beautiful place with lots of interesting geological features. We went off-roading and explored some the old mining areas in the park. Very cool.
If Anders and Tobias need the funds to keep the game alive, then a subscription fee is the only way unless they go down the route of "free to play" games which oftten turn out to be a microtransaction trap....(see Wargaming's games for example). We don't want that, do we?
If ad revenue is out of the question, I don't see any other solution.
EDIT: They could raise funs on a fundraiser website like Indiegogo or GoFundMe, I suppose.
