Do you sign your second draft pick?

September 14, 2017 - 12:41 PM

In my very limited experience, the #2 pick is such a drop in skill, he doesn't make the cut by age 21. Makes me wonder if the #2 pick (and by extension, #3) is worth it.

What are other GMs experience? What do *you* do with your #2 and #3 picks?

Season 20 -- Would you like my player?

August 01, 2017 - 01:43 PM

I have a 89ovr goalie, aged 31, that needs to go because he's asking too much. I will be releasing him so if you want him you could wait for Silly Season... or if you want to beat that, send me a msg.

Mixed Profile/Roles - Grinder is a Sniper?

June 20, 2017 - 11:25 AM

I have a player who, when you first bring up his player card, is categorized as a Grinder. But when you actually review the player roles, he is a natural Sniper, and is only "good" at his Grinder role.

Is that common? He is only 21yo, so maybe he'll grow into the Grinder role? He's getting to the point where I could try him out as a sniper, but is he going to suck?

Anyone else run into this? If so, how did your guy work out?

Thank you,

Greg

Trading freeze on team takeover

June 06, 2017 - 01:45 AM

BHL Clapper has now had two instances where a team was taken over for one day, traded away assets, and then abandoned. In both cases, assets were traded to the same target team.

I think that it would make sense to impose a 10-day trading freeze with any team that has just been taken over. You don't have to bother with an IP search to determine if this is the same player or not. Maybe there are two players colluding? Who knows. Putting a small time delay just makes it more annoying to try to take advantage of the system.

It won't get rid of this issue, but it may possibly cut down on it's occurrence.
